    Addamo's c-130 - getting there

    Hi guys I just found this thread on accident. I would work on it more but I have been really busy and can only pick at it here and there. Usually on Wed's Thanks for the good comments.. The plane flys quiet well and I have taken off and landed at Everon main airport without problems. Im not the best skinner.. (still learning) this big plane is a big project.   2. ok I don't really have a mod. I'm more of a free stylist. But I am willing to put my vehicles into someone elses mod. I think it is a good idea to release vehicles as a group so that someone can just ask. did you get the so and so mod? knowing if they did that they can play a mission. Also I think it a good idea if we all here BETA TEST each others vehicles before they are released in the mods.. I found this out by releasing the m101a1.pbo cannon that has a little bug in it..(cant kill the crew without killing the cannon, I have since fix this) if i tested more.. i might have found it sooner.. its very HARD to tell people to "get the new version" once its been released. I am working on the following: C-130 cargo plane 80% completed Spas-12 shotgun 98% completed Oh-6 chopper 70% completed If you are interested I can post links to the pics Capt Moore

    hello again.. There forums have been pretty quiet lately.. I figure everyone is out making there projects..     1.55: sockets + nat firewalls = no go

    Forward ports 2234 and 2235. I've been hosting a dedicted 1.55 server on the inside of a NAT'd firewall with the two ports above forwared to the proper internal address and it works great. Many people on the outside can connect no problems

    Multi props

    Dear Bi developer, I now have a C130 that is very flyable. I have four prop and on the plane. The problem that I am having is that all four props spin around a single axis. I was told that they feature to allow more then one prop was added back around 1.42. Please give me some advice how to have a differant axis on each prop. Thanks, Cpt Moore

    Here is my Second mod release. This features a number of new characters plus a brand new SPAS-12 shotgun This also features an update on the M101A1 cannon.. so when installing this please overwrite the old M101A1. http://www.101st.org/drop/CaptMooreMod1.jpg There are a few bugs left in..     extrude was removed from the first m16 tutorial... some of you got it before it was replaced. It was replaced about 24 hrs after the site opened so if you got the tutorial after that time.. don't worry about it. Please download the new M16 tutorial and it will have a work around for extrude.

    the pesky cannon bug crept back in.. so i fixed it again... also the spas12..uses this: reloadAction="manactstoprelaxed"; to reload with.. the problem with that is you can only reload the shotgun while kneeling or standing but not laying down.. any ideas?

    Beta test time.. ok here is the latest... I believe this will be the release unless there is a really big problem. I resolved all the bugs except the shadow one and the low poly one...     the last bugs: >shadows.. ok thats a new one.. I will try and build a few LODS for them.. if not .. >the SPAS12 flash bug.. I have worked in this one and I don't think there is anthing that we can do to fix this at the moment. I think I will just remove the flash from the shotgun..I don't think I have much of a choice here..I can always add it back later when I have another release.

    Here is an update on the mod thus far: The seeing units thru windows issue is: An OFP bug with alpahtransparent textures sorting The issue with the spas12 and unable to pick it up is: The ammo and the weapon are named the same in the config.cpp file and needs a different name. The droid now have been texutured for differant side A surprise on what they look like :) I'm not worried about copyright because they were ripped from Counter strike .. and so far they dont care..Just probably cant make money on it.. but that okay I already signed a NDA that said I wouldnt anyway. shadows.. ok thats a new one.. You guys are great.. look at all the bugs that are being fixed before it reaches the public :) the SPAS12 flash bug.. i haven't worked on that one yet..But I thought i saw Marek post about it on this forum.. somehting about the config.cpp classes. WISH LIST: Bi to make a small program that creates config.cPP files for us. We load up and use drop downs.. point to the models and hit the CREATE BUTTON.. DONE.. please oh please :)

    ok i was thinking of releasing my first MOD number.     That was my release.. I didn't know that it was supposed to be a secret that oxygen was to be released. In fact I would have expected the opposite. Fans have been waiting for the news about Oxygen.. yahoo! oxygen is finally released to mod makers.. and now they can expect to get some activity as far as mods. this is great news for all..

    I read some of your guys comment about the ability to kill the cannon but not kill the crewman.. We have since fixed the cannon which will now allow you to kill the crewman and capture the cannon.     I do testing for Bi studios on the "Internet" side of MP testing, that is why I am asking these questions. Suma is at the EU gaming convention right now and that is why he is not posting at the moment. Now, can anyone please let me know if the settings reduce lag in 1.49? If players are not seeing any decrease in lag then I will retest the netcode setting and try to get better numbers to retest with. Some changes int he netcode settings where made in the 4.x patch that helped the MP game for dedicated servers. I believe that these setting might need to be re-evaluated for the changes made in the 1.47-1.49 patch. I could be wrong but I have seen a great deal of decrease in lag on the 1.49 patch using the above mentioned settings. Adam Moore (check game credits)

    These settings are not dependant on the internet connetion "type". They are settings that relate to DirectX and how the streaming of packets are handled. The setting that is dependant on the bandwidth I omitted from this thread. The bandwidth setting is a setting based on the "type" of connection. The reason that I need to know is that the testing I do in this game may directly effect what you get in the next patch and I need to know if these settings will help the games latency or not for consideration in future patches. -Adammo
