Bombs kill at least 150 in bali tourist night spot
Albert Schweitzer replied to fraggit's topic in OFFTOPIC
One thing that should not be forgotten is: the tallest tree in the forrest may have the best exposure to sun but also to snow, storm and birdshit! The US has a little problem, it is the only superpower on this planet and therefore kind of helpless. There is no great partner america can hide behind. The action it takes are cannot be taken by anyone else, so the slogan "now or never" is the only option the US has. In the past this has been a tough job, but at least everyone else gave what they could give: "acknowledgement and appreciation and moral-justification for any action the US took. But with the growing emancipation of the ...especially european countries the US had to fight on three fronts: the media at home; the media oversees; and the actuall conflict. Now the big problem here is that the media in the US and in Europe want to hear two different/opposing messages, so whatever the US will proclaim it will find opponents within or outside the country. -
Some rude person called Julemanden just stole my "voice over Headset" virginity by posting the link to SHOOT1.6 I bet you all knew about it and behind my back you were making fun of naive Albert still typing the commands instead of using the headset. I hate you all, my the SNIPER FROM WASHINGTON get you when you return from the bakery in the morning! FOr all morons like me: get the silly programm that only Albert didnt know about

Yeah it is definetly some kind of cheating. I was too lazy to build a large ramp so I put three together high up in the sky. Put a car on them and took a chopper to get up there.

when I was young I used to have a little robot that was ready to understand around 11 commands and after a short learning process you could tell him what to do and the robot would do so. The same should work for OFP. When I saw this voice-setup of the OFP-menu I thought wow! cool! I can guide my squad with commands: e.g. I would say into the mircophone: "all, mount, disembark!" or only "all, disembark". THAT WOULD BE SO COOL, I never realy got why they delivere this microphone software with it?

You can negotiate and use diplomatic solutions with a stable government. To some degree, you can even use diplomacy with a dictator, providing they are willing to listen. But you can not negitiate with a fundamentalist extremist, who has had hatred for a specific people pumped into them since they were old enough to understand the language of their parents. The Cause of that hatred isn't America, or the Western worlds presence in other countries. The Cause of the hatred is the parents of these eight year olds, who are dressing up in suicide bomber's clothing and chanting "Death to America, Death to Isreal." Take for example Palestinian suicide bombers. Isreal has twice offered to let the UN organize a peaceful resolution. Once even offering up to 90% of the land (That's Isreali Land, not the Occupied West Bank and Gaza strip) back to the Arab countries that they took it from. Yet the offer was refused, and the suicide attacks continue. These terrorists have no logic, and no Morals. You can't negotiate with that. Ă‚ There is no negotiating with terror.<span id='postcolor'> <sarcasm>And almost 50 years of fighting terrorism has brought and end to it . </sarcasm><span id='postcolor'> And one thing is for sure. Terorism is like Resitance: Hidden and Dangerous! How do you want to use Force on something that is so unstructured. Reminds of someone in a porcelane shop trying to hit a fly. Before he gets that fly he will have ruined half of his shop. I think Terorism is like organised crime. And I think we should learn from the Italians, cause it took them several decades to understand the processes and finally beat down the Mafia, even though each and everyone could have been the next to die. -

This was a simple and funny yoke. And I think he isnt so off with that assumption. Many of the Veterans return home with serious emotional injuries. I think there is a long report on British Armed Forces that once served as UN soldiers in the Balkan war. Many of them were in pschological therapy for years (not stationary though ) and had indeed sincere problems to reinstall themselves into "ordinary" life. Now if you call those people just "black sheep" then you havent understood the "soft problem" of war: The emotional KIA's! Those arent just a few "bastards" but simply "out there for too long"! Now there are far better arguments to start a flame than that! </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Please copy-paste every comment into your word-pad before posting. Damn it Bernadotte, I wrote such a long response but at around 11 o'clock central european time OFP-was down and my comment went down the drain. I should always copy-paste the stupid comment into word pad before I start posting it. My message were clear: German companies such as Thyssen, Krupp; BMW, Siemens, IG Farben profited from forced-labour but had nothing to do with the construction of the camps. There are many sites on that out there. To become a guard of a camp you had to be SS or Kapo. There were several of poles to be found in those units (as can be seen on registration lists). Noone becomes SS if he isnt conform with the terrible ideologies. There were no bulldozers required. The entire village was shot in the neck if only one resistance fighter was found.

maybe those guys need some hollidays back home to see their wifes and kids! And I bet this assumption is the most realistic of all assumptions that can be made

Siemens and Krup did not build any of the installations for the concentration camps.... they were employing prison workers. The camps were build by locals (kind of surprising). And the only "item" produced for concentration camps was "cyoncali" made by Bayer. And no, it is also wrong to say they were competing for those jobs instead of fighting on the eastern front. Fact is they didnt even know what was going on on the easter front and noone had the chance to choose between the options. There were racist and sadist suckers in Poland as there were in Germany. If you dont believe that than you havent understood the nature of evil. Or simply look at the May 10, 1993, Time Magazine published that "many Poles served in Hitler's SS. However it is true that polish denounce many jews because were under life-threat themselves, but that can be excused. Ă‚ Also, dont forget how "related" the two nations were at that time, East prussia and Schlesien were regions with heavy cultural impact untill deep into Poland. Collaborateurs werent necessarily feeling themselves as polish but half-german. Those guards were simple collaborateurs, but at that time there were many reasons to collaborate, sympathy is only one of them but there are others just as powerful: anxiety, hunger... Resitance were shot immediately (and the entire village wiped out as a revenge). They were given no chance to choose their fate. Dead or collaborateur, that was the only option, no chance to influence your "career path". You are drawing a logical but historical incorrect image here. And Poland still nowadays has problems to rework their history (just like the Tscheck republic) but one day this has to be done otherwise those two countries will never get succeed in defeat their Neo-Nazi movements. I take pride in the fact that Germany's extreme right wing parties are by far the least powerful in entire europe. But I think we are realy getting off-topic here

isnt that a remodeled version of the chopper in the BW-Mod?

