Hah, that world trade tower picture is a cheap american trick to make business with a desaster. Of course the german press is different. See below the German edition, the original oooppsss, is that a face or what?

Which nation will win most of the gold medals?
Albert Schweitzer replied to brgnorway's topic in OFFTOPIC
Oooooohhh, that little tiny country (in terms of population) Norway did pretty well! Â Â And I bet this very very good croos-country sports-fellow is gonna become the new national hero (besides Kronprinsesse Mette-Marit and kronprins Haakon). Unfortunately the only thing that destroyes the Olympic glory once again are those chemical-brothers that aimed for steroid based sucess. Kick them out (for years). [worship mode] bless the gods of the Olymp !!!! See you in four years........... by the way, where? -
ooooohhhh nearly!!!! right into the goalies balls!

Didnt I say that you got a bit of a swiss diplomat,. They were right to ask you! Anyway, i m gonna find your weak spot where even you can get anoyed. There must be a topic in this world where you get  I dont know what is wrong with my MOH cause I can hardly access any multiplayer game, (try but fail to access the server)

Why are we called Jerries? Anyone has a name for a swiss?

If you were british then I wouldnt have said it cause the results of this motor were so bad this year (motor exploedes at max speed) that they kicked out one engineer (Simon Armstrong) after the other!! Actually Mario Illien is afraid he is gonna lose the contract with Mercedes and Mercedes is afraid that the will loose the season with their MP4-17 . However the car performed reasonably well on Shakedown day. The austrian driver got a time of 1.21,110. which is okay, but that is not enough against a Ferari Anyway, Hakkinen is gone now we got Raikkönen

The engineers are german, the car is german, the motor is a "Mercedes Benz" motor. Mc-Laren has not much to do with the car itself, it is managing the drivers, the logistics, the finances and so on. (but if you insist about the car being British, what would it change in terms of temperament against the Italian Ferari?)

I realy enjoy the winter-olympics. Whether snowy countries succeed more or less I dont realy care cause in fact most disciplines can be carried out without living in a cold environment (Germany is not really snowy! why does France perform so badly? Why does Italy perform so bad? Or Canada?) I think it is not fair to say that the Winter-olympics dont have the same right of existance as the summer-olympics. Fact is that the summer-events are much more commercialised and therefore loose much of the proclaimed olympic spirit. Furthermore is doping "mainly" a Summer-olymp problem. I like the winterolympics cause the sports come in such a great variety and distinctiveness. And what I like most: You dont have to watch those super-egos like Gwen Torrence and Michael Johnson. Did you ever see them with a friendly smile? Â Â I only know them with the " who is the bad m o t h e r f u c k e r here ?" facial expression (and still their gold-chains around their throat). No thank you!

The main weak factor of a German is his lack of temperament. So the one and only solution is: put this guy into a red italian car. Who wants to beat him? Hakkinen is Scandic and the worst thing you can do with him is putting him into a boring German car. In this equation minus and minus dont make plus, but double minus

You ve become a Moderator? Since when? (I am not the fast type of person) RTCW is great MP fun and it is well thought trough so each weapon has euqal weight of advantages and disadvantages and the maps offer great potential for strategies. Today I am going to check out MOH multiplayer over Gamespy. Lets see how it works. (BTW the best blood patch for MOH is called "User-qCovakBlood.pk3", it is not overdone and harmonises with the game Here you find patches)

Okay, I hope I dont get stoned for my preposition! Why dont we put up a list a list of funny names that we use to call people from other nations (as long as they are not insulting or bear a heavy historical load). But no discrimination please. I know that we germans are sometimes called by some of our Surnames, such as  Franz, Horst aso. In the UK and Ireland they call us Krauts ( I guess because of Sauerkraut, which I havent eaten for 15 years). I remember something like Thomys for either Americans or UK people (dont realy know) In Mexico they use the Gringo thing which I think comes from Green-go (soldier). In Thailand (partially Burma and Kambodja) they call us "fallangs" which is nothing else than decades of evolution of the word "foreigners" (so nothing bad with that). For the french we say "Franzos", which is nothing else than a French saying: "a french" in German (with a french accent). You know any "none" insultive names for people from other nations?

