    In to the woods

Former germanic tribes believed that there is a ghost in every tree and every river and every whatever. I guess those people were much smarter in a sense than us Urban morons.

Yes I am trying to do some stunts, but there are tought ones: E.g with the mission editor uprade you get a "soccer ball" you can place it on the roof of some building, take an F-14 and try to hit it with a bullet. And then try to hit it so that it lands somewhere special, e.g. inside an LSD Oh, btw LSD, you can make an LSD drive 60, I took this strange transport ship and drive sideways into the LSD, then you are locked into it and push it up to full speed. Unfortunately it bounces on ramps. And BTW speed: Noone can beat the altitude of 9228 and top speed of 1018, I think you cant go higher and faster!

LONG LIVE THE SOCIAL PARTY, they desert our economy! what....I am getting offtopic.? Oh sorry..where were we before I got off track?

Actually god doesnt play a single role here because he doesnt make you stay alive, believe in him fine, but dont give me theological approaches for such a sincere problem. Did god strike down all Al quaida terorists? No, so he wont save the forrests! Do you know the expression: "I was here first"? and so were the forrests. Just because we humans are the strongest ones arround doesnt mean we have the greates right to stay and extinct others. You are arguing like a colonialist! As long as you are not capable to understand this theory and as long your christian believe did not teach you that then I think the "wodden" bench in your church was a tree's life which was wasted!

Tex, generally speaking you are right, but the rain forrest has such a thin layer of humus soil especially because those are very YOUNG forrests, far younger than any forrest e.g. in europe. But of course you are also right that they have a top-down approach rather the (like in europe) bottom up. Their nutritions come from the top. Their main nutrients are e.g. leaves falling down. That is why they have no roots diggin deep into the earth but they look like planks and and stay overground. I dont know what can save those rain forrests. They are owned by countries with zero-to-none business ethics, poertay and high corruption, actually the forrest couldnt have chosen a worse home. And as Tex said, those forrests are not anymore cut down solely for the woods but for silly farm land which is deserted much quicker than soil elsewhere because of the little humus and mono-cultures. Those countries themselves wont be able to handle the problem. And as long as not all of us are participating in the Kyoto treaty there is no way we can convince others to stay away from such luxuries resource for the purpose of the economy.

of course a spider is an insect, I guess to define an insect is not tough gentlemen! Insectum Insectus Insecare: to cut in! Those animals have clearly visually segmented bodyparts, why, because the have no backbones and no internal stablisiator but the bones are basically outside, the shells. So they have segmented bodyparts because their joints must be at the ouside (legs, head, corpus). But the chitin has one big problem: You have no nerves at the outside and you can only grow slowly.

Tovarish, as a German I have heard so many stories about the war and there has been little DukeNukem and Hollywood glorification in it. And I learned that Beta Endorphin can sometimes be stronger than Adrenaline. In contrast to adrenaline the Beta endorphin paralyses....lets not hope we get into this situation...but if you are realy fearing for your life in a battle than dont be surprised if you miss the first minutes because you cant move... I dont know how I would behave but I would be careful to promise beforehand that I will be a NBK (natural born killer). Cause the chance that you are not is quite a lot bigger.

most favourite: hyena, the only animal that the lion is realy afraid of. It represents the equilibrium of full power and total weakness. Its jaws are the strongest ones of all mamals. It can crack backbones with a single bite. But it has terribly weak legs in the back, which make them slow and hard to coordinate. But I love so many animals and there are so many I admire most hated: penguin, cause they look so sweet but have a realy ugly social behaviour, including killing their kids if they are anoying them.

Then we need a vehicule like the little trolleys they push trough those planes and it shoot little alcoholic drinks and is refuled by a "tea and coffee" support truck...and then we need a "allllllaaaaaaahhhhh suicide unit" that can hijack enemy planes even if they allready full of enemy units... and then we need ...and.....and also....and dont forget...

the safest place is the place that has no enemies such as the scandic nations, switzerland, Monacco (maybe the richness makes it attractive for terorism)

I would probably pee into my pants and think: hell this is going too fast...I need time...give me time....hell that noise confuses me...I cant think....what shall I do....only the best die young...so I...probably have the best chance to get out here alive....where is my gun....I shoot into the air..so at least everyone thinks I am fighting too...damn my gun..where did I leave my goddam gun...oh there it is ...no...the other way around...so where are they shooting from...I bet if I raise my head now the first bullet will..hit me... where is my chain of command..I need instructions...I need orientation....fuck that helmet..I cant see,..did they start or did we start...how many are there...got hell I hope that it remains only gunfire...

