    Lol, it sounds like you are actually in the SASR I been looking forward to see some non dessert SAS addons, something good for jungle, and something good for urban and CQB. But at the same time, no one have ever made a bunch of western guys with guns and LR dressed up like Arabs mixed up with military clothing. I don't give a s##t about if is acurated information or not, all I know is that an addon like it would do some great missions. Regards. @CERO.

    Yes, that is why I haven't sugested any and I was thinking more on multiperpous vehicles like the Gazelle. For fixed wing, there was an addon somewhere that was reskined that looks like a Aviocar but much smaller. I still find fixed wing transport unsuitable for this island and for the EDF, but if they give the EDF one I won't complain, lol, I'll probably use it some how. Regards. @CERO.

    A DC3 would be cool, but there is not many places in Everon to land this baby. What is it, just one airport. This meen that without suitable landing strips somewhere else in Everon this plane would be only suitable for out of the island transport, and the EDF don't look like an agresors kind of army that go somewhere outside its territory to do war. This is where its allies would step in, to hellp with things like that, that lets be fare, EDF can't afford to do. Yes, it would be cool,, the same would be said for smaller airplanes, at list they can land in improvised air strips. Regards. @CERO.     May I suggest any of of Martins chopers?Most of them would fit on some role for this army. We have the Hugues 300C , Would do nicely as a recon vehicle. His Bell 206 could be a good choice too, for multy perpous, transport or recon. Another nis one could be his Bell 47 for the same reasons as the Huges 300, recon or minimal transport. Most probably and with more of my votes could be his UH1D. I think it would be the ideal air vehicle. Other than that, there is lots of European used elicopters that would do nicelly. The Puma and the Chinook would be to expensive and big for such an army, so would be the Merlin and the the CH 53, but a MI 8 could be resonable due to being a popular vehicle in the world, and maybe the Americans got their hands on a cuple to supplie to the EDF. The Gazelle could be a nice choice too, is a medium sized choper that can be used for many many different roles. I don't think a fixed wing vehicle would siut the EDF, not for transport. In an island like Everon a fixed wing transport vehicle in my opinion don't make much sense. All that is just sugestions, I'll be happy with whatever you guys decide anyway. Regards. @CERO.

    Is everybody here being able to get the UWAR gras appear in this island by default? I'm a bit confused in how to install the gras, specially after reading the readmes from the gras, because in one of the readings it say this: Is the part that say ";DISABLED FEATURE BECAUSE NO ISLAND HAS MY ABSTRACT OBJECTS ON IT YET" that confuses me. Do I need to add the configurations in the UWAR gras folder? Maybe I should post in the UWAR gras topic. Regards. @CERO.

    How are you getting with understanding the configurations? That´s going to be your biggest headeach, lol. This mod is welcome by me, I´m really interested in the SAS, and it would be nice to see that going thought ok. Maybe "Virtual SAS" could come back to life? hint, hint, any one? If I had the time I could hellp with the research, but I don´t have much time for OFP due to RL, but maybe... Dunno, I supose what I should really do is give my Spanish compatriots a hand with their mod. Now saying that, I have quite a lot of material, wich, veridic or ficticious, could be really handy for you, but you may own most of that info. Regards. @CERO
  11. I thought it would be to do with all the animation and calculations made in the engine when the full squad is on foot being much more complex than the ones created by a single vehicle. I´m not being sarcasic or anything, I find it interesting, it makes me think about using vehicles more now than foot patrols due to possible performance issues in some missions. [APS]Gnat got a point too by asking that question he asked, something that would explain a lot about AI behaviour when in cargo only vehicles. If things are like that, you´ll only be detected by the driver of a vehicle without a comnder and a guner, because any cargo is not really there, so they can´t really detect you,  do I get that right?     You are completly right Ironsight, ofcourse you are, you guys made them I should cheked before I open my mouth BTW, how about doing a jeep like the one with the MG but without weapons or seats in the back, instead, add a few boxes, or crates, or whatever, and a seating proxy where the unit is having a cheal, you know, lying across the back or something. That would be completly useless, but it would look cool as f###. Thanks. @CERO.
  13. Yes, I'm using a Soundblaster and the sounds in OFP are amazing. Sometimes I wonder how many addon makers actually have a card that can reproduce sound in OFP like it should be, because most of them seem to do a good job with their sounds in their addons. I really love the sounds of very distant explossions where it just comes to you as a rumble, like an earthquake. Distant firefights sound very cool too. The sounds in AA could be improved, sure, there is allways room for improvement, but I think is just the actual sounds, not the way BIS implemented them in the game, because I find that their vehicle and weapons sounds are not of my likeness, but the way they are placed in the game, the way the engine use them, that's very cool. Just get new sounds like those in some sound modification mods and I'll be very pleased. Regards. @CERO.

