    Why americans scare me

Yeah right, Switzerland! Bull- and Cowshit! Cant be! What about the ancient States of the USSR, What about .... well I could list a thousand countries. No way Belgium is ahead of those (dont forget that Belgium's population is probably 1/1 cows to human ). Or do your cows carry firearms! Je rigole

    Do you use kazaa?

I use Kazaa. It is still pretty young, but it is fast and the library is okay. A university in Dresden recently published a study on the new 'Napsters' and Kazaa got the best marks of all.

    Give me your windows surface

Well, here is mine, (I had to change the background, cause otherwise you wouldnt have seen the icons) Of course there is nothing special about such a screenshot, however I find it very interesting what applications you got constantly running and which you turn off (to spare resources). Half of the staff you see there is free or share-ware, but good stuff you realy need. (see at icons at the right bottom) Some I realy need 1. Adaptec Create CD (for my CD-burner programm) 2. Powerstrip (tunes graphic-chip and screen performance) 3. Kaperski Anti Virus (realy good and fast updates) 4. MBM5 Motherboard watcher. Tells me heat of CPU and chips) alarms me if necessary 5. 0190ALARM; protects me from dialers 6. ISDN watch. Is good for controlling your telephone-bill and internet performance At the left! 1. Hah, do you see I got Game-spy next to 'All Seeing Eye'. I use both. 2. BINGOOO, is a search-engine, but realy sucks big time 3. Paint studio Lite: great free program to edit images and create screenshots I am waiting to see yours. Hope I can learn about new good applications! Â

What does "fia" actually stand for?

Bullshit! It has nothing to do with the civillian movement. It is purely about the car! It could only mean: Fabricated in Asia or Fixed in Austin Free imprisoned Arafat

Best late night talk show host is..

We can only see conan and lenno here! I like to watch lenno here, I like his 'calm' way of talking. But unfortunately there is a lot of gossip in the show about people we cant know (in europe). So if you dont know these people and their stories, you can realy enjoy the yokes. But still, Lenno is great and and many night-shows from all over the world copy from him (in Germany too) Â

    I'm leaving

Ah, they wont leave, they just prepare the great come-back. They just lack a little attention right now. They will remain silent and one day (remember Depeche Mode... and aaaahhh forgot!. It is a worthful marketing tool. I know that Nordin cant stay away from a good discussion. I call that civil courage (dont know about you guys). BTW I just made my own special pizza. From the scratch of course. I made the dough. I got some fresh swiss gruyere cheese, I prepare a good tomato coulis and so on. Hah, and you people that dont know how to cook you get the terrible deep-frozen reheat pizza or the sponge-like from the take-way. And I can impress girls with my cooking skills (even though girls cant cook at all nowadays). You loose I win. Good to be back!

Cops and donuts, cops and donuts

Hah, in every country the police has one mayor prefered food-item. In Germany, if you look for a cop, dont call them, just search for a nearby shop where you can get Curry-sausages (and beer without alc) Why the hell is it called donut anyway. Why not something like dough-nut or so?

    Check out this sweet website.

Yeah, but this world-fact book is rubbish. Its information is old (cause the new is of course top top top top CIA top secret, war against terrorism and stuff) and mostly not put in corelation (e.g infant mortality rate is measure differently in several countries). I have even been asked not use it as a source for any 'paper' cause it is not considered as a trustworthy source of information. Strange, since the information given is not very deep anyway. But did you know that: the US pay 0.1 % (this is the new figure) of their GDP to support underdeveloped countries. Wow, amazing.....

    Fresh new topic

I just graduated, got some professional experience though. Probably gonna apply for a position in the Consulting or Real-Estate sector related to Hospitality Management. Hopefully gonna find something in Asia. Jones Lang Lasalle or somethin.. (I always dreamed to create something like a small BBC or Euronews, but smaller and more innovative. But screw your dreams they never come true.!!!!

And unlike in the Olympics, the seconds doesnt get a silver-medal. Cheer when you got that beautiful thing in your hand, not now!!! But lets wait and see, hope this thread survives until the finals BTW I didnt like it either that the 'neat picture' thread was deleted! I didnt find anything extremely offending besides .... aaah who cares..?

Get sued for saying a company sucks online ?

I heard Bill Gates is married. Now that is strange. I dont want to sound tooooooo macho-man, but if I would have that financial background, I probably wouldnt marry. There are too many beautiful women out there!!! Â And from the women perspective: why doesnt she get divorced. She would be the richest women on earth (after the queen of course). And she could develop the female version of Microsoft. Something like Micro-extra-soft or something, where 'delete' is called 'Tipex' instead (any further proposals?). All Billionaires divorce, why dont they? They probably learned to know each other in the 'HE is looking for HER' contact-section of the 'Bits and Bytes' magazines. shall I call my lawyer for saying that?