Did you notice that the forrests in every country are different, but any other scenery might be simillar. Put me into a train and let me look at the forrest I would be capable to tell ya where we are, or at least, that we are not in Germany. I dont know whether it is the smell, the color of the ground, or the way it is planted...but a german forrest is a german forrest and a swiss forrest is a swiss forest and ...

    Cpu or gpu?

7500 is a little weak. Especially since the upcoming games such as UT2003 and Doom3 will be counting more on the Graphic card than on the CPU.

Noone ever attacked the heart of the US. New York, the centre of international Banking, this is a town that rises the impression the nation cannot be hurt because of its power. There is no nation in the world where civillians have been so far away and protected from war as in the US. People start to believe they cannot be hurt (especially if someone tells them a Rocket-defense-system worth billion ensures security). It was a shoch to the US and shocks makes even intellectual people overreact. Believing people no longer deserve a trial is uncivilised and I dont believe the US is generally uncivilised, so they are very shocked. And terorism existed and still exists in a lot in europe. If you visisted the France during the last years you would have been surprised not to find a single garbage bin in the Metro. The Isreali embassy in Germany is protected by a tank, or do you remember the olympics in Munich where the entire israeli athletes were blown to dust by pals. Or have you heard of the RAF that killed many important industrialists in Germany. No, I just think we were not a shocked as you were about the fact that "we CAN be hurt"

Important announcement!!! Dear members of the community, the time has come that OFP is no longer taken as a silly afternoon amusement but a challenge for hardworking gentlemen. The stuntthread is no longer a place of anarchy but has become the centre of this rapidly growing SPORT. So before we face the new upgrade, after OFPR now OFPRS (OFPRstunts) we should start to structure and streamline our efforts. In the name of the AlbertSchweizer Stunt foundation I propose the following: Create stunts that we can coppy, give them a name (e.g. Denoir-rocket-flip Then create challenges e.g. "do the Harnu-plunge-jump then a Red-Oct-wheely over a truck and finally an AlbertSchweitzer-crash-all-dead" And finally! dont eat eggs with silver spoons, you ruin them and it tastes terrible! So be it!

The best program I know comes for free. It is called PAINT STUDIO LITE 1.2 and allows to improve quality and set file-size and much more. All you gotta do is press print while playing, then open clipboard and Ctrl+C it to PAINT STUDIO (but you probably know all that)

Damn, I am working on my shitty academical-paper from 8 in the morning till 9pm. I got time to post but no time to play. But I already have so many new cool stunts ín mind. The f-16 rocks! Anyhow there should also be a section for downloads, especially with stunt maps where people already prepared the waypoints and ramps and special effects, and a pinboard on which server and when people can meet for MP to do some stunts together. Anyway DOES ANYONE KNOW A PROGRAMM that can take screen-videos? I Guess that is gonna be tough with the RAM but still, it might work!

I basically agree with all you say. But one little detail I must insist on. There is just no way you can tell me that women rights is some sort of "western culture" that we force on them. You are taking the "safe the cultures" a bit too far. Saving a culture is important but which culture do you mean. The state of the Taliban doesnt really fullfill any criteria that is WORLDWIDE considered as a "culture", in fact it was an anti-culture since most components that make up a culture were forbidden: arts, music, sports (e.g they invented polo) and communication. Denoir, you might take the role of an advocat here, but I think the one of the devils advocat.

hell you are a pessimist person! What about this one: Al quaida has been weakend Afghans are allowed to listen to music again and women to work, learn and divorce The stadium in Kabul has no more executions on Sunday before the soccer match Afghanistan now gets 10times the amount of funds for development than the Sudan (the mother of misery). They now have german police cars But seriously Denoir, you have to take into consideration that Afghanistan once was a very progressive country with highly advanced social rules including emanicipation and religious science. In fact it was the Taliban who once hijacked the nation, especially since the Taliban moved in and were never actually originating from the area around Kabul. (dont ask me from where they actually stem, North or South, some cave, or directly from Allah). Whether the attack was justified or not remains in doubt. But it is also true that the Taliban were sheltering and supporting the Al Quaida and in an ordinary trial they would be considered as "guilty" too.
