Here you see tits on TV at 2pm and in the US you see flying bloody corpuses. I prefer tits (and still think: make love not war, peace brother!. OFP will not be banned in Germany cause in this game brutality is not used to fake the reality of war and to feed blood-voyeurs.

sorry, yes indeed I was wrong. I meant cluster-bombs, I was just slightly confused because I had just read an article about bombs used in Afghanistan. Of course is the Daisy Cutter a gazoline bomb! My reference to the danger of unexploded US cluster-bombs in Afghanistan could be the following:Cluster bombs kill children (initially I read it in the Times but I couldnt find it nomore, but here you find a reference to this article I read, (not the best source) BTW here you find a tiny flash animation that explains how a Daisy Cutter works! Daisy Cutter Flash Animation And I got more for you! Possible future targets for the US Just surf around a little there, It is not the most sophisticated Site but good to get an overview

Fallen Paladin, this thread is not realy a useful thing. Only germans can sign it! It is german law and only germans are legal members of the state and can enjoy the right to sign/revolt against a law. Aehmmm, I think Wolfenstein now got banned as well In germany (corresponding to gamestar). In the game we didnt shoot nazis cause there were none. All symbols were taken away and substituted by ordinary Wehrmacht symbols. I dont see the problem with banning CS, we gonna get Counterstrike Condition Zero soon anyway. And in the meantime you can play Global Operations or Ghost Recon Â

They don't think it is cool that you have turned those areas into mini-Afganistans. So yes you do put mines all over the world.<span id='postcolor'> Well,USA is more careful then most countries with mines. Most of the problems come with mines that are wooden,or someone just goes around their country places the mines around. Bio weapons are dangerous.Someone can put something in city water system,or some other high traffic area.Soo it will spread quick that it's uncontrolable. That means alot of people die.It probably took us a nuclear blast to learn us how bad nukes are.<span id='postcolor'> Right now, the remainders of the Daisy Cutters appears to become more dangerous to children in Afghanistan than ordinary mines. Not all shells did explode and children like to collect those. There already have been several cases when of accidents. If a war is clean or not does not show once the enemy is dead but 10 years later. There is absolutely no reason why the US didnt sign the Ottawa treaty against (only against) personal land-mines. Can you give me one? Things that are never realy discussed in the average US press. Or people dont care about. Now of course if you only know about the Iraq and war against terrorism then it becomes the 'most urgent problem'

No, I got that yoke. And damm I couldnt prevent myself from smiling. But I just thought I need to make a comment here. It is just funny to see how such a strong economical nation (and probably the only asian one that has never been colonialised) gets generalised. I hope they gonna stricten their laws so they can get rid of this image! (BTW with (hint) I meant that the US-Navy regularily stops in Thailand and then you got thousands of horny soldiers on the mainland that think they can harass any women they see. It is not always funny to see those guys with their limited knowledge of foreign cultures wandering around in the town. Like buffaloes.

    National pride

what can I do, it is in my blood ! The question should be: "can national pride be helpful in any way!" I say not often but sometimes. The french for example, due to extensive national pride, have implemented laws to protect and foster their unique culture. This is done for music, art a.s.o. Actually a god idea. I wish Germany would be more like that!

All I wanted to say..my message was... the point that I was hinting at... The day has 24 hours and humans have only a limited capability to care and read about global issues. Our newspapers screen for us what they consider to be important. But unfortunately I think that our focus is sometimes on little issues (which directly influence us). I think that there worse problems in this world (than Saddam) that the world has to know and learn to care about! Unfortunately I see that in some countries people focus on a very limited of issues they care about! When has Bush last talked about Africa, in fact he has probably never been there. Of course Iraq is a topic that has to be dealt with. But right now the only thing he talks about is "war against terrorism"! Since he is very important representative of the "rich world" people that doesnt talk about feel forgotten. And so it is. Did you know that the US refused to sign the treaty against land-mines (now that is not bashing). Did you know that the US provides only 0.2% of its GDP for support of underdeveloped countries. Now well I know this doesnt belong here into this thread. But I think we should not talk about IRAQ as the most urgent and important issue in this world. Give this president the chance to prove his competencies elsewhere, cause so far this country seems to be miles behind...they always got soemthing better to do!

