    Well don't have OA yet (on it's way) and have to say that that's a slight improvement over the ArmA2 manual , but a keyboard TEMPLATE would be much easier to use and more intuitive.

    Still can't see why a simple thing as a keyboard template (so you don't have to keep flipping pages) couldn't have been incorporated.

    (and flipping pages isn't really all that much work,it's just that you have to divert your attention from the keyboard to do it and the damn book keeps folding shut..at least the ArmA2 did).

    I know what you mean about a template as Joint Operations had one and it helped, but it would cost a bit more and take some of their money they could use to get better manual print etc.

    anyway you could use a thing called a Scanner if you have the manual or print the pages from that pdf and make your own keyboard template :P not hard.

    Well after playing arma 2 on a dutch server lastnight iam perfectly happy with my arma 2 :) i got over 500 points taking one city as they kept taking it back. I was able to call in two tactical nukes, the first took loads of apc's, trucks and tanks out and the second took down all the buildings in the city, i even had a crowd watching as all the players moved to the hills to watch :D was a good laugh...want more.

    How is that immature to judge somebody by the games they have played ? it shows the genres they like and their style of play, hinting to the type of person they are. i think i took what you said the wrong way, as normally iam having to defend arma from bad comments from ofp2 fans and bad press. What i was rly doing was giving my opinion on why it may have more fans without much publicity yet in the second part i was saying.

    Was in the morning i posted that so was half asleep anyway :P

    When i talk to people i knwo about ARMA 2 and OPFDR they ask this..

    "Wtf is ARMA2? or ARMA1? never heard of it"

    This is the same when i post news of the ARMA on other forums.

    OPFDR hasn't even really began advertising properly and it already has more fans than ARMA 2

    Well considering looking at your xfire bar your playing sims 3, played the most of mount and blade & call of duty kinda explains your imature rply simply.

    Can i just say that simply due to a game having more fans does not make it a better game, if you look back many games that have mass fans are normally over hyped. Assassins Creed had loads of fans, an extreme amount till it was released then they left. oh also OPF2 is coming out as multi platform so that kinda lowers it in most ways, anything multi platform is always gone very wrong in an area/s.

    oh and REXinator many of the fans will be LITTLE kids mostly from consoles that act like gits when it comes to 2 same styled games.

    Those saying it looks better now should admit that it really doesnt, it looks barren and flat just like OPF.

    If this gives people some much needed extra fps then it can be seen as a good thing but on the other hand this is not how the game was meant to be played and now that someone figured this out it will be abused..

    Can you see the irony? everyone praised those ugly grass field mods for OPF... BIS made something much better and now everyone hates it.

    Next step, replace Sahrani models with OPF models because they were less system demanding too?

    No players dont not like it, its just some of use have lowe grade computer so arnt able to play well due to lag, with this we are able to play better.

    Stop being so bossy people can do what they want with their games, if they wnated to change the models to OPF models then they can do just that.

    I am not so imprest by the demo i think it would have been better if it was singleplayer, anyway their where loads of weird things going on like blownup hummves bing driven, no textures on buildings and quite alot more. I just hope when i get the german version i will like it more then the demo. oh one thing i dont like about Armed Assault is the gun sounds they sound like little kids toy gun's no sound of power from them. But i hope their will be so rly good sound packs out sometime soon.

    I personally think it's very SICK of people to post videos of real event remakes of our soldier's and iraq's being shot in a game for our entertainment. But what is even more sick is how people find it funny. We should respect our soldiers not do these sort of things, this is what i find wrong with people these days. Nobody in the world would like to be laghed at and made entertainment because they got shot or blown up. mad_o.gif

    You may say but look at Call of Duty 2, ect but they do it in a way to teach use to respect and be happy for what we have, NOT in the sick way these IRAQ remakes do it.

    Just to point out i am talking about the videos on YouTube of remakes of iraq using Armed Assault.

    And what do you want? Videos where 1 US specop kills 100 OPFOR and blows up 10 T-72?

    Looks like you want conflict where US is with victory but where they loose dont show in game? maybe by Call of Duty 2 you dont respect german soldiers in WW2! Alot of people for example want game as Call of Duty 2 but playing on german side... And who said that somebody is laughing at those videos made in ArmA. If US not doing great job in Iraq does this mean you should hide it?

    You should re-read what i said becuase you clearly havent read it properly.

    @Preacher1985 Why are you going on about heros i am not talking about heroes so what you said aint rly valid and as for you saying lock this thread, why should it when we are talking about videos when you are the one going off topic?

    I can't find the vide..but what is it really about? Somebody shooting civilians or footage of ingame war scene? If its shooting civies then I completely agree,thats just plain wrong.

    Its remakes of gunmen shooting americans but remade in Armed Assault.

    Your saying then that its bad to lagh at civies getting shot and made entertainment on youtube but its okay for soldiers, you do know soldiers are human not fodder. The people we should be doing these videos of is Mr Bush and most other leaders, but its sort of getting of topic then

    How can you say its from their point of view when the real life videos where from their side. not remaking them from a game, if you want to see this stuff you should watch the real videos, i have seen them. and you may not find it not funny but go onto youtube and look up a armed assault video of iraq then look at the comments. Entitled to their opinion yeas, i wasnt saying they cant i was saying it was a sick opinion. how can you say its like any war film, war films are made to show things that cant be remade making videos of videos isnt the same and no its not visual art.

    I have been looking at getting Armed Assault, loads of people i know in my clan have it (it's torcher hearing it) but it's a german version using the english patch. What i would like to know from the people that have the german patched with the english patch, is it worth buying now, does it have none english parts like video clip parts or would it be better to wait for the UK release. Another question is i read from a dev that the Feb release version will have more stuff, will the german version be given it too ?
