    Well, needless to say this really brightened up my day, and I know I broke the picture rules and I don't really care.

    Here I see I'm not the only one with this retarded problem. All a guy asks is to unwind at the end of the day with his favourite game... then he can't. So this dampened my love for anything related to this game. Good night.

    I don't know why everybody is getting so upset about it, it's a normal provocative evolution of the current reality shows, and the times we live in. The public gets what it deserves, no less, no more.

    I don't know what everyone is so dissapointed at? The ballistics are great, the soldier movements are great, the atmosphere is great, there's going to be massive user support for the game, the multiplayer is awesome. The only thing that bothers me personally is the singleplayer part, as the story is full of holes, and is too short, but I'm willing to let that slide. Why? Because of the first firefights i had in ArmA. It was intense, bullets whizzing past, riccocheting off walls, comrades dying right there, I mean, how could you not love it?

    'JNA' dissolved long before those dates, as has the federation(Yugoslavia), the question is only who noticed it or be willing to notice it (all that dissolving of federal institutions and the fleeings of (mostly slovene and croatian) recruits from that 'federal' army.

    This, such isolated cases prooves abslutely nothing, this was in the very beginning of the conflict(s)/war, when in so called 'JNA' were (still) some (very very rare) members from the other nationalities, but soon the recruits were quickly replaced with the reservists from ,,, yes, Serbia. I'll not go further in details, as I said it's not worthed, but with such propaganda you can't change the fact that 'JNA' was in fact a serbian army and the Serbs the agressors. Period.

    The conflict began in 1991. The JNA dissolved in 1992. During that period, it wasn't that rare to see people of other nationalities serving. Yes, it was dominated by the serb population. Yes, they did side with the Serbs in Croatia. But as i said, it was still a federal army.

    The Serbs have attacked Slovenia (not 'JNA', this was just a hypoctitical paravan for the agression/of the agressor), Serbs have attacked Croatia (not local Serb minority, without 'JNA' *read Serbs* they weren't capable to do shit, same goes for the local Serbs in Bosnia -- who gaved them all that mighty weapondry and hardware, eh, who helped them in agression, the Srebs from Serbia), Serbs attacked Bosnia ...

    You do know that the pilot of one of the helicopters that got shot down here was a Slovene? And there were literally brothers, one in the JNA, and one in the TO.

    I know a guy who's cousin was at Vukovar. He's a Bosnian. What does that tell you?

    Veljko Kadijević himself is half Croat.

    You're only proving your unwillingness to listen to what anyone else says.

    I thinked not to answer on your post, firstly because it's off-topic, and secondly because you are the one which have totally one sided view here, and because you're (intentionally? ) in the best propagandistic manner distorting the truth, in attempt to equalise and to distribute the guilt on all the sides equally for all that ordeal.

    Which is a pretty disgusting doing must add.

    Maybe a bit off topic. However, the bombing of Yugoslavia showed the true face of NATO. Attacking a country without UN approval. A conglomerate of military powers, whose sole purpose is to listen to the United States. Kind of like the Warsaw Pact, only packed in sugar to make it more appealing to democracy loving people everywhere.

    And about the one sidedness;

    whose fault was the conflict in Yugoslavia? If not of all those involved? If by claiming the Serbs are the ones who did all the wrongs, are you not being one sided yourself?

    From your writing I speculate that you're from around here, and may be emotionally involved in the whole matter. However, you must realise the other side is emotionally involved as well. So, don't take this as an attack on you or anything.

    The only thing here that bothers me is various children, telling us that the conflict is too recent to discuss levelheadedly.

    So, enough from the Balkan wars for now from me.

    Obviously you don't have a clue about Yugoslavia and what hapenned there, so stop/don't using it as some proof for the NATO 'expansion' or non-legitimate use of force or whatever. But just for your information; 'Yugoslavia' *read hegemonistic Serbia* attacked by order Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, all of them the (former) 'brotherhood republics', and on the end Kosovo, and the NATO bombarding of Serbia (not Yugoslavia! ) and the Serbs in Bosnia was in fact a respond on the atrocities which Serbs have done, and it cammed all too late, for thousands and thousands of slaughtered innocent bosnian muslim civilians for instance.