oh no, not again!!! buhuuuuu! Right now there are more fundamentalist terorists to be found in Somalia (especially Al Quaida camps) than in Iraq. . Why does the US not interfer there first? Of course there are about a 1000 reasonable answers for this question, but it often appears that the pentagon first decides on a target and then finds sociable arguments for it! Mmmmmh, by the way, there are a 100´000 people starving to death per day (and a child below 10 years every 3 seconds) corresponding to the Red Cross. Now seriously, who gives a .... about terrorism. It is a little propaganda war. Terrorism has become a fashion word! With this term You can beautifuly hide and generalise world misery! Afghanistan now gets a 100 times more financial support than the Sudan, where life is propably a hundred times more miserable. What is gonna come after Iraq. Poor Americans, who is gonna be your enemy then? Somalia...? Fair enough and then? Ahhh China, North Corea ahhhh thanks god there is enough to do for you in this century! Long live Mr. Winchester  and screw damm coward whimpy humanitarian organisation, they are all gay!

Iraq is insignificant. Read here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,680917,00.html<span id='postcolor'> If you read an article read it properly. This is not about oil-production in general but contribution to the total OPEC-sale. Well but IRAQ is pretty limited in terms of sales, but not in terms of potential production. So Iraq right now is a weak contributor, and definetly not comparable to Saudi Arabia, but it has potential to increase production. Actually you could double Iraqa production my simply reducing the recovery factor (term for wastage in the primary industrial sector. E.g. a farmer who wastes land cause he doesnt use it efficiently) Saudi Arabia supplies around 12% of the western-world demand. If you want the figures ( in german ) go here see page 2 for total oil production per country (OPEC) Germany gets most of its oil-supplies from Russia, but the US, well I dont know, but maybe? The US of course also produces oil (we remember Texas). Those entrepreneurs (Texans) would suffer terribly if the Iraq would start selling the black gold again. Then the price of oil could go down from 25$ to 20$ per barrel. Then they could basically close down their oil-fields, inefficient & too expensive. So the US has also a clear advantage of preventing the Iraq to enter the market. But who knows...