Its anoying, now there are three threads about it, so we basically have to state our opnion three different times. And we are forced to give them in three different versions basically saying the same. My point is: I like MOH but lets wait and see a few days from now. I can still play Operation Flashpoint and I still get excited (especially messin around with the mission editor). But Medal of Honour shows 0% tolerance for a man like me who likes to take the backdoor, go through the backyard, mess around with the sea and the bunkers, blow up chairs ...... Cause it is totaly pre-scripted and the level looks like a clear-defined path that you have to follow. It basically is like a golden-cave. I know of myself that I get bored easily. (RTCW defines itself rather as a multiplayer game, and in this area it beares great great fun)

I had the same problem. I got a 21cm screen pretty new and it is capable of doing it around 85Hz at 1600-1200 but my eyes hurt terribly, I couldnt do anything against it. Then I found out that stupid Windows seems to enforce a rate of about 60Hz to 70Hz. The best solution is a " f u c k you Windows" programm which allows you to do things that stupid Windows doesnt. The best and most popular (easy to use) is Power-Strip. You can download it for free and easily tune everything concerning graphics. No risk with that programm (and it is fast to download)!! Take it and your problems will be solved. Trust me!
-
it is terribly prescripted, yes you are absoutely right. It is like going through a tunnel. It anoys me somehow, why didnt they enlarge the whole thing a bit.

what do you chose? Which multiplayer mode?

BTW I found a blood-patch on a british site, that create traces of blood on walls and ground. Funny, it usually works but Omaha beach remains clean. I wonder if the whole thing is pre-rendered, cause always the same soldiers die on the same spot- and no blood!!! Not like OFP! I had the same problem, when loading a mission it went to load my explorer, why?? I had to delete all my direct internet-connections to get around this problem, anyone knows the answer? my MOH screenshots
-
has anyone looked at my screenshots? I think they easily portray what I went through at Omaha beach. Lets face it, while in OFP the developers were 100% focused on realism & accuracy, the developers of MOH concentrated on athmospherics. /(even though in OFP the "morning in the forrest when the sun awakes" is realy athmospheric too).

some more cool (or anyoing) screenshots My Medal of Honour Screenshots (page 2)
-
Okay here are some of my screenshots from today. I decreased their quality and size so badly that you hardly see the pain that lies in this mission. That was h e l l  !!! (the images should load quickly). If you wont be anoyed about me posting this heavy files I will post more. all images

The blood patches I have tried so far didnt realy harmonise with the game,... wow there were great clouds of blood, there was blood on the floor, blood on the walls, but sorry, this is not RTCW. But there are several patches, I will keep trying, if I find a good one, I will tell you.
-
Does anyone mind if I post a screenshot? (cause it might get slow)

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Damage Inc @ Feb. 22 2002,22:01)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">There's no blood in the game.<span id='postcolor'> True, but you can download a variety of Blood-patches. Be assured you can chose corresponding to your desires (thick or thin, dark red or light red... ). The game is made with love, the little details are done with a lot of creativity. I used such a blood-patch and I must admit it did not improve the game, cause the soldiers die realistic enough (no, in reality I havent seen anyone dying yet). E.g. In of the rooms you see a model of a little submarine, and this model is tiny but so detailed, i couldnt believe it. The Germans are well done, typical behaviours, typical 1940 slang, realy cool (and they are good fighters). The sound rocks and the athmosphere is great. IF you liked the Beach-scene in Saving Private Ryan you will enjoy the game (cause it is basically the same). The explosions are graphic-revolutions and the make every bone inside you shiver like ####. I bought it today and I realy enjoy it. . Furthermore I think the game can be played adequately even with slower PCs.

Oops, Canada 2 vs USA 1 how is it gonna end, well..?

If I go for objectivity I read the NEUE ZÜRICHER (swiss). But the problem is, objectivity can sometimes be damm boring.