    And you apparently have a clue, eh?

    NATO attacked Yugoslavia, not just Serbia. It bombed Serbia, Kosovo, and Montenegro in 1999.

    For what reason you say? To help out the Albanians? Who themselves are completely innocent in the matter?

    And NATO attacks on Serbs in Krajina and Bosnia in 1995?

    Because of their apparent genocidal ways? Then explain the offical death toll for Bosnia, wich is about 100000 for all three sides combined, distributed almost equally. I'm not saying that there weren't crimes, but you're adopting a totally one sided view here.

    What is NATO's bombardment of civilian areas then?

    And in 1991 it was the JNA that intervened in the breakaway republics, not the "hegemonistic Serb army". Later on it dissolved into local army groups supported by their native country (i.e. Serbs in Krajina & Bosnia, and Croatians in Bosnia).

    I doubt that's the case. The funny thing is that NATO was created as a military counterpart to the USSR. Now the USSR has turned into Russia. The obvious NATO antagonist would thus be Russia.

    Or we could just say that the entire organisation is unneeded? Seeing as how the antagonist is gone in this case, what is left to defend against?

    60 years ago, nazi Germany was defeated, although German forces capitulated on the 8th allready, "victory day" stands at the 9th of May.

    Hi,

    There are no updates planned for the current addon and there will will be no change in label.

    In many Slav countries police forces carry the name of militia. In English however militia is commonly defined as irregular armed forces and it is in the latter sense that the word is used in the category designation. Beret badges include the word militia in Cyrillic as an authentic detail because various armed thugs would indeed label themselves as such even if they were more practiced in breaking the law rather than upholding it.

    My point exactly. It means police, rather than a group of armed thugs. And I haven't seen any group labeling themselves as police, but OK, I'm not arguing.

    It was not the intention to depict regular forces, as that would require a bit greater uniformity in appearance  and the provision of more specific weaponry (eg M70 Kalashnikov clones or M53 machine gun). Portraying militia, ie irregular fighters, would allow for greater variety in appearance and equipment reflecting the lack of proper logistical support available to regular armies.

    The generic category 'KMM - Yugoslav militia' is used instead of a more specific name, such as for instance 'KMM - Bosnian-Serb Irregulars', because there will eventually be other Yugoslav factions grouped under that header as well, all a mixed ragtag of Southern Slav irregular militia.

    Hi again, well it still doesn't classify as a militia force, much less as a Yugoslavian militia force, as it is an offical law keeping force inside Republika Srpska. I agree that there are such instances of police being made up from former criminals, but nevertheless.

    And I also agree that the weapons stokpiles were full of old stuff, but JNA primarily used their own homemade equipement, while paramilitary formations were usually given support in anything avalible, including old stockpiles. The other two sides were the ones that smuggled in weapons in large quantities.

    Now please don't take this as an attack on your mod or anything, I just want some kind of relabelment, to change it from "Yugoslav militia" to something else.

    Hey to you Dutch guys, love your pack and all, but a couple things bother me.

    1. On the berret of the Yugoslav officer it says that he is police Snap59.jpg

    If he is part of some militia force, he can't be police, secondly, it also states that he is from Republika srpska, wich is a country apart from Yugoslavia + it was formed in 1995, when the fighting in the republics of former Yugoslavia was over.

    2. Where did you find this helmet? WWII? tounge_o.gif

    3. The smallest problem I see is that these soldiers use foreign equipment. AK47's & SVD's for example.

    Hey!

    I'm sorry I took so long in trying these out, but now I did, and there are a few things that bothered me.

    1. Whenever a Norwegian soldier lies down, I can't seem to shoot him, while the AI doesn't seem to have any problem at all. Could just be my imagination though as I shot at them from a long distance.

    2. When I use larger groups of your soldiers, there is a very noticeable loss in frame-rate. Did you use JPEG textures or something?

    Other than that it's an OK pack, and I'm looking forward to more stuff from you.
