Down load it .. then load the cfgmodels section into notepad and search for the vehilce that you are creating.. then extract the information out of that file and put it into your config.cpp file.. wa la .. it works.. it might take some fiddeling with it for a while.. but you will get it right..also i would test you model in 1.60 for now.. 1.60 doesnt have a editor.. so create a mission in 1.46 then take notepad and change the vehilce name in your mission.sqm file to the vehicle that you are working with. Then load the mission into 1.60 multiplayer.. and it will work.

    You might want to wait for Resistance in a week or so before installing sound mods.. you might be surprised ! Capt Moore
  3. Just rember this effects all moving textures. wheels, tracks, rotors, flashes.. everything that moves. and it will not work in resistance which will be out around the 28th for this month.

    I beleive that bug was fixed in 1.58 anyway it works fine in 1.60. Pls update all of your models to use CFGMODELS because resistance will require it or else your rotors wont work. your muzzle flashes won't work.. infact many moving textures if not all will not work in Resistance if you don't update your addons. You will find that some of the addons will need to be re-done once resistance is out. This is because many people are creating their addons based on the DIRECTX and not the HWT&L. Example the muzzle flash issue wasn't fixed until around 1.60. The Resistance makes MOD'rs fix their models because if the muzzle flash doesnt work in HWT&L then it wont work in DIRECTX anymore. This is a change that was made in Resistance. It forces MOD'rs to create their addons correclty. This is a setting in the cpp that is something like CFGMODELS and if this is not setup correctly then the muzzle flashes down work correctly, and the main rotors won't work properky. The catch 22 is that if they used the CFGMODELS in 1.46 the game would crash because of a in game bug. But this bug was fixed around 1.60. I recommend buying Resistance to play the choppers. This is because the choppers were bulit properly to work OFP and with the Resistance build. Capt Moore

    go ahead and post it.. The MOD is finshed.. I have the final copy here. beta testers pls delete your copy since its not the final and has bugs. Plus i hate having buggy copies floating around, they cause game problems i have found. Im probably going to release it about June 28th when Resistance is released.. because of the issues stated in my other post Thanks, Capt Moore btw, thx to all those that applied.. i only took 2 beta testers..

    "...to me it's just sad that with the same amount of effort put into to that addon we could have had a real helicopter for the Resistance." believe me its not the same amount of effort.. plus the screw chopper is pretty fun.. This will be released probably around June 28th for Resistance fighters. Capt Moore

    ok i have the models tested and made some more changes.. I have the final version ready. these models use the cfgmodels in the config.cpp so they wont work with version 1.46 because the bug for the cfgmodel wasnt fixed until later.. but 1.60 is compatible with the models. They will also work in Resistance. This includes the muzzle flash that is fixed. using version 1.60 + and the cfgmodels config. The problem is: if I release them now people wont be able to play with unless version 1.60 is used or it will crash 1.46 possibly. We all know that 1.60 does not have an editor so you cant make mission with them.. sounds like a catch 22. I think the best thing is to hold off until JUNE 28th when CM announced that Resistance will ship to stores.. the new Resistance build will solve the problem. Capt Moore

    Head lights

    Does anyone know the name of the memory point for the headlight. My chopper has the white light.. i got that to work.(texture) but I can get the actual beam to work right. it shows that it is coming from the rotor area. and not from the front of the chopper. This usually means that i dont have the correct memory point names in the memory area. Anyone know who I can fix this? Thanks

    Some czech model  part names

    aLoneWolf create a list of cz words that are used in O2. not all the words are on the list but there are a lot of them. I suggest we add the words found to this list and post it somewhere. Then when someone figures out another word and what the memory point does.. we can update it? What do you guys think?

    Klink thanks for you suggestion. yes the follow will and did work. Adding the following points in memory area named below: 4 points: L Svetlo - konec L svetla P svetlo - konec P svetla btw don't use the "-" part it only separates the words. I was trying to use the old naming standard from the DEMO models, which i found has been changed now in the newer versions.

    The answer is to: flip the rotor axis in the memory area. put the top axis on the bottom and the bottom on the top..

    Addamo's c-130 - getting there

    I have to say that I'm the best C-130 pilot in the entire community and so far no one can surpass my handling of the plane :) ok ok I do have an advantage :) now a few comments and questions: 1. the props are now working for directx and T&l HW 2. I have done some new work onthe cochpit but not a lot. it looks better then it used to. I have not added any intruments to the dash. If I add them it will take longer to release because im need to do some more work on the external skins. 3. I think I will wait for the Binarized tool to be released before I release the C130. This is because it makes things more compatible and much easier to work. I think it will work much better in RESISTANCE addon if you get the c130 that has been Binarized. ( I hate re-releasing anything) 4. the planes weight needs to be adjusted to be able to make sharper turns. 5. the lower polygons (LOD's) need to be created. 6. if i do more work on the cockpit it will take more time to release should I do this? Other then this.. its running very well and is very playable at this time. Also I added custom engine sounds. If anyone has a c130 multi engine sound pls put the url here.. i will compare it and if its better I will add it instead of what I have. -Capt Moore

    Hey boyz, about the cargo plane

    Hi guys.. The C130 is a lot more work then I ever imagined. Like Miles was saying I need to finsihed the internal cargo texturing and remove the "missles and MG" hehe The plane doesnt have a very good turning radius on the ground at this time and Im not sure how to improve it. I think the problem is because of its size.. its all relative to the size of the model. In other words an AI can taxi it down and take off from the small run ways.. because the turn from teh taxi ways to the runway is to small.. but if placed properly it would be a great tool in a mission. anyways.. I don't give up on it.. I'm still working it.. Capt Moore
