Sure.. you just need to verify what the general names of US servers are. Try "EA US"! In oder to find it out you need to filter for ranked servers and then you will see several in the list that start with "EA" and then something "US Server Washington 11b". So if you type into the filter "EA US" you would probably get all official EA servers listed for the US. And dont worry about the ping. Those official servers allways have a good ping!

On the one hand I think this was the little slap france deserved for the Anti-EU attitude. On the other hand I believe France currently has so many problems that the french deserve a little "success story" now more than ever.

yes please. could you be more precise. Does that also work for other games or is there is a risk of conflicts? Me I am using a non spectacular Dell with 3.0 Gig, 1024 Ram and a 9800 Pro with a 21 Screen. For all those that use less than a P4 with 1.3 you should be stoned for stingyness! I threw away my P4,1.3 because noone wanted to buy it, not even for 50 Euro! and this was February 2004Â

A little word of advise for the europeans that have the full version. If you look for a good smooth ranked server just go into "Multiplayer" and type into the field with "server name" the following "EA Europe". The browser will then give you all ranked servers which, in my experience, have a good ping, good teamplay and a proper map circulation.

well it is easier in OFP, thats fore sure! .. But dont get me wrong.. I am not trying to put these 2 in competition. But I can say that there are interesting moments in it that OFP did not suceed in simulating yet. For example combat scenarios in tight cities!

Dont even think of buying it if your graphic card is slower than a Radeon 9800 Pro. The demo runs much smoother than the full version... some maps are basically only pixel sandstorm and smoke... and this is pretty tough on your hardware Ranked servers are still hard to find and very laggy. All in All the game is still full of bugs, most of them are related with server settings and connection problems. The maps playing in an arid environments are pretty nice and athmospheric, the others havent realy convinced me yet. They look too artificial. All in all the game has lots of potential. If you forget for a while that you are a hardcore realism OFP fan then you can indeed enjoy some very funny encounters and situations. Realy anoying however is that the game allows bunnyjumping, Ben-Johnson-sprinting, and precise aiming when running and jumping. That is just too damn ridiculous. Luckily it doesnt give you much of an advantage if you play on good servers. Actually if you would disable sprinting, disable the crosshair, allow jumping only once ever 5 seconds  disable the medic then it could realy be a good game even for a bit tolerant OFP players. Maybe we will see a mod out there like that one day!  If you got any questions concerning the full version just send me a pm! Â

I got used to the game a bit. Started of playing a medic but now mostly engineer and flying chopper. Due to OFP training I am quite good at it. It realy is fun but I doubt I will buy the full version. Have enough fun with the demo!

As I said. I will try to improve it during the weekend, I made it sharper and finer with shiny colors. Please let me know if you have a special layout in mind. AND I would also like a little banner at the bottom right corner. Maybe someone can create a little example. It wont be a lost effort cause in the end I realy want to print that in a large size.

I am somewhat fed up with the press putting down the Typhoon. Europe is always quick to protest when costly projects are being initiated. We condemn everything already in the starting phase. Now I hope that europe will learn the lesson from the new AirbusA380, the Typhoon, the NH-90, the Galileo satelites, the Tiger, the A-400M, the Taurus KEPD 350, the GTK, and many more. I hope that we are finally capable to look optimistic at new projects and approach them in a constructive manner. Unlike material bought from abroad they foster employment and investments flowing back into the european economy. I remember all the rant and rave in Germany when we developed the Transrapid speed train. It was realy a terrible athmosphere. Noone supported it, everyone used it to proof the waste of money of our government. Now the Transrapid seems to sell well. Even the UK is thinking to build one connecting the South with the North. I hope we see more european projects in the future. The Typhoon is an excellent plane. Full stop. And dont forget that the Typhoon that engaged the US fighters was just a training version!

Dont bother about the black line, in the original there is nothing like that. Please be assure that I will change a lot before posting the final version.

lookie lookie Anyhow, I am not too happy with the result. Maybe I should sharpen the images less, it needs more brillance and shine. Maybe I even have to redo the entire thingy! And then of course I need to layout the entire the poster. Which means I should add a good title at the bottom right corner. If anyone wants to create a nice one then I gladly use it. Maybe I am gonna print it on a photo paper and send it to Marek as a delayed birtday present from the community! Â Please feel free to comment from now on. I believe most of you have seen the film Gettysburg. I think it is worth mentioning too. Well dont expect to have a nice short popcorn evening with it. It is damn long and I believe relatively accurate so you need to keep your ears open while watching! Â

Not to mention the SAMs in the map. It's hard to be a helicopter with  three of those things on your arse. Once I tried to climb up the tall crane and shoot at choppers and planes from the top. You must be damn lucky. Still I succeeded once. Being a successful sniper on the crane isnt that easy either!

I dont understand what you mean... why do you say "destroying their own game"? They dont bomb their own bases. Nor is their primary idea to do spawnkillings. The idea is to conquer a new base, thats all! Each of the soldiers in the chopper will drop about 10 satchels into every direction, blow them up and then jump into a relatively cleaned landing zone. As their enemy you have lots of weapons at hand to prevent that. Countermeasures is all you need to know or invent!

Burns, once again be assured that this strategy is nothing new. And it will be practiced even more once certain clans are getting used to the game! This is not OFP, this is battlefield, nothing else than a modern "Worms 3D". Also it doesnt take more than one skilled soldier with a rocketlauncher to get that chopper down from the sky. Furthermore this tactic usually only kills enemies inside the camp and anyone who tries to protect a camp from the inside hasnt realy understood how to survive. You only catch the beginners with these chopperSatchels. The game is fun if you are willing to experiment a bit and let others experiment.

ok here comes a trick that realy works go get a blackhawk. Ask two special forces soldiers and one supporting soldier to assist you. Lift off with the blackhawk and fly to any of the enemy camps. Rise as high as you can and try to keep the chopper as right above the flag pole. Then ask the special forces soldiers to throw their satchel charges out of the chopper down into the camp. Thanks to the supporting soldier they are able to rearm constantly and keep throwing. Correctly done this is worse than a constant artillery fire .... without an ending!
