    New bomb,bigger then daisy cutter.

I'm also more impressed with weapons that utilize modern technologies like JDAM & JSOW than a bomb casing stuffed with aluminium & amm. nitrate. Still looks cool though I still want to see footage of a CBU-97 or FAE in action.

    The Forgotten Battles

It does model turbulence, look in the difficulty options page. I personally don't like it, I think it's boring & tedious  I'd trade my left nut to see F4 ported to the IL-2 engine though, the environmental graphics are *lush*  Can anyone explain to me why most of the keys are unbound by default?

Getting real tired of aiming problems.

Sounds like a form of mouse filtering is on. Mouse filtering averages the inputs of the mouse over 2/3 frames so that moving the mouse is smoother, however it's no good for accuracy. Trying to move the mouse small increments will result in any movement at all being cancelled out by the filtering, or only occasional movement being 'detected'. I don't see how it would be enabled/disabled simply by changing the mouse, and an MX700 isn't exactly the kind of optical mouse that you could blame it on ...so...just a thought.

    Helicopter basic tips

Fire up one of the single missions, or make one yourself, in which there are helos. Â Now practice for 30 mins flying at under 10ft, around trees, forests and other obstructions at 200+kt. Then you'll be pretty proficient at flying nap of the earth, and that's all you need to do to defeat AA. Â Pop up from a ridge, fire the hellfire, and then go back down. You can almost simulate popping up just enough for the longbow FCR to track things then firing from a masked position

jesus h christ $35 for a day and 50k rounds? I paid $150 US for like 800 rounds and crappy guns in Australia

    Unreal ii

The graphics are really good, especially with 4xFSAA and 8xAF on. I love the assault rifle, that blue muzzle flash... *dribble* Anyhow, I think it's a helluva lot better than any FPS I've played for 3-4 years. The story isn't very complex but it differs from the usual crap in nice touches like the TCA ship that you get briefs on, the characterisation and so forth. Btw there is absolutely no multiplay in it whatsoever, that's what UT2003 is for.

I have two cards ; but which one is more powerful?

I thought the 9500 was more powerful, but the easiest way to resolve it is to do a 3dmark with each of the cards, it will tell you which is more powerful.

Cant back it up, just a story I heard, but I trust the source.<span id='postcolor'> Maybe they stopped thinking they were being visited because in the conversion they found something equally stupid to believe in. As said before, I believe the sheer number of star systems with planets etc makes it almost a certainty that there is life elsewhere in the universe.

Did some mild overclocking. 2400+ running at 2250 atm, benchmark is 6382. It's cool and running at 1.65v so I reckon I can hit 2400 easily. /me sticks finger up at Intel boys

btw 5800 with 2400+ on a 185 FSB. I'd have it at 200+ but the stupid 8rda+ can't do it stably

Highest is always best. Set it to 8x AF, and see if it compromises FPS severely. If it does, then drop it down to 4x then 2x until you're at the FPS/image quality sweetspot. Personally I think FSAA is more important to OFP because it will take the jaggies out of the models, terrain and vehicle edges. That said, AF is important too because it vastly improves the quality of the trees and other sprites, plus it will eliminate visible banding between levels of mipmapping on the ground in front of you. Depending on the rest of your system specs, I'd probably set it to 2xFSAA 4xAF

    Your opinions on ofps "competition"

Rainbow 6 - hideous graphics, awkward movement, AI that is 100% useless and hasn't even got decent pathfinding routines. BF1942 - *rolls eyes* No comment necessary Ghost Recon: Pretty much as bad as Rainbow 6 but with all the things that made Rainbow 6 semi decent removed e.g mission planning Delta force - Haven't played it in a long time but it was pretty ordinary. Viet Cong - ?

    Fire in the engine compartment?!?

I don't usually go for the engine compartment, but it happens to me all the time. I deliberately try and disable tanks in missions so I can capture them and yet have them still serviceable. Most of the time I just fire LAW's directly at the barrel of the main gun and you hear the 'injured breathing' noise of the crew, and half the time they're dead. If not, repeat as necessary

What would you like to see in ofp2

I would *love* to see infantry and tanks fire at lowflying aircraft when they believe they have a chance of hitting. It's a little unrealistic at the moment being able to whore infantry and tanks from 20ft and not having them shoot back but as soon as you land they recognise you as a legitimate target and shoot back. I would also like to see more AA soldiers or included in the above, RPG soldiers using their RPG/LAW launchers to fire at lowflying aircraft & helos. It's pretty much a turkeyshoot at the moment as soon as you get in the air.

In your opinion, why did humans evolve a need to explain away the basic rules needed to preserve the maximum competitive prowess of the pack (or society)? Do u believe people are basically good?

Firstly I don't think there is such a concept of what is ultimately right or wrong. Ideas like you shouldn't steal, you shouldn't murder etc are a human construct designed to allow us to live as a cohesive community, they don't really have any meaning beyond that. This is, of couse, from an aethiests perspective. Religious people will no doubt disagree because they believe that they're ultimately accountable for their actions, and that the universe is presided over by the relevant god, who is the ultimate judge. People however are intrinsically neither. I think the basic human does whatever is necessary to ensure survival and reproduction. We're no more than sophisticated animals after all. Along the way we've developed moral and ethical codes to allow us to live in a societies which have been further cemented in law so they're the norm and people come to believe that certain things ARE right or wrong...but it's an artificial mindset...