We are not the only forum in Space out there Of course, I wanted to know if our forum sucks and if the people are all stupid (as I think  ). So I went to google and searched for Israel+palestine+forum where I found many links to read. It is astonishing how much comments resemble each other. And I am somewhat disapointed the way discussion end. There are always the same strategies involved which show that people have no real authentic defense. Example 1: (from Isrealforum.com ) Can you imagine if the European Jewry would’ve had banded together and fought back hard after Crystal Night? Instead they were good little boys and girls keeping a low profile hoping that Herr Hitler wouldn’t notice them. The devil could have been destroyed before he grew into an enormous monster. Nice example and found in basically ever forum. But what has it to do with the Israel conflict? Besides it is a pretty tasteless and disgusting accusal saying that Jews died in concentration-camps because they did not revolt. Conclusion: here you see the: "look back in (Nazi-)history which shows we are doing the right thing!" But history doesnt hold any comparable example, sorry! You must speak about now! Tough eh? Example 2: We just need a couple more minor terror attacks to happen in the US to refresh peoples memory... Well this is the typical 'they hurt you too' argument with the 'we are in the same position and fighting for the same goal' message. Again, those two are not comparable. Why? well you can easily sort that out yourself! Example 3: They certainly are putting stories on without any facts. Well, this is a legal and authentic point. But often seem like the last way out. But it is an exit to nowhere, cause now you have no legal base to counterargue! Dump move.. Example 4: I understand that you're not Jewish or Arab, but what you're saying here is nothing but repeating typical Arab or neo-Nazi lies that have nothing to do reality.... ..The fact that there is criticism of the Israeli war on terrorism, is nothing but pure hypocrisy and a stamp of approval for Arab slaughter of Jews.... Well, this is usually specifically addressed to me! But believe me buddy. A German does no longer hides in shame and shuts up if he hears the word Nazi. I am young and emancipated (just like modern women). Example 5 The world watches the streets of Israel full of Israeli blood, injured children being rushed into ambulances, restaurants, buses, hotels demolished, full of innocent Israelis' body parts, and still the world excuses it and defends the Palestinians' "rights" to slaughter their Israeli victims. Children often say that: " But mom, Johny started...!" Or in modern terms: you are only looking at their losses not at ours. Damm, I hate that argument: whenever you turn on BBC and hear a representative from any of the two States you hear it, wanna bet? Best answer would be: "well lets talk about their suffering for 15 minutes then about yours!" Now the guy shuts up....hey man I wanted you to talk! Example 6 I would like to see how long the Palestinians would be around if they were bombing cafes and Discos in Paris, London or Rome on a daily basis. . Well yeah, you are right! I remember well when spain was occupying and bombarding the Basque country with tanks and choppers to smoke out ETA terrorists! Example 7 Here are some examples of what happens in response to terrorism in other countries: 1. Muslim Chechnian rebels bomb a Moscow mall. Within 24 hours the Russians dynamite 7 blocks of apartment buildings where the terrorists' families live in Chechnya, and then bomb hundreds of Islamic militants. From that time on, there have been no further terrorist attacks in Russia. Urrghhh, do I need to say anything? I think we should nuke Australia, they got a rabbit-disease!.. mmmhh Example 8: I believe that if 10 - 15% of Muslims think the WTC attack was moral, then we must figure there are at least 100 - 150 million Muslims who are for destroying Israel and wiping us out. Where the hell...did you get those figures from. But again, nice reference to big brother USA. Example 9: "Did you ever wonder *why* everyone hates the Jews?," justifying a thousands-of-years history of persecution, that includes the Holocaust. how could you justify that? oh yeah, because you hate(are jealous of)the Jewish people and their religion and culture. Oh, this is a master-piece of blonde argument. am I jealous? wait, you say thousands of years history of persecution. And then you say I am just jealous?? how the hell....? (totaly confused) Anyway, I could show you millions of those repeating 'arguments' and everytime I hear them I stop the discussion. 'Thread closed!' cause this is no basis for talks! I am not surprised to two countries never approach each other! Nice vocabulary doesnt help if that is your style of talking! ( am I gonna hear the "but you..." argument now?")

    High school experiences...

Highschool? We dont have that here! Anyway I know some very ugly stories from my last years in school. One day there was the girlfriend of a friend of mine coming to our boarding school to visit him. She asked me where she could find him and I told her that he probably in the canteen (which he wasnt, he was on the tennis-court). My friends and me used that time to search through all the rooms on our floor and collect all that beautiful Penthouse and Playboy magazines (you find millions of them in a good old private Jesuit boarding school). We ripped out the pictures and posters and glewed them on all the walls in his rooms. Afterwards it realy looked like the room of a desperate wanker and I couldnt stop laughing while doing my work. Finally I went downstairs where I found the girl sitting on a chair. I told her, that her boyfriend would be on the tennis-court and come in about 10 minutes. And of course I proposed to her: "why dont you wait in his room during the meantime"! I think she took it with a sense of humor but he didnt talk to us for a week!

I guess your teacher never liked you analysing Shakespeare, cause he was afraid you state one of those nice pictures in class. I dont like how some people abuse the status of a journalist. Here in Germany (switzerland, holland, Denmark wherever). A journalist still feels somehow comitted to his profession. A journalist understand his duty similar to that of a judge: the obligation not abuse ones power. But like everything that contains great potential of power it attracts the wrong people. It is ashame how journalism is abused as a propaganda weapon. I therefore think that it is very important that our children get a good deep education, especially in literature, where you learn to analyse rethorical devices and the abusive power of words. And of course a good general knowledge so they are able to filter information and judge themselves. I think that especially in the Arab world (not refering to Israel or Palestine) many people are somewhat closed-minded. ( am I ready to be a good family-father or what?? )
