simillar here Q9450 8800GTS SuperSuperClocked X38 DS4 4 Gig 1066 Ram Vista 64. my results are at around 4700. Nothing spectacular but I guess ArmA doesnt make use of my 4 cores.
-
how right you are. Is this any better?!
-
ORLY? Anyway, congrats to Spain and good luck to them in the final. lol, the way they played today they dont even need luck to outplay our moody german team.
-
Turkey showed the germans where the hammer is hanging  (sorry, a german saying). I am very very happy the turks in Germany now can feel proud of their team and so they do!!!
-
Come on ladies, there is no football on tonight and I will definetly join regularly again in the next weeks. Berry and me are waiting. I will also try to upload some screens again if this helps to foster participation
-
m000 m0000 to you too!  (These smilies didn't exist back in the days  ) I bet neither of you two remember this dirty spaniard though It's the first time i enter this forum in years, i certainly didn't expect to find anyone from the good old days  What happened to the rest of the crowd? Any of them still around (Major Fubar, Tovarish, Balschoiw, Denoir, Placebo, Ran, Hilandor, Albert Schweitzer, Ralph Wiggum, theavonlady, Ex-Ronin...)? Welcome back Spaniard. Yes, family is still alive and kicking I wonder if Llauma is still around though.

lol Aimpoint, maybe you should look at it from a different angle. If you play bad you make us germans look even worse (since we obviously lost in 06). I seriously believe that loosing this match was good. It will help to rejuvinate the team and question the rather defensive style italy plays these days. Come on, for us viewers effective and efficient football is just a little boring, dont blame us for that. Sucidal and desorganised teams with a big heart like turkey are what makes the eurocup worthwile
-
I wouldn't describe the last German match as boring, neither our qualifications matches... Just the group stage with Croatia and Austria was a bit slow, which had psychological reasons in my opinion. okay, lets put is this way, Germany is an established football nation with a certain amount of experience. Attacking at all cost is statistically nonesense and it appears we are the only one amongst the remaining to know that. But I rather watch a suicidal attack style than the efficient german way.
-
Honestly, I believe this could become one of the most exciting eurocups since centuries. As you already said, all defensive oriented teams are out now and those who remain fight for a dream. Probably Germany is one of the most boring ones amongst them but I doubt turkey will allow them to play lame style.
-
what a useless match so far! But spain at least ist trying! If italy wins this one and continues with this boring style then they will definetly ruin the finals for us the viewers.
-
Many teams would have the potential to beat Holland, if they just goddamn concentrate on preventing their defend&rush strategy. But so far they just didnt take the speed of the dutch strikers seriously enough.
-
no, any body part with which you could possibly shoot a goal counts! Anyhow, this discussion is silly. No ref is able to see and judge these mili-second events with 100% accuracy. Soccer is about humans, whoever doesnt like the error margin that comes with it should play Pong instead! Good matches so far. Austria. we will rip you into pieces!
-
But they always start weak. As far as the french team is concerned the first few games cant be conidered an indicator of their strength.
-
This match wasn't very important yet, it gradually becomes worse with every successive round, or when the opponent is of extraordinary quality. Just wait until they meet an opponent that is more capable of dealing with them like the Italians or Germans. couldnt have said it better! However I always try to keep my confidence in a team. Maybe Portugal has learned and I am sure they can succeed without playing any silly games.
-
one thing can be said for sure after this match. Portugal or Italy wouldnt have a problem cracking our defense.

Geoff Hurst = funny man In the Guardian he supports Holland http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/may/26/holland.euro2000 And in the Sun he supports Germany http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1258606.ece

Ah... no, that would be too ironic ^^ 1.8% Â Â Spain 96.3% Â Holland 0.2% Â Â Romania 1.3% Â Â Germany 0.3% Â Â Sweden Think the winner is quite clear But the article http://www.guardian.co.uk/footbal....allteam is really great well look who supports Holland in that video blog. Who can be a better promoter??

Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced
Albert Schweitzer replied to imported_bör's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
That's too simple. A) OFP/ArmA are niche products targeting customers with very unique gaming preferences, thus it was Word of mouth that sold OFP in the beginning, definetly not the proper Marketing Campaign. B) If OFP2 turns out to be a mainstream product, then Marketing becomes crucial indeed. But this would imply taking gameplay compromises that kick it out of the reality-genre. -> no competitor C) If Codemasters realy wants to make a game that competes with ArmA in all important areas, then quality will be crucial, not the advertising budget. Gamers have become much more emancipated and informed and use various channels to find the best product for themselves. So Marketing is only one element of the promotion mix, but definetly not the most important one. It might be different for mainstream games such as Call of duty and GTA, but not for the genre we are interested in. BIS currently is occupying a very narrow niche. Too narrow for Publishers with great shareholder pressure and market share aspirations in the gaming industry. -
I know this problem, it is all about what you set as standard device for you audio card. Furthermore if you have a cam, please also check the settings there. My standard audio device is set to "what you hear"!
-
But it sais >>WaveToLip is an application that generates a lip files (*.lip) from wav, ogg or wss audio files supported by Bohemia Interactive's engine.<< and it works. the lip file has a clear and clean structure. Okay, with a wav file it seems to work. strange! I checked my ogg file again and it was clearly 16 bit and Mono. It seems it is all about the caching. I cant just change the audio file and expect it to work right away. Only if I leave the editor and go back into the mission again it works.

9.) created soldiers with the name hans 8.) created trigger with: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">hans say "meow" nothing happens. Any advise anyone? Â I just tested and it works perfectly here . Tried both with a waypoint and a trigger. Is your ogg file 16bit mono? Thats what I ask myself too. But wavetolip.exe accepted the file and created a corresponding lip file. So my assumption was that the ogg must be correctly edited. Besides, wouldnt the lip file still work even if the ogg is corrupt?
-
I seem to encounter problems with this, even in a simple example mission 1) created ogg file 2) created lip file 3) made sure both files carry the same name (meow) 4) created folder "sound" in the examplemission folder 5) put both files into the sound foler 6) created description.ext file 7) entered: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> class CfgSounds { sounds[] = {}; Â Â Â class meow { name = "meow"; sound[] = {"meow.ogg", db+10, 1.0}; titles[] = {}; }; }; 9.) created soldiers with the name hans 8.) created trigger with: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">hans say "meow" nothing happens. Any advise anyone? Â
