Russian Armour Pack with BTRs v6.0
343rdBadger replied to 343rdBadger's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Its come to my attention that these addons need CBA to run.I did not know this until now...infact,I really don't know "Why" it is needed even?,so I apologize that I didn't foresee this when writing the readme.Hope it didn't cause to much frustration.I "THINK" what happened, is I had installed the CBA stuff on my comp BEFORE I ported these over, thus not knowing it was needed all along...duh,hehe.Goes to show we shouldn't really mess with what we don't understand...haha.This is just my theory but I'm stickin to it. -

RussianArmorPack v4.0
343rdBadger replied to 343rdBadger's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thats how it was in the first release for arma, but when it got ported over to ArmaII they wouldn't show.I have no idea why.the only way that worked for me was to add them manually to the tracked pbo(unless I'm missing the obvious???) -

Big update!!! See first post.version is now V5.0 :)bump -
Don't know if this is happening with others but I get "forced" to turn out when fireing the MG in a tank at the commanders position.Kinda silly if theres enemy all around. Is this a bug or a feature ,or is it just my install?? Also theres a "buzzing" sound of the incomming bullets/rounds...can't tell which they are.

T-90... Vulnerable to Javelin... why?
343rdBadger replied to vitaliy0001's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
If ya want the systems...download the Russian Armor Pack,it has rudimentry defense systems on all t-90's and t-80's. -
Russian Armour Pack version3.0. This update addresses the multiplayer dedicated server issue. All tanks can now run on a dedi without asking for missing texture files(providing you've loaded the rvmats into the tracked.pbo)All you do is de-pbo the tracked.pbo and add the included rvmats to the data\detailmappy directory. If you DON'T do this, what will happen is the game will nag you about it on startup and the textures will be flat/matt without the ArmaII "shinyness"(no biggy really but I personally like the shiny textures better). Russian Armour Pack version3.0.
343rdBadger replied to 343rdBadger's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
well, the problem is I'm not sure why the rvmats aren't being picked up via the tracked.pbo t-72,it only seemed to work by putting them in manually. It might be a binarization thing maybe...dunno.Binarizing it might be the answer now that the muliplayer issues were taken care of,as it was the textures that were kickin up a fuss.I'll try a binoed run today to see if it works. -
Russian Armour Pack version3.0.
343rdBadger replied to 343rdBadger's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
small update. I had missed the proper bailout animations in the last version...its fixed now. Also optimized it abit more in the viewlods,so this update aleast adds to the addon instead of just covering up my mistakes.:D download version 3.1: http://www.filefront.com/14703487/RussianTankPackArmA2Ver3.1.7z -
Russian Armour Pack version3.0.
343rdBadger replied to 343rdBadger's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I'm still muckin about trying to optimize it some more.I will certainly consider the tracked.pbo inclusion, if I can get the upload low enough.I'm still having a struggle with getting the crew to jump out at the proper height, they don't seem to injure themselves anymore but It looks too damn weird that they highjump out the top of the tank.I managed to knock a few more mbs off the size by redoing the viewgeometry...so its getting smaller.Next release should be the final unless I get real ambitious and add a new tank or two...what?!!???...could happen??!!! hahaha:cool: -
Nice_Boat Tank Damage System
343rdBadger replied to Nice_Boat's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Anyway to make this compatible with the Russian Armour pack? It seems to wipout the random number, smoke launching and ATGM defence system.Probably because its tied to the games original T-72.Kinda a drag having the numbers missing and the T-80's /90's behaving like T-72's in battle.Any thoughts? -
Russian Armor Pack version 2.0 for Arma2:bounce3: T-90A T-90S T-80UD T-80UK T-80UM1 T-72Mp T-72bm Changelog: Fixed the highjumping crew bailout,Added proper missiles and sounds for the ATGM system. download: http://www.filefront.com/14332221/RussianTankPackArmA2Ver2.0.7z Screenshot: I have totally forgotten everything I learned from Arma 1 addon making... so this pack has some issues with ArmaII.Not to mention I didn't have the tools. First thing is the rvmat problems that make it dependent on the tracked.pbo.The only way I could get around this was to add them into the tracked.pbo package. All you do is de-pbo the tracked.pbo and add the included rvmats to the data\detailmappy directory. If you DON'T do this, what will happen is the game will nag you about it on startup and the textures will be flat/matt without the ArmaII "shinyness"(no biggy really but I personally like the shiny textures better).I also couldn't find a missing rvmat for the helmuts sitting on the tanks fenders...so it will nag also if choosing a tank with extra details on it. Other than these little problems they work great, look great(better than they did in ArmaI) and add alot more variety to the armour section. They also have defensive systems so they can survive longer(well...alittle longer!)Enjoy If anyone wants to try to fix these issues please give me a holler.Would be nice to have them perfected. Thanks to ModEmMaik,Marijus, and Snoops for helping with this project...couldn't have done it without ya.

Russian Tank Pack
343rdBadger replied to 343rdBadger's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Just a cautionary note...the "NiceBoat Armour Values Addon" isn't compatible with this Pack...It removes the smoke launching,ATGM defence system and random numbers scripts for some reason.Maybe a solution can be found, but I have no idea what that would be at this time.I believe its because the pack is tied to the original T-72 in the tracked pbo,but I'm just guessing.I'll ask about it in the NiceBoat thread. -

hmmm..thats weird...as I think "ico" is an icon file, which it doesn't use.:confused:Must be another weird arma thing.I did notice however that if i tried to binarize it,it kick up a fuss.So i left it unbinarized. Its possible that your repacking was doing this also.Binarizing it. -

Version2.0 completed and uploaded. See first post for download -
My tank crews are "highjumping" out of the tanks, and gettin injured. Can someone direct me to WHERE this value is located so I can adjust their height? Is it a config issue or does a new animation need to be done from the port over from Arma 1 to Arma 2.Im tired of the crew naggin me that their leg hurts..hahha.:D

Tank crews "Highjumping"out of tanks
343rdBadger replied to 343rdBadger's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MODELLING - (O2)
Thankyou my fine wooly friend..I think thats the ticket...tweakin it now...not sure exactly how to tweak it but they are aleast jumping from a height that they're not injuring themselves.I'll just have to play with it to get the sweetspot.:bounce3:Thanks again and to everyone else tryin to get this licked. -
Tank crews "Highjumping"out of tanks
343rdBadger replied to 343rdBadger's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MODELLING - (O2)
they should...as its a port over from Arma 1,where the positions were all fine...its only since they were ported to Arma2 that they behave this way.Its not too big a problem,it just means if you get out of the tank alot as a human player...you'll die from injuries eventually even though you weren't shot.Blood loss from broken legs i guess:D -

Better to learn how to unpack pbo's inorder to get the full effect from version one,ie the specular material textures edited...see first post.
