make a car to drive straight
Albert Schweitzer replied to Albert Schweitzer's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Yes, the looping thing I tried but this rather looks like a lag than a driving car! Is there no other possibility that comes to your mind where I can simply disable AI and tell the car to drive forward! -
make a car to drive straight
Albert Schweitzer replied to Albert Schweitzer's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
yes, I understand, but it only keeps driving a couple of metres. I can use it to substitute the ramp, was that the point you were trying to make! -
Victor, i would appreciate if you could do some title's for me one day for a movie. Unfortunately no other software out there is capable to make them in the same quality as premiere. Of course I will finish the video before asking you for help so your effort wont be in vain.

lets say I have something like this And I want to make everything beyond 4 metres look very blurry, what would I have to do? putting the number of the focus higher, does it make it become more blurry or less? What are the MAX values here? I tried it but cant see any big differences!

thanks, However I heard that for the new Core2 CPUs with FSB1333 will need a new mainboard. I head something about a platine that is called Bearlake and that the news CPUs wont be supported by the 775 Socket we have today. But I am realy no specialist so it could all be nonesense I am saying here I ask this question because I want to know how much money I have to set aside for upgrading and when a purchase would make sense! Currently DFI Expert X2 4200 7900GTX 2GIG OCZ Ram bla bla bla -
I made this video more than two years ago so dont laugh! It was just a try to say goodbye to OFP (and it is rather boring so dont expect anything spectacular). I post it before it gets lost on my harddrive. Please dont be too strict with the numbers, I didnt check them in depth since this was only a trial version and I never found the time to realy research them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dIqajtIkTQ It looks nice in high res though!

Can someone do me a favour please What again are the new socket-standards for the upcoming processors? For AMD I think it is AM2+ And for Intel... what was the name? -
Sorry, I have to correct myself. I thought you had done something terribly stupid by merging all those three topics into just one forum!!! But the solution is good. I like it.

if you dont have a good video software then just record it twice, once for getting a good video (set acc 0.25 whatever) and then once for the audio (set acctime 1).

thanks, Let me try it out once again! Â -
nothing great? I love it! It is exactly what I wish to see more here!! Stories instead of silly slow motions shots one after the other. You are telling a story and that's great. I am currently doing a project which pretty much resembles yours. My advise to you is, if you would add tiny little bit of reverb to your voice it would undermine it. Honestly I love the idea you had and I wish more of that! Â Keep producing this stuff or I will travel to greece to slapp you!

to who this may concern!!!
Albert Schweitzer replied to --DST-- HIGHLANDER's topic in ARMA - MULTIPLAYER
Okay. I guess I should remain serious. My advise to you: -dont ever think about using terms such as "noobs" on this forum. The audience is rather mature and you will most probably ridicule yourself. - if you ever write a formal letter, be advised that it is "to whom it may concern" - if you have been kicked from a server, then it is probably more useful to contact the server administrator instead of sharing this issue with the whole world. I mean I am not accusing Walker or Balschoiw of misconduct just because my girlfriend was rude to me the day before. In other words "to whom it realy may concern"! - If you have been kicked from a server then dont be surprised, it happens. It is their server and they are free to do whatever they wish. If you are interested in CTF sessions then maybe you should build a group of people you play with, a clan entering a server usually increases trust that they are not cheating. sorry for sounding arrogant! -

New Mission Makers.
Albert Schweitzer replied to Op4 BuhBye's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
I agree, however I see a different thing being even more important. The topic of the thread should be precise and not something like "I need help with my mission". I recently try to learn scripting and therefore often use the search function. But searching only makes sense if I search for TOPIC TITLES instead of Titles and posts. Besides, the issue you are talking about is already somewhat covered in the first pinned thread above. -
proceed to next waypoint after switchmove
Albert Schweitzer replied to Albert Schweitzer's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Jep, works perfectly. I somehow knew this dostop would be the problem. Now he finishes his animation and then runs to the car! Perfecto -
proceed to next waypoint after switchmove
Albert Schweitzer posted a topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
I created a soldier and named him "max". I gave him a first waypoint to sit on a bench. That works perfectly with Obviously once he sits down he doesnt care about his next waypoint anymore. So I thought I add a trigger that tells him stop being so lazy after 10 seconds and to get up from his bench. I thought after this he would be able to walk again. Trigger He does the animation to get up from his bench but doesnt proceed to the next waypoint! He just stands still and basically tries to imply "screw you Albert, I wont move if you are too dump to script me properly"! What do I have to add to show this stupid soldier who is the owner of the game and who is the slave of my commands? -

I will try that! Albert Out! Alt+Tab -
proceed to next waypoint after switchmove
Albert Schweitzer replied to Albert Schweitzer's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
well it makes him stop the animation but still he doesnt want to run to the next waypoint! -
Hi INNOCENT&CLUELESS You have not seen Alberts videos yet  Kind Regards walker aaaaaaaaaaaaah you are putting me under pressure!!! It will still take so much time to finish all that!
-
Nice vid. Use WMV "Windows Media Audio/Video" Compression. WMV = Great Quality and the filesize becomes also a lot smaller than DivX "AVi" Compression. Cheers. Me personally, I love quicktime!
-
yes but paying a couple of billion euros just for a few titles would be a little crazy! Damn, I cant believe no other mainstream software offers better text animations than what Powerpoint is able to do!
-
Blanco, good action video! Some very odd sounds you are using there, but it looks entertaining! BTW: I repeat my question till I get an answer: Which software is able to create good animated film text-titles that I can put into the movie? Is Sony Vegas having some good animations for text?

Consider buying Vegas Movie Studio+DVD 6.0.. should be around 60€ and you won´t regret it. Or just download the trial and see if you like it. My latest movie was my first time using it, without having read any instructions or tutorials before. It´s really intutive once you´ve found all the buttons and functions. Other than that, you still could use the Windows Movie Maker. But the Version which comes with SP2 sucks imho. Oh I am using Magix, it is absolutely gorgeous for creating long movies! But it just sucks at making titles. But that is exactly what I need! What I am looking for is something you regularly find in ArmA Videos: A title that appears on the screen with something like a flaming or bolt effect! It doesnt realy matter what, I just dont want the typical powerpoint effects such as "title moving in from the right", "title moving in from the left" or if you are lucky even "title moving in from the top"! A title effect as in this video from trini scourgehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccdsr9XAoX8 would already do fine!

I am realy starting to get anoyed. Can anyone help me finding out how to make good movie titles. Which software did you use? Do I realy have to spend 800 Euro on an Adobe Product?