No, that is the Frankenstein addon 1.6

Yeah, but can you threaten someone to be a guard of prisoners?

I love it, this constant struggle to keep the reputation of the Heroes! Reminds of the fact that the US once sponsored Iraq (druing the Iran-war) even though they knew Iraq has no moral remources of using b-weapons. Now they are the threat of the world. The pictures constantly change. kind of opportunistic. Therefore I also say that it is not the fault of the soldiers but of the politicians. Of course some of them get anoyed! what the hell are they still doing there? Their search and investigations have been without any results for weeks. Everyday they have a hard time to decide whether a grandma that cooks bread for more than herself is a terorist supplying Al Quaida with resources. It was the same with Vietnam, people get frustrated if they dont cant cope with a situation that appears ridiculous.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (bn880 @ Oct. 09 2002,02:44)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Well so they run it, a city has some power you know. For instance, Jews freaked out that Poles killed some of them in WW2 (or the Poles would have been killed also), so they boycott Polish flights to New York (recently). Ă‚ Talk about war hungry people full of conflict in their blood. Ă‚ Bringing WW2 to NYC.<span id='postcolor'> Kind of naive.. Of course it was the polish that suffered in the concentration camps, no matter whether they were polish jews or polish orthodox or whatever, fact is they were poles. But fact is quite a lot of the concentration camp personell were polish, and not because they were forced too. Employing poles made it easier to keep the "real purpose" of the camps secret. Furthermore were quite a few poles ready to kill or denounce for just a few cigarettes in return. Of course the polish citizen were afraid and under constant risk of being shot, but noone was FORCED to work (as a guard) in a concentration camps. I think that is just a lame excuse, it doesnt need much of logic to understand that people suffered terribly in those camps and who else could have created such a horror than a bunch of sadists. But back to the topic

Man dies after 86 hours non-stop gaming
Albert Schweitzer replied to SKULLS_Viper's topic in OFFTOPIC
86 hours? Asians are weak, I can beat that, I will be back in a couple of days. If you dont hear anything from me anymore you know that I am the new owner of the record, maybe dead, but lucky. Maybe the autopsy can find out how long I stayed alive and playing. Mmmhh, but what game to choose? I havent touched Neverwinternights for a few weeks (got bored) maybe I download a few episodes and.... -
Will we ever be able to watch it here in lets say Germany? Trailer Looks kind of Hollywood to me!
-
Well BoxersShorts, I mean they look better but that is about it. I cant imagine walking with Boxers for more than 3 hours, they would start moving and ...well you know where they move, and I suppose after a few days of training that can realy start hurting. But in normal life I prefer Boxers too, all other stuff is for fags!

I looked on the pages you said and I see no fraggit there.??<span id='postcolor'> You didnt seriously look up those quotes did ya? But in order not to spam, we should refer to what the news just brought up, did you see that. Another totally inhumane deed by the superior israelis! Now that wont bring you any advantages gentlemen! Let me tell you that from a german perspective, we tried it out and it didnt work, maybe not all about your strategy is correct, dear Israelis! In total figures: this turned at least 23 pals into potential suicide bombers...and your answer then once again will be (after another suicide attack)... "the pals are a bunch of murderers". I lived a 1 and 1/2 years in Ireland and I can tell you that not all IRA*s were initally terorists...but...there is a point when your humanity collapses and you see no other solution than terorism. BTW in psychology this is called "stamp collection". I am waiting to get a "justifying" response to what we just saw in the news! Dont you Israelis dare to tell me they were all just "terorists"

Lol, I got a friend who actually parked on rail during an entire night. He was too drunk to drive so after 3 minutes he gave up, parked at the side and fell asleep right on that damn rail. But thanks god it was on a weekend and this was an industrial rail used by an industrial park.I dont know how often a train usually uses it but definetly once per day.

I think we might have to consider that what Bernadotte said on page 3 is opposing to what Denoir said on page 18, however relates to what Sniper said on page 23. Now in addition to Scouts statement on page 45 and bogos accuse of page 51 I think we found that RalphWiggums personal attacks on page 63 were unjustified. Maybe you should once again reread at what I said on page 79 or in brief on page 84 to find that bogo (page 93,97ff) was wrong by calling Badgerboys arguments from page 156 as "the most sincere of the entire thread". The opposite can easily be shown when looking at a similar post on page 201 and 234. Maybe we should not forget fraggit tries to remind us of all the time. His examples on page 2, 154 and 234 are funny but at the same time ironical examples of the truth. Maybe we should send a printout of this thread to Mr. Arafat and Mr. Sharon.

Wow! So there are people that are actually willing time and effort into looking a threads from first page on. I am impressed. During the last weeks I have hardly found any cool gadgets (addons) to fool around with and hardly one of those was worth a stunt! But I will keep searching to abuse the mission-editor!
