you guys did a great job on the ah-64 pack! those missions are hard as hell, though... here're my thoughts: -- do the black set (just curious: who uses black apaches?) -- maybe update the textures for the green set? marfy's website has a tutorial showing how to add detail to a texture to make it look more realistic! -- is it possible to disable the pilot/copilot's ability to eject? -- use laser's AH64 pilots once they are released! again, awesome work!!

quite frankly, I'd rather have BIS focus on the things that can't be done by the community (improving mp, giving us more options with addon and mission making, better individual ai, etc.) if BIS had to make everything in AA as good as (or better than) ofp's best addons, they would never finish the game.

is it a full conversion to BAS units, or does it just use the Tonal island?

i'm surprised ofp got that high; i very much doubt that would've happened if it were a US mag. because blizzard doesn't make cash cows; they take their time and make sure the game is good. that's why everyone loves them, and its the same reason the ofp community loves BIS.

wow thats really weird, i thought i was going to have an unpopular opinion with choosing green-white-green! i'd keep the cross, i think the gold of the cross goes well with the gold of the island, and makes the flag seem more realistic (ie, it references the people of everon) these flags are supposed to be for everon!

CSJ: i remember really liking COMBAT!'s .50 cal sounds, and SEBNam's M60 sounds (the one's on their Huey's), so check those out! edit: when i searched for "grenade launcher" on findsounds.com, i found this and this. idk if either sounds like the real deal, though, so i guess i'll have to search for the boat or something... edit2: when i searched for "20 mm" i came across this.

be able to run around with an rpg, be able to run around with 2 rifles (one in your hand, one on your back). gear/weapons should be less about "slot-size" and more about r/l size and weight.

i got an error a few times while being inserted via mi17 on my first mission: "_x domove [_newposx, _newposy]# error type Any, expected Number" we got rpg'd at the LZ, so i couldn't tell you if it happened the next time as well

i was having the same problem; what i did was de-pbo the mission and take out those 2 addons from the addon requirements (i think what happened was the person who converted the mission to CSLA was using those addons, and they got saved in the mission.sqm by accident) edit: i uploaded a fixed version: http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1YKIIWGEMUPNO1E5J6VSRBPSL3

i was just wondering if anyone knew why BIS decided to take out the ability to setpos/deletevehicle island objects (such as trees) in resistance... thanks!

what time will the saturday game start at? also, i think you should allow for a large number of players (~20); it really sucks when you want to play a specific mission but you have just 1 person more than the mission allows.

i think everybody who's played ofp has dreamed of that mission; the problem is that the computers we have now can't handle that level of complexity. the only thing we can do until the hardware catches up with our ideas is to "fake" it as best as we can; for example, bn880's AIonDemand only has units created when the player is near, so that the mission-designer can simulate more units in the mission than the player's computer would be able to handle at once. edit: i'm not saying its impossible to create that kind of mission, i'm just saying its going to be damn hard...

also, you can use sanctuary's "crouch-ready" anims; look about midway down this page for pictures of guys crouching: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....;st=390 sanct explains how to get the anims working in that post.

for that you'll want to ask Phaeden (and maybe IT.Q); idk how often he uses these forums, but you're guaranteed to reach him over at the WGL forums: http://www.squadengine.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1419 he's on vacation now though, so you'll have to wait until he gets back or talk to IT.Q (idk if he has the authority though).

that's what my friends say about ofp the worst for me is the slang everybody uses: fb, ab, cc, ei, et, ea, all of the town abbreviations, and all of the vehicle names; it always takes me a few days to re-learn the language i'm pretty sure it is not possible, though i could be wrong.
