Actually I didnt want to contribute here, but it is kind of disgusting how cold you talk about surgical wounds and head shots, well, typical soldiers! I think I keep out of this thread!

What the heck? We need people like you, I mean the real devils advocats! What would this forum be if we would only have highly sociable people like Longinius and Denoir! And by the Way, the bible is not always the best book to read you know, cause it contains a lot of silly chapters too. If you want to read really really smart stuff than approach Homer and read Ilias and Odysee. This book is quite a bit older than the bible and ten times smarter! (and not so fundamentalistic)

on that picture that was Lilienthal, one of the first morons to try to fly like a bird! Â ) I had other pictures posted before, there was a sequence of a US-machine gunner being hit by a sharp-shooter straight into the head. But that was silly of course and I was risking getting banned (for a good reason) so I posted a yoke instead! But if you want to know about the real german snipers, then I have to tell you about the horse-sharp-shooter division. They were trained by horse specialised circus-clowns as well a sniper schools!

Also, lets not forget that Zaitsev was amongst the first real snipers of the sowjet army! Stalingrad was the first real target where the german army was facing strong opponents and a command: "hold at any cost" and therefore forced into house to house combat, a perfect scenario for potential sniper activities. But before Stalin sent the fresh ands well equipped supplies from the East of the USSR e.g. such units as snipers were simply overrun by Blitzkrieg machinery. So no reason to supply counter-units against sharpshooters to the front. And it was the first time where the germans were in a defensive position, so defensive that they had to reemploy their flanks with italian and romanian division (of course this is where the flanks later on broke during operation Uranus ). Once the germans were trapped inside Stalingrad it was all over. Out of 200'000 soldiers 97000 were taken prisoner but only 5000 returned to germany a few years later ( a relative of mine was one of them ) (Offtopic: do you know the battle of Kursk; 6000 tanks against each other, largest tank battle ever in history)

Grrrr! I know that there is supposingly lots of information on snipers and so called sniper schools. But I watched a long documentory about the sillyness of "enemies at the gates" and that a european stage director should be ashamed of having made such a dump film. And there was a german professor who stated that at that time there were no such units as trained snipers on the german side. If you think about it once again you will logically come to the conclusion that a sniper is no support for a "Blitzkrieg" strategy but for a WWI "Stellungskrieg", a rigid war! And this is what Hitler wanted to prevent at any cost. So why should there have been a sniper school before 1944? Scout, this is not a reference but a forum contribution and there is as much sceptical opinions as there are believers. Â There is no such thing as a relying source of information on Zaitsev vs Koenig. Or maybe there is but it is hiding on in a very dark corner of this forum!

Sorry, just changed my mind anyway, but you were quicker! I thought a warning of what is to be seen on the picture would be enough, but you are probably correct, it isnt. Wont happen again!

May I just add something to some previous posts? First of all I dont think that a more "agressive" treatment of imigrants is the proper strategy since I dont think this would stop people from taking the risk. They allready risk their lifes when trying to cross the border through the desert in order to reach the "promise land". Secondly are illegal imigrants doing illegal stuff but they are not criminals. So why treating them as such? (stealing food in order not to starve to death is illegal but not a criminal act! The border patrol may be underfunded and have a tiny workforce but how the hell do you want to guard such a huge border? Do you want to know how much a Berlin Wall construction costs! This would turn out to be more expensive than your Missile-defense system! The British police officers have only one problem, their hat! Whenever they run they need one hand to hold it so it doesnt fall down. This looks quite funny you know when you got to chase a criminal, and without a gun such a chase happens to be more frequently Â

no island has ever resisted a german-tourist invasion! Too many, too heavy, too demanding, too stingy, too much money involved.... You defense-lines will fall. Every july millions of tourists attack with consistent supply of fresh recruits that substitute those that leave. No chance. The royal troops cant beat the facts! they even overrun your well organised colonial troops and the experienced Generals.

And in sunny areas you especially like to rent motor-cycles or cars. It seems obligatory to old colonial (not in a bad sense) english/brits to check out the terrain.

I am pretty much disgusted by all of them, unfortunately noone comes to my mind now.

If someone surprises me in this hiding-place (on a new map) with a head-shot, then it must be a damm cheater!

African tourists are very very nice indeed. (except the white decadence from South Africa). Most of them are very careful in order not to be too noisy, too complicated or too much of a stranger. And they usually help you with a smile and tolerance! 1A Russian tourists are the worst motherfuckers in the world! (I speak about the 5star segment here). They think they are the kings of the world and just because they are rich they want you to look up to them like a Albert Einstein. But their brain is tiny, their education terrible, they have no manners and bad taste and their wifes dress like whores. It is no question where their money comes from! So most of them still insist in paying a junior Suite for 800$ per day in cash. So silly! And all this happens while many in this country are still so poor! I know it is not representative but those are the russians you get if a room costs 450$ a night minimum. French have a very good knowledge of what they can expect and especially about Restauration. Dont tell them bullshit if you dont know what you are talking about. But they still got this colonial weakness that they dont understand that people smile at them for money and not admiration. Germans are so and so! The  good thing is that they change 100% once they are on holiday. So you can actually meet decent ones. But at home they all are terrible pessimists  The scandinavians are nice people with a good taste and sensitivity on how to behave and where to stay away from. They dress well and have the capability to find the best spots of the island in just a few days ( without ruining it). Only one little disadvantage. ALCOHOL, if they drink they get the worst of all! Uncontrollable and agressive. Americans are generally funny and happy people. They rarely criticise and are willing to listen if there are any complications. But This Money-complex sucks. If they are furious they try to threaten you with money, if they try to impress you they tell you about their money, if want to be entertained they think they need money... always money. Can be somewhat hurtful if you feel the other person thinks you are nice just because of money. There was a convention once in the resort in Asia where I worked. They needed brochures cause theirs had important errors. So I spend an afternoon to develope a brochure with MS-publisher for them. I told them that it was fun to do it and fun to help them and if they like it. They liked it and so I organised a printing shop a.s.o. And in the end the guy took the brochures out of my hand and handed me over some money without looking at me or thanking me! I was damn furious about that but I think I said something like: "no thanks sir, a helping hand doesnt cost anything outside US". He wasnt anoyed or something like that about my rude comment, in contrast, he was ashame and apologised for it. I remember times when we challenged each other by playing "all around the world" basketball and soccer against the garage. I guess those times are over. Nowadays the younger ones decide an alpha-creature by gaming performance. That is pretty whimpy!
