  5. Ok guys I just finished reading the thread about the C130 and how I haven't posted new pics. This stuff takes longer then I would have ever thought to get it as close to professional quaility as possible ( for a novice) I started working on the C130 and got about 80% or so finsihed with it.. About the same time I started working on a Oh6. Then people started asking about Little Birds. So I started working back on the OH6 models.. I posted a few pic and people made comments.. I beta tested with 4 people and I kept improving it.. So far I have 3 choppers ready to go. Oh6 Ah6 Oh6 1st is Resistance.. 2nd and 3rd are US Army. I decided to put full time work in the choppers to get them out at the same time that Resistance was deployed. (released) I posted more pic and people made more comments.. I think I have them finished as people would like to have them. My next project will be to get back on the C130 and get it finsihed.
  6. Change if you must but be aware that there will version conflicts, and possibly crashes and issues with people that are using the standard chopper version in missions. Please don't send me support e-mails because it doesn't work properly in 1.46 or 1.10. Also these modified choppers will not work in Resistance.. so I suggest using the original ones when you get Resistance. -Capt Moore

    Now that Resistance is out.., you will start to see the muzzle flash and other strange things as I predicted. It can be fixed.. i would suggest writing the mod maker and having them add the CFGMODELS in the cpp file for their type of addon. I'm already seeing people commenting about it in the news groups. Resistance Expansion will force us to configure models properly. ok guys I know that we have experienced this muzzle flash bug.. so some of us have just deleted the flash and release the product or tell users to only use DIRECTX and not HWT&L. Resistance will require, regardless of DirectX or HWT&L the use of cfgmodels configuration. This excludes models that have been binaryizer (sp). The new Resistance build treats the models the same regardless weather they are in HWT&L mode or DirectX mode. This means that if you released a model or are about to release a model. You might want to reconsider and put in the CFGMODELS configuration so that the model will be compatible with Resistance. Resistance will be released around June 28th according to Code Masters. If you don't understand how to use the CFGMODELS we can write a few example files that will help. I personally have two working cpp files that use the CFGMODELS and work perfectly. One is for a chopper the other is for a fixed wing aircraft with props. NOTE: I suggest setting your config file to only allow your addon to work with version 1.70 This is because if players use your models that are properly configured with CFGMODELS then it could cause their OFP to crash. To get around this I suggest setting in your config.cpp file to use version 1.70. This makes it so that a user must use Resistance expansion to use the newly released addon which has the CFGMODELS BUG FIX in it. -Capt Moore

The mod community is aware of this issue and are revamping their addons to be complient with Resistance.

A properly configured addon will not properly work in 1.46 period. the addons that people have been playing with were never properly configured.. and would look really dumb in Resistance you will see onces its out and you try to use the old addons.. 1.60 is a beta patch and is not Resistance I too am in USA and have to wait.

I still don't see any difference. btw are you a MOD maker? if you were you would be aware of the cfgmodel issue that was present in 1.46. Bi has not released a Binizer to the mod community so we need to use the cfgmodels to get the addons to work. I already know that there is a problem with 1.46 because I tested it. the issue was resolved in 1.60. 1.60 is a beta patch. so im releasing them for the new official build which is Resistance.. nothing has changed.

    Vehicles in OFp can have 1 gun. Im not talking about rockets just guns. so you would be able to have 1 MG hanging out the side of an AC130 but that is it. YOu might be able to simulate multiguns but only one will work. example on my AH6 it has 2 mini guns on it.. but in reality only one of them actually works. the other flashes so it appears to work but it doesn't in the game. This in an OFP engine limitation and can not be enhanced by the players.

    An M1 tank wouldn't fit in the back of a c130 and I doubt that it could even lift it. cargo space for men.

You can access the SINGLE MISSIONS by using the TAB key in 1.60<span id='postcolor'> You know that and I know that, but 95% of OFP fans doesn't know that.

Visit the official website at: http://www.codemasters.com/ofp-resistance" btw, once its out and people are playing it .. I will release the choppers... I textured as you can see and upgraded the choppers to version 2. In doing so I also upgraded the choppers so that they will only work in Resistance. I don't want to worry about people complaining that they can't put the choppers in version 1.60 because there is no editor to be found (in 1.60) to create missions with the little birds..

    ale2999, Only eight more days (according to CM) for the release. Resistance is WAY worth the value, you willl see. Plus you can use my littlebird pack in Resistance. The huge island and large cities would make some good spots for a BHD type mission. Capt Moore

    My guess is a OH-6 why not? There are twoin Magnum PI isn't there, and that was early 80's Well ok.. once Resistance is out I will release a OH6 for the resistance.. but i was thinking.. should it say FIA on the side of the chopper? this could be a dangerous idea.. because they would be to easy to spot.. i think they should have a normal outside with no markings at all. And since these choppers were not designed for war.. they wouldn't have weapons either.. more or less a quick light transport for insertions. Capt Moore
