    Ai attacks an empty unit

    Multiple trigger

    Hi I'd like to set up a trigger where on a condition being met a helicopter evacuation begins at the same time as a column of enemy tanks begins moving, at which point a squadron of planes attacks the tanks.... What is the best way of achieving this?

    Ai attacks an empty unit

    Hi! I'm working on a mission where Resistance forces have captured a SCUD launcher - The only prob is that the AI resistance troops attack it and I don't want them to! The SCUD has been placed on the map as an empty unit - anyone have any ideas on how to stop them from destroying it?

    Yet another ofp wish list!

    Hi everyone! I've been coming across a few posts with players' views on the longevity of OpFlash - my own opinion on this is that with all the mission editing and modding etc possible, this game will be around for a good while yet! I've been playing since December 2001, and I feel I have only just scratched the surface of its potential - the general quality of the graphics and environments explains why the US government are so interested in adapting the idea for military use! Anyway - I also found a preview of a game called Battlefield 1942 on GameSpy which was raving about the fact that battles could take place simultaneously on land,sea and in the air - for OFP players, this is no big news... Along these lines, I thought it might be nice to suggest a couple of units that would be lovely in the game: CH-130 Hercules transport plane B52 bomber Bear bomber various US fighter planes : F16, FA18, F15, F14, Phantom etc Russian MiGs Submarines Aircraft carriers Battleships More Russian small arms Just a thought! What does everyone out there think? Best wishes DarkMan

I've designed a map using Ebud's excellent Jungle Everon 1.20 Island as the setting - I would like to make it into a Team DeathMatch type game with one of the sides declared winner when they have got a certain amount of kills etc...as there is no wizard template for the island (well, not that I can find one!, does anyone have any suggestions of how I can script it or where I can find a good TDM tutorial...     Hi Copperhead! Thanks for the reply to my message - I would love to be able to use the wizard, but my map takes place on the Jungle Everon 1.20 custom Island and there are no templates for it to merge with that I can find... Any idea what I should do next? DarkMan

    Team deathmatch scripting?

    Hi everyone! What a great forum this is - you're all so helpful! My map-making has improved immensely since I started visiting this site... Anyway, I've designed a map and I'd like to make it into a Team Deathmatch type game with East against Resistance...I guess as I've already set up the map, using a wizard will be no use, so could anyone point me to a good tutorial or give any advice on this...I've looked at the ofpec.com tutorial, but it only covers free-for-all DM play as far as I can see...   8. HI! I've gone and done something really really dumb! I've changed the application to handle .ext files to Notepad in Folder Options (Windows XP Home) - and now OpFlash won't recognise them when I export my missions - I've tried reverting but it doesn't seem to do anything...how can I get them to work again?...now the description.ext files of the maps I'm making aren't loaded! Please help - I'm desperate! DarkMan

    Resistance respawn

    Hi! I'm makiing a Multiplayer DM map with East against Resistance forces - I've given each base the following marker names: East : Respawn_East Resistance: Respawn_West and set respawn in the description.ext file to "Base" The only prob is that the east forces respawn in their base correctly, but the Resistance respawn where they died - how can I change this so that they start in their base as I had intended?     Mission Objectives

    Hi Everyone! Nearly finished my first mission thanks to all the help from this forum...but now I need to know one last thing to complete it! How do you set up mission objectives in the briefing/debriefing section? I've managed to create triggers OK for my objectives, but how do I configure them properly? In my map, the two objectives are to assassinate a character then blow up some choppers - how do I get the ticks to appear once these have been carried out? Also, I had to create individual triggers for each of the 5 helos to be destroyed as they were empty units on the map and hence could not be grouped - is that right? Look forward to hearing from you Dark

    Ending a mission

    Hi everyone! Just a couple of quick questions... I'm designing a mission where the objectives are to; 1 :assassinate an AI character 2 :destroy a group of helicopters using satchel charges 3 :escape to a pre-defined extraction point I know I will need "ending" type triggers to set this up, but am not sure how to use them exactly..can anybody help me with this so that when the first two objectives are met, then the third one if completed ends the mission... How could I get my group of AI soldiers to plant and detonate the satchel charges - what sort of script should I use? Also, anyone know of any in-depth tutorials on how to st up briefing files- I'd like to use the nice links you see on others' maps which will tae you to the correct spot on the map when clicked on (like villages and objectives etc) Look forward to hearing from you Dark

    A couple of easy questions!

    Hi everyone! Couple of quick questions.... How can I adjust mission success parameters? for example I would like mine to have been won when a specific enemy soldier has been neutralised and some choppers blown up...Any ideas guys? How can you lengthen the time between waypoints used by AI units...ie add a delay before the next action is carried out? Finally, how can you make units like SpetNatz use their satchel charges to blow stuff up? Look forward to hearing from you! DarkMan

    Chopper Insertion

    One other thing though... The tutorial worked really well, but how can I adapt it to an MP mission - when I export my map and test it the chopper powers up and flies off on it's own if the AI leader is not selected...ie he's giving the orders to load all the cargo soldiers. What can I do to make it so that if real players were trying the map, the chopper would wait for them all to get in and then fly to the destination and unload... Also, how do you then make the chopper actually land back at base and not hover over it? Hope anyone can help Best wishes Dark
