that is pretty unrealistic since the explosion of a chopper / plane can never clear a camp. The impact is too little. If you are a pilot and you kamikaze into a camp then I doubt you can be revived. I often played medic and were never able to locate a crashed pilot or the rest of the crew. Maybe he jumped out shortly before the impact. Besides, if the medic is supposed to jump out beforehand then he can A) jump near the enemy base... in such a case he is usually shot dead right away. Or B) he can jump far away from enemy base but then he wont be able to arrive at the site of the accident in time. AND he would have to search for the pilot first! So your story sounds interesting but is hardly possible!

Well as I said, You dont need to read much in order to identify their programm for the upcoming election. You said there are no indicators of how they intent to rejuvinate the economy and boost employment and how those steps can be financed? Just read the silly ole Bild Zeitung What else do you want. For me this is a pretty transparent programm months ahead of the election. sorry for not translating this into english, some terms are just pretty hard to transform into english

BIS, just like any other game developer, depends on the main stream gamer to a great extent. Sure OFP has a great and loyal community but this crowd alone doesnt guarantee break-even of the development costs. I wonder if BIS has ever made the calculation of how many copies they have to sell more for each additional day working on the game. And then they have to initiate the marketing avalanche weeks before the game is being released. hard to tell whether they will be ready in time. If not the marketing bubble will pop without effect. So the game actually MUST be released when attention is there, even if it is fully bugged. I dont know how strategical the gaming industry has become yet. But in other sectors it is definetly as complicated as that. The difference is. EA would have the power to develop interesting experimental games with smaller risks of failure. BIS is developing such a game and doesnt realy have any power at all!

boycott doesnt work nowadays anymore. .. reminds me of big multimedia stores like MediaMarkt. They got no service whatsoever, often rude employees and illegal selling techniques but noone seems to care because it is cheap. The chain grows faster every year. Same goes for computer games The very abusive license agreements and the insulting requirements of Steam for HALF LIFE 2 caused no sales problems either. The game itself was totally overvalued. Lets admit it. The AI was rather ridiculous and after a great beginning it gets boring in the end. But what can we say about battlefield. I must admit that their move wasnt smart as far as their "reputation" is concerned. The message of their banning of servers is: "dont mod the demo, buy the game instead! But at the moment THERE IS ONLY THE DEMO OUT so why punishing people But in the end they dont have to care. From Half Life 2 they have learned the lesson that there might be a lot of crying and shouting but in the end people will buy it anyway. Marketing Propaganda rules over personal experience and perception.

Well I cannot share that point of view. I dont know how skilled you are with arcadish ego shooters but for those who are it is not that difficult. Man on Man fights I was basically successful most of the time. It is not challenging to kill someone with an MP4 and the pistols are pretty good at close range. The game is fun to a certain extent, mostly due to funny encounters. Yesterday I hided with my jeep next to a runway and waited  untill an airplane tried to lift off. Then i quickly parked my car in its path and got out of the way as quickly as I could. My jeep blew off but to my surprise the plane was still able to take off .. looked very damage though. There are a lot of very funny features and even if you dont like to play it longterm you should have a try witht the demo. Of course only if you are willing not to take the game too seriously. And for anyone who likes to perform stunts and do experiments this is the right game for it. I had lots of funny moments yesterday. BUT ONE THING must be said. Even at high settings the graphics are not as impressive as expected. And dont get frustrated if you are not too experienced with this sort of games. There are a lot of strange, unrealistic and often unfair tactics that make people achieve their goals. And use the boat and sandbuggy as often as you can. It is the most useful vehicules.

I tried them all and I was never too impressed. Adding vehicules just makes these games worse. Sure there needs to be some sort of balancing for arcadish games but for everyone who realised that metal is harder to penetrate than flesh will get confused by the illogic of such a game. Â Unfortunately the good graphics and the awesome sounds dont change this, this world doesnt feel reel if steel is like butter. I am currently downloading and I will give it a fair chance. But for me there is only two types of games with ego-perspective: OFP and real oldschool shooters. Maybe for the younger ones this still is fascinating! still big applause that they fit it into 500MB, thats just awesome!