The longest word in recorded human history is...

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Oligo @ Mar. 20 2002,14:24)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">But this supposedly longest word is constructed as follows: We have a different compounds (amino acids) that are called serine, alanine, arginine, threonine. If you have a compound which has alanine and serine linked together it is named alanylserine. A compound having arginine, alanine and threonine connected would be arginylalanylthreonine. And so forth. So there. Â <span id='postcolor'> But that is of course rubbish to list a genetical code (DNS) in Amino-acids, the logical way of course is the old code of Nukleotids (U,C,A,G) like we learned it at school. Of course to describe the code of a protein you could list up the amino-acids, but then again you could simply call the protein by its name. It would be like calling a 'library': "take-the-first-left-drive straight-on,-after-the-bridge-turn-left,-ignore-the-first traffic-light-then-at-the-Hotel-Plaza-turn-right-again,-take the-first-cross-road-and-turn-right...... Or like calling a house: "put-brick-put-mortar,-then-put-brick-then-put-mortar-again-put-brick-put-mortar,-the n-put-brick-then-put-mortar-again-put-brick-put-mortar,-then-put-brick-then-put-mortar-aga in-put-brick-put-mortar,-then-put-brick-then-put-mortar-again-put-brick-put-mortar,-then-p ut-brick-then-put-mortar-again-put-brick-put-mortar,-then-put-brick-then-put-mortar-again- put-brick-put-mortar,-then-put-brick-then-put-mortar-again-put-brick-put-mortar,-then-put- brick-then-put-mortar-again-put-brick-put-mortar,-then-put-brick-then-put-mortar-again-... .............

    New un resolution

It sounds very pragmatic, maybe too pragmatic to discuss the issue of civillian casualties with: "well it doesnt go without, that is unrealistic..." In every ordinary governmental institution employees need to justufiy their deeds. That is true for example for the police which has to write daily reports, such as where and why they felt they had to interfere and why their level of agression was justified. I have heard of no case where an Israeli soldier had to justify for a deadly shot. For me this just doesnt harmonise with my perception of Israel being a sophisticated country. Furthermore there are other things that I just dont understand. Why is the only proper road to Ramala blocked for jewish settlers only! However as far as I know is this road emtpy whereas palestinian civilians need to walk on a pretty dusty track and are constantly kept waiting at Check-points. The idea of two different identities living on the same spot with different rights is basically nothing else than Apartheid. Many measures that Israel has taken in the past were justified, but others werent. And this makes people assume that there is more than just the "we only react" behaviour. However I am happy that for the first time is history the US had to go with the UN opinion and tolerate the idea of Palestine becoming a independant State. I hope the Israeli politicians can live with it (after all dont we say: "the smarter person in a conflict gives in") but I am sure this is the only way out..... bla bla bla ...so be it! BTW: I have the impression that people in Israel do indeed have very independant and sophisticated opinion on the conflict. And many of those interviewed do sound much smarted than most of the politicans from both sides

    I ate a hamster once

Hamsters cannot realy taste, it will be like eating a little bird. Basically impossible! How do you want to seperate the meat from the bones. That is why animals such as the owl, that eats little hamsters can swallow the whole animal, digest it, and later on spit out the bones. I havent tried that yet but I guess it wont work (mmh maybe I should try it with a whole chicken?)

    Where are you from?

Oh we had someone from South America here in the Offtopic-district once. But his overwhelming Super-Ego made him loose more sympathy that first day than he could have ever gained back. So he disapeared. But that was about the only one I guess. The people in South America are probably more pragmatic than Europeans and N.Americans. If they got the money to buy a computer, they dont waste it by playing games or hanging around in a forum,no, they use it to feed their families (e.g by selling drugs online and printing fake IDs or something..) BTW, where is L24A, he hasnt been here for a while!

    Dear forum members!

FORUM BOARD OFFICIAL MESSAGE Dear Forum members, Due to the ever increasing amount of spamming, insultive language, national bashing and information on warez to be found on our forum, we have decided to counteract with a few measures (cause we are no longer willing to accept this trend and fear to be pushed into illegality). From today on (March 12th) you will no longer be able to log on without the OFP-forum passport. The ones of you who send us their pictures and personal information have probably already received their new piece of identification. The ones who havent, well you guys will be shut out of this forum untill we get your pictures. (so far we got about 45 passports ready) To log on in the future you need to become member of an official passport-image-station (we propose sony) where you can upload your passport (cause we need to check it when logging in). Logging in from now on will be a daily duty for all of you. Bellow you see the Flashpoint passport of Albert Schweitzer (of course each nationality has its own design). He agreed that we show his passport here, under the condition that noone makes fun of the haircut he had 4 years ago (on the picture)! If you have any questions please contact the moderator in charge: Placebo Yours sincerely, The Board of Forum Moderators
