    Hey We need A Separtate ghillie sniper addon

    Cause thats 1+ GB of a mod for a single addon. If he plans to make a mission from it, I'm not sure many people would wish to download XAM mod just to have 1 addon for the mission to work.

    Well my brother was in the process of switching the CPU heatsink and after removing the heatsink he found out the CPU was stuck to it. He now cant get the CPU back in due to the heatsink being in the way and nor can he get the heatsink off so hes a bit stuck! Does anybody have any ideas ons olcing this? (He would much rather not buy a new CPU)

    ArmA is just ... disappointing

    Well I used to really hate this game, when I had my old PC. I had to turn all settings to off/very low to get decent fps and this made the game look so terrible. With my new PC I can now play on full settings with good fps, the game now looks nice and enjoyment is much higher. However there are still many things I hate about the game, the graphics have weird textures compared to other games and I just dont like this, the AI do have their good moments when they flank you and kill you but overall they suck. The ArmA GUI is terrible IMO it looks tacky and crap, I loved the OFP GUI I dont know why they kept with one simillar to that. I could go on and on about things I dont like and how much I prefer OFP over ArmA despite OFP being 6 years old. ArmA has great potential but if you ask me far too much time was spent on making the game look good and not enough on the important things, I would be happy to be playing a game that looked like OFP if that meant the AI would be great and all otehr things in ArmA were fixed.

    8800 problems

    I have an 8800 GTS 640mb and have no problems what so ever and I am loving the card, I run ArmA all on high settings with great fps.
  7. Well I have had a quick search but with no luck. I am looking for a multiplayer compatible airstrike script. I have tried Mr-Murrays but I have had a few problems in MP and even SP like the plan just doesnt turn up etc etc. But I was just checking if anyone knows of a good MP compatible airstrike script which I may have missed?
  8. Why dont you just set dammage to the object, the sign would be face down but you wouldnt be able to see it.
  9. I love the update. But I still reckon the choppers, engine sounds are a bit quiet still. Plus incoming fire is also a little too quiet I reckon. Great work though.

    USMC 2003 style

    I think the addon is great, I personally dont care less if they arent 100% realistic. I like the feeling of slightly under equiped. I love these 'just for fun' style addons if everyone tryed to make 100% realistic soldiers they will all be the same and that would be a bit boring. Its addons like these which add variation for chosing addons for a mission or a mod etc. Great work. Looking forward to any future versions or addons coming out from you.

Dont know if everyone remembers the COC AIOD scripts, which would basically delete the entire squad apart from the squad leader and when ever a player comes with in X Metres of that leader it will spawn the squad back up to full strength. The script was very handy especially in reducing lag when a lot of units are on the map and we need as many lag reducing scripts in ArmA as possible So was just wondering if anyone was thinking of making something simillar or even converting the OFP version? Or am I blind and is their something like this already out for ArmA? Thanks.

  13. Well STA (terrible name I know ) firstly started off in OFP when it was a more advanced version of the group link 2 demo using COC artillery and other stuff. I have decided to remake the mission but in ArmA. As well as giving it a 'story', but keep in mind the is just the first mission really with a very dumbed down story line as not to give too much away. The idea is to make a set of MP Missions (which can also be played in SP) all with a story line between each. The mission is aimed more at tactical clans as the mission can be quite hard without using any team work. INSTALLATION For installation notes please check the readme included in the .rar file.     Respawn is just 'base' respawn but its just where you start about 2-3 hundred metres from 1st objective.

    Hm... well I must have downloaded an older version since it seems to update with that script. Also is it possible to get this to also work with vehicles such as tanks, it will spawn the crew for the tank just they wont get in it or anything.

    Change the on activation from 1 setRadioMsg "Prisoners"; alpha=true to... alpha=true In the "Text" box of the trigger call it Prisoners That should work.

    Just had time to check the script and its very good, does just what I want really. A small though though, some where in the script it should re-update the leader, call the group group1=group this Somewhere should be _leader = leader group1 for example, that should solve the leader not switching when the units are dead. Does the script also store ammo levels? I see it adds the rigth weapon. Also incase you wish to see how COC did it PM me and I shall send the scripts. Great work so far.

  19. Lovely sound mod, love the sounds a lot. However the chopper sounds seem to be very quiet, I have often had a chopper fly over my head a couple of times before i notice it because its been far too quiet. Same with enemy fire, my team have often come under fire and I dont here the gun shots i start getting "3, Injured", "Oh no 3 is down" and since i dont here the enemy fire its hard to tell where there shooting from. But if these problems were to be fixed the mod would be awesome.

    @Myke Yeah the DAC does include basically what I want only problem is I already have the groups down. I am using the Coop essential pack too (great work on that btw) however as I said above the squads are already placed down, plus spawning them seperate would ruin some of the mission due to different waypoints etc etc. @Q Normally I would however I have been brought up to think thats very cheeky, plus I do find it anoying when people PM me to ask me to do things.

    ArmA Group Link II Plus!

    Group link was amazing for OFP so thanks for converting it. However just wondering what are the currage levels? I want my groups to call for support very often as they are meant to be quite cowardly. Also whilst playing the mission I created I noticed that the occupied groups always seem to be empty and no one comes to chase me down. I get no errors whilst starting/playing the mission. However I am using Kronzky's Urban Patrol Script with some of the static enemy groups, could there be a conflict?
  22. I used to get that problem a lot until i started using maxmem=512 then I have not randomly crashed since.

    ArmA is just ... disappointing

    No most cards are recomended in certain resolutions, if you against the recomendation then it might be a bit slower for example. As Madus_Maximus the recomended is 1024x768 most of the time, if you go below this then it may be slightly slower aswell as if you go above. My old Geforce 6600 ran games much better with 1024x768, my fps dropped in most games if I ran aboe or below.

    Mando Missile ArmA

    Well thats the problem the missile still misses far distant targets and I have hit that target before just hits rarely. However I am thinking it may be due to performance? My computer does run slow when playing the mission since I play with all settings on full, I may make a small test mission and erase most of the squads and then give it a go. Not sure if it will be the reason, just if the computer is running slow then scripts arent running as fast as they should possibly missing a loop or something in a script. I have noticed at the begining of the mission the music doesnt start at the exact same time since many scritps are being initialised. Shall have a quick go.
  25. Well to be honest I have often thought the amount of cheating isnt really as high as everyone makes it out to be. I was wrong I dont normally play online, the times I did I was in a clan anyway so never went on public servers. Yesterday I did, litterally within 20 seconds I was shot at. Then after about 10+ minutes the cheating started. Something really does need to be done!