If you dont see yourself here on that poster then post your image fast. I already printed it out once to have a look at it and it just looks awesome. Thanks to Daddl I would soon be able to publish this poster without any complications. But i first need to sort it out!

My point was that even the Bild newspaper sometimes publishes a clear table of the positions that the parties hold on one or the other issue. Very informative. After all I love to read it on a sunday morning, the FAZ ist just too demanding at this time of the day. Seehofer resigned because he couldnt stand that fact that he was overruled. Stoiber actually always backed him. I value Seehofer very much but he decided to take that step himself. Maerz was indeed a great loss. He was actually the most valuable politican the CDU had for decades. But he will return when time has come. Wanna bet? My point is that this is all just politics. It runs like every other business in the world. Corporate governance and Marketing are the issues that make it into the news. But their everyday research and work behind their table does not. No they dont live in denial of reality. Without those promises they wouldnt even the get the chance to be elected. It is not them that chose to say it, it is the naive voter who wants to hear it. That is what the SPD has finally realised. See what the voter sais when they play with open cards! The voter wants to hear lies and silly promises. The rule is and always be: get elected first and then see what is objectively achievable. Strangely enough it is the FDP that currently appears to have the smartest programms economically wise. I such a case I dont even care about laughable Guido running it. The FDP would currently get my vote if they stick with the programm. A highly simple taxation system has proven to have a great impact on strong economies. I want to get rid of every single inch of german bureaucracy, even if it means thousands of national administrators loosing their jobs. In the end it is our german overregulation and love for bureaucracy that kills our economical flexibility. ------- one people should live in one country? Well there once was a country called DDR. I think they were pretty much amongst themselves!

Balschoiw, sorry to mention this but you realy reperesent the picture many foreigners have of the current german generations. "Political whining". The CDU did the job of an opposition. This is pub-talk. You dont even have to read more than the BILD in order to determine the clear positions concerning e.g. plans of the income taxation system by CDU, SPD and FDP. There were/are alternative suggestions in place, and that for every sector by every party. People just dont bother to research them. The blocade was due to the majority in the Bundesrat. But that is politics, thats opposition. The SPD did the same with Waigels tax reformation plans (e.g. Köperschaftssteuer). First the SPD called it a "miserable" idea and two years later they implemented it to 99%. I am fed up of people whining about the parties programms cause often we all lack political knowledge and we are too lazy to research. 20 years ago people were politically far more involved. Not because politics were different but because the general citizen had a sense of responsibility. Nothing has changed since then. Same strategies, same speeches. But we dont grow tired to attack them with our semi-knowledge. ts ts .. semi knowledge (anyway.. he himself decided to resign. And he challenged the lobbyist before 1998, the boiling point of the debate about the Kopfpauschale came much later  ). Anyhow, I dont claim being knowledgable, but I dont whine about the miserable status of our politicians.

PDS? WASG? PDS? consisting of politicians that once kicked human rights with their shoes. Well considering your highly sophisticated approach of our constitutional laws (i may call it like that) I think this is a rather silly proposal. WASG? As far as I perceive it this party has basically only aims that would affect social and labour laws. I dont think they have any intentions to change "constitutional" laws. Thats just not their profile. Maybe you need to do a bit MORE research to determine the right party to vote. You cannot just vote "more left" in order to supress laws put in place by the SPD and CDU. I would rather switch to FDP and Grüne, which are rather established parties with at least some references than to PDS and WASG. But anyhow we seem to have totally different political positions. I am an old CDU/FDP defender but a CSU denier!

Considering my morals and my sense of democracy I would agree. But there are ideas which have proven highly dangerous in the past. And dont forget that certain political groups on the one hand use the rights of democracy (free speech) but on the other aim to destroy them. I find it quite amusing to see Nazis demonstrating even though if they would be in power the first thing they would do is to get rid of them. iNeo, in my eyes you just lost a lot of the honourable credit you once had. Even if you dont sympathise with "all" or "most" of their ideas... I would leave any demonstration that only a few Nazis would try to join. You did not. Dont forget that those ideas are probably the reason for many of our and your relatives deaths!
