They have referendums on all possible micro-decisions. This practically disables the politicians to make any long term decisions. Also, their political system is also to blame for the vast amount of really underdeveloped and poor parts in the country.<span id='postcolor'> This is very true. For every damn lame decision of the Canton and even your silly city-district makes you vote. Since decades this highly conservative system hinders politicians to take nationwide actions. Switzerland has indeed pretty poor Cantons (counties), and that is also the fault of the politics. On the other hand because everything is so decentralised the cities and villages can decide themselves what is best for them. Switzerland is the country wih the highest amount of imigrants in entire europe but the income per capita still is 1/3 higher than europes average, criminality rates are realy low as well. The cities know best how to deal with their problems. But lets not forget, that what we consider as a lame conservative political system is what makes switzerland so strong => zero currency fluctuations! -
Are there AMD motherboards that support RIMM RAM (Rambus)? Cause if yes I would actually change away from Intel!

I can tell you what is happening right now in Germany. Due to the new 2.8 all other prices will drop heavily till the end of this month. Then we will probably have the following: P4 2.8 520.- Euro p4 2.66 410.- p4 2.6 410.- p4 2.53 250.- p4 2.4 200.- SO wait before you decide to upgrade. And it is most likely that we will reach 3.0 before christmas

There are quite a lot of parties in the US What, you even got a NAZI party? lol Basically the same variety as here! But we dont have a strong communistic party in Germany, maybe this is due to the experience with the eastern regime. -
WOW! FUBAR, that face looks so incredible real! Did every anyone try to do it with his own face?

I got a cool job offer from Asia so on upcoming sunday I can vote whatever I want. It wont affect me! Yeah well maybe it will affect my parents, my friends and of course our reputation abroad. But if the bad candidate is elected then consequently 40% of the Germans must be morons so the reputation would be justified. So now I can choose between German Car-driver party Party of christians loyal to the bible Germany beer-consumer union Party of the NOT-voters REPUBPLICANS (founded by a former SS officer) Schill Partly ( the head of the party is a judge who wants to stricten punishments by 50000%! -
Bullshit, Denoir is just trying to create the alphabet, he started by showing us the G like Gash

I thinkt the library of Alexandria was much more of a loss! -
Right now I live right next to you! Aachen. Anyway, no it is worth nothing. The stuff is rotten and you find tons of originals in best condition still in shops and get it for realy cheap. And who really wants that stuff in Germany?

THIS IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT OFP: If you see the enemy first and shoot him he will be dead. In aany other game the guy will eat a few of your bullets, do the bunny-jump, turn around and strike you down with his super-long-range-shotgun. So damn ridiculous.

Dont tell me those werent the first ones that came to your mid (when this guy was seeing stars you could finish him up! and of course Bruce Lee with the fat green Masters -
I will get back to topic. Mines from WWII are rare, but where I was born you could still find grenades and heavy bombs in forests and cities. Even nowadays they now and then block districts to to get rid of bombs they found. The following story you will probably not believe me but when I was 7 we often used to make fire in the forrest behind our house. (no, not so dangerous here as you think). My older brothers sent me out to find stuff to throw into it. I returned with an old WWII grenade! Besides that, I still know where exactly to dig in our forest to find helmets and machinegun belts and stuff like that from WWII. Also, the forrest is still ful of bunkers and old fundaments of FLAKS (AA) and PAKS (AT)!

My first trip to OFP-country as a civillian tourist was dedicated to the actual scene where Victor Troska the head of the Resistance army was shot by Gubas troops and died. Â The local government has built a memorial on that spot. It sais "Victor Troska, In Memoriam!" BTW: Guess who is dating "Jane" now? Do you know any other locations that are worth a trip or where you have been already, show us your OFP holiday pictures! Â

Such a long time now I am trying to get good "playable" campaigns for OFP. Unfortunately all I get is Resistance-uncompatible ones, or I get some that only work as Missions only or those that dont work at all. Could someone please help me finding out the essentials to make a campaign working or those that are worth downloading!

Have you ever seen a humorous german? But back to the topic. There are soooo many cool maps out there at the moment (and realy realy cool ones to come; see Operation Flashpoint CZ). You should give us a few screenshots

Denoir, do you think it is possible to create a loop-ramp? That would be awesome to drive a loop while a jet flies through it! I guess I am getting childish now!
-
no, that spiderman is pretty gay!  But maybe I can make a spiderman outfit. Right now I trying out a new stunt map. It is incredible for jumps. No ramps required, but very very tought to get consistent performance!  THAT IS AN ÜBERRAMP

That hopefully will attract the attention of the BMP

Albert Schweitzer replied to zayfod's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Zayfod @ Sep. 14 2002,09:54)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Hi guys, working on a mission where a single ai chopper needs to follow a cyclic route of waypoints at high altitude of 2000, when a player dies he/ she respawns in the choppa and can re-enter the game by HALO dropping outta the choppa. Ofcourse he/she will need to wait till the choppa has flown over where it is they wanted to land. So I have ai choppa but its so hi up it cant follow the waypoints--it gets lost. Any ideas? Perhaps a script? Altering visibiltiy makes no difference cause pilot is up so high he cant see squat. Perhaps it could be done with markers but Im new to editing and cant find anything pertaining to this on the forum. regards Zay <span id='postcolor'> That is a good idea, reminds me of GLobal operations! -
I know I should send you a private message and I also know that this belongs into the BW-mod Mod-forum but since there are other people that often ask that question I tell you how to install the BW-MOD run the *.exe! first screen press "ja" second screen press "durchsuchen" and find your OFP folder. (e.g. c:/program files/codemasters/operation flashpoint/ ) then press weiter then it installs and informs you that instalation process has been finished, press Ok (I know you are not stupid but I gotta stick to that step by step approach). Then it will open the readme file. Close it! Now if you run OFP it should work. Besides soldiers, tank, chopper and car you get funny singleplayer missions

Hopefully!

Underperformance despite of a good computer
Albert Schweitzer replied to Guba's topic in TROUBLESHOOTING
I get 2900 points with my shitty P4 1.3 and Radeon Vivo 64Mb DDR. My strange observations were the following: Do a Windows check with scandisk and performance acceleration. strangely enough it realy helps After playing a few times the game gets much faster. Without changing anything I had only 5fps the first time I watched the Resistance intro, now I am at around 25 or so! View distance above 3000 is useless (except in plane missions) 32Bit is better Landscape on "high" looks stupid! vehicule shadows off doesnt really change the reality level frame rate of 9 is fine, anything better is cosmetics visual quality is like frame rate ! -
Ah, you are implying it was Avon herself!

Yes, we do use it! At least in my boarding school in Ireland they always used it! on the map this mountain doesnt have a name and there was no flag on top of it, so I may assume I was the first one to reach it. Therefore I take the liberty to name this mountain: "Mount Rudi Völler"