    I just realiced something while messing about with the jeeps. The Jeep with the MG got a seating proxy messed up or something? There is place for a driver, a guner, and then two cargos, where in the BIS ones is only one cargo seat. When the second cargo board the jeep it dissapears, if I remember right is to do with the configuration and the seating proxies, but I'll live that to you guys, "Ughhh!! me know nothing, no spiko Ingles Mr Fawlty!!" Â Lol. BTW, it would be sweet if this extra cargo could stay but with some weeked animation that will not get on the gunners way, like laying acros the back, like if he was resting in a hamoc or something. Regards. @CERO. Edit: I forgot, I was using the FFUR 2005 mod, if that makes any difference.

    The good thing about them being in "West" is that using DMA Resistance you get the three sides filled up because DMA Resistance are in Resistance and East, what a rush man. Great addon. I just had a go with the DMA resistance, I made a little fight in Everon, where the resistance ambush a convoy of the EDF, put lots of HD resistance and I had an excelent fight. The only thing missing is a truck and some sort of APC. I think that the M113 retextured would be a good choice, wouldn't COMBAT let you guys use one of theirs by any chance? And there is a few European based trucks around that would do very well, like some of the ones from BW mod, wouldn't they cooperate too? Just a thought, I know that you probably have something in the works anyway. Regards. @CERO.

    Battle Tank/APC Preference

    I voted addon. The BTR-T got to be my favourite armoured vehicle in OFP, just love the things is capable to do, use it as anithing, and it can kick some rear on any other armoured vehicle. Other than that I love the RHS T-55's, they are just class. They are a pice of garbage in real life and virtually any other armored vehicle capable of AT figting can blow it appart in two seconds, but is a classic, is like a 45 Chevy next to a bunch of modern sporters, is going to cort your eye, eye eye.     Maybe activating that throught the action menu? If the custom action appears only when the unit is running it will stop cluttering in the action menu, and it will not make possible to jump from a walking or motionless animation, more realistic then. Then if we can have the chute action during jumping it will stop the player from opening the chute in an undessired or not suitable situation. I'll see if I have time to work something out, I doubt it, but I'll try. Regards. @CERO.

    Walking inside vehicles in ArmA?

    Every topic in this forum is a question to BIS. If they have to reply to every question, ArmA would end up being released in 2008. I'm gagging to know the answers, but at the same time I don't really want to know, because if I know the score I only will want the release date to arrive faster and will make me get impatiente. I think I'll just enjoy OFP for now on, and a few pints with my mates. Forget about ArmA, is not good for your harts and blood preasure to think too much about it before it gets released, lol.     Wouldn't that teletransport the unit to each looped possition? it would have to be very well timed, and I doubt that the animations would be able to kick in at all between one setpos to another. It would look like some kind of "Matrix" camera effect, lol, could look good in an intro or something. It sounds like a good principle anyway. Regards. @CERO.

    Lol, I tryed that too. The problem about base jumping is that the unit falls close to the building or cliff, doing the walking animations, so it can't look to good, at list there was a way to lunch the unit some distance to simulate the actual jumping. This without customs animations will look horrible anyway. I'm sure that I seen a jumping script somewhere thou. Regards. @CERO.

    It would be interesting to see a sprint and jump animations that get activated by action menu. Mix that with a HALO unit or script and it would look the part for base jumping. The only problem I could see is the mixing of whatever animations pack the player is using and the sprint animation because of the weapons position even if it gos into "safe". They could be useful to jump from building to building too, as long as it looks realistic ofcourse. ... I think I'm the only one who is going to understan what I just said, lol  Regards. @CERO.

    I not necessarely meen that, I know what Placebo wrote. Yes, They may be already made, they maybe working on them now, maybe they still have to work on them, that wasn't the main reason of my post anyway  Maybe there is a full finished version of AA in Mars and you'll only get it here when Marcians beta test it...   I know, I need more sleep. What I was trying to say is that they only have half a year left if the release that in mid 2006, just to beta test it, to be able to release a neet product, they'll need time. Regards. @CERO...   25. Very interesting. OFP2 was released a long time ago when BIS released O2 to the public. That's what we own now. Yes, is the same engine, but after all the improvements made by the comunity, I could certanly be fool two or three years ago by looking at pics of OFP looking how it look now(If time trable was possible, lol). First thing would go throught my head is that OFP2 will be released before 2005, when all I was realy seeing was pictures of improvements made by the OFP comunity. People really have done an amazing face lift to OFP, and that's just as a hoby. Regards. @CERO.
