Yes I think the problem is on FT side because the software is not in development any more last version is dated more than year ago so forget new models of camera or better support for new OS. :mad: This is it we have what we have and can use it until it will be fully outdated. PS3 eye have great potential but there is no support for it in FT and it won’t be only if developers start working on FT again. I’m willing pay for such software but not without support so my donation is steel on hold. So far looks like Microsoft Lifecam VX-1000 is best buy option easy remove IR filter and cost about 15€ and it is no big cost if you turn it only in FT IR receiver. It could run 640x480 at 30fps with small usage of CPU. -

Any news about Sony PS3 eye? Is someone making it work with FreeTrack on 120 fps 320x240 and 60fps 640x480 in the end? I’m interested in full possibilities of PS3 eye not just 30fps because I’m already have such camera. -

Lep pozdrau to my North West neighbour. :bounce3: Did you file down top of your led? If you are not do it. It will expand your angle on Led and doo it almost to the metal parts inside 1mm above is more than enough. As close you come to this + and – metal parts inside Led you will got wider angle what provide stable light contact with camera when you turn head a side and reducing jitter. Jitter you also reducing true set up your profile I was also having some problems with turning my head but got fix it true profile now just slit movement of my head turn one on screen by 180 deg. But playing with profile can be baggiest problem with tracking systems including TracIR. Pleas tell us how much CPU eat PS3 Eye? -

Alain could you organized at Saturday some major testing on RiP server? The best way to see how it really functioning is playing in full scale. I’m interested in such experiment playing so you can send invitation over this post just says time when to come and possible TS. After playing we could have sort of beefing to compare experience and observations. Cheers. -

This is Team based game where wining those who better playing as team not as individuals. Only what in the end counts is Team score in the end what is count for victory in the end. Why wasting time and efforts on individual score when this is not important at all. Sometime individual players have to sacrifice for benefit of team and maybe he don’t have opportunity to make some significant individual score but his role in his team victory is crucial. Therefore I think we just need Team score and maybe squad score nothing else. We need squad organized system similar as PR maybe like on Evolution map where you requesting to join in some players squad without AI of course only PvP version. -

Nice to see you back Dr. ;) We were trying to play your map but have some problems from beginning. We was have some Beam me up Scotty problems. Chopper gets us to the land turn back to pick up more people but suddenly we are again on the carrier before chopper get back to carrier and we didn’t lost live it was just real Star Trek teleport. -
You have to run it over dedicated server this bug is work only if you server and client in same game. you have to run armaserver then run arma and join on your server this should be work than. ;) ---------- Post added at 02:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:50 PM ---------- If you kill me once more I'll tell you to my Mama uaaaaa :rolleyes: ---------- Post added at 03:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:56 PM ---------- Try ATOW or AGW server you should have ping no higher than 70. I'm from Europe and have 100 more but works fine for me. BTW one more thing for all of you. If we want to improve team play and play it more organized encourage people to use build in voip and try to avoid TS. Experienced players should take command and create some groups and give orders. It’s the same on TG coop when no one organized play mission is doomed from beginning so we should organized teams similar like in coop if we want to work.

PR2 is already decided goes on new C4 graphic engine. That means they go commercial too. PR2 will be game for itself not mod any more. But first payable Beta we can expect for at least 2 year if everything goes perfectly well. This is rootles reality and what could happened in that period who knows. Whisper good luck with your MAAS you should check Devastation AAS2 it was made before for ArmA1 but it have some good solutions you should check it. Interest shown on servers who is running AAS map from CoolBox-SBS- (name of man who create mod and most of map design) showing that ArmA community is hungry and desperate for proper PvP mod. I will love that you guys put your heads together and work together. More heads are smarter than just one. You are weaker acting alone didn’t ArmA teach you that everything is in Team work. Think about it every one of you people like whisper, CoolBox, Dr.Eyeball, Barmy Army and other ATOW guys, IC ArmA guys and other who work on similar stuff but sorry I don’t know your name. PR developers team is such good example how things should be done. Cheers guys. ;)

Cheers Hoak. Look Hoak. Nobody force them to like ArmA if they don’t their problem, I don’t care. If they want to stay in “stone age†with their BF2 engine let them be. Like I say this is for those who playing ArmA2 or planning to play it in the future. I don’t want to talk nothing against PR in fact I’m coming from there in PR’s beginning and even today sometime play it with my friends but ArmA is unique game and love it more. Right now I want to inform those who like ArmA2 and PvP play there is AAS (Advance and Secure) map out on some servers. It is made by JO AAS role model just like PR was in the beginning but plans for the future are much more than PR is right now. First impressions are very good and lately servers are full (32 players for now) so you can try it on AGW server for regular and on “ATOW Arma2 server DeDi†for expert level. For those who don’t read and continuously forcing some opinions without any argument to prow their theory I have to quote myself if you talking about superiority of PRM voip comparing with ArmA voip. If someone claim this give some facts so I will believe you if your arguments are right. For now voip in game are based on standard voip technology build in Windows or DirectX and just implement in game. That means that voip in Bf2, PRM, ArmA or Super Mario (if have it at all) are the same. Only difference is how it is implementing in game itself and here the ArmA is absolute winner. ArmA have 6 separate voip channels and for writing communication to and they are: Direct channel – Communication with both sides Side channel – Communication just with your army Command channel – Communication with command Group channel – Communication with your unit squad what ever Vehicle channel – Communication inside vehicle Direct channel – Communication outside radio To explain Direct channel this is when character talk to other character like it is directly inside game you can hear where he is exact location if his voice coming from left, right, front or behind far or close and one more if those who talk with you is in your visual you can see how he open and close his mouth like the character really talk with you. There is not issue here PvP against Coop. I like to play Coop too but more like to play PvP. ArmA already have Best Coop in the world but don’t have proper PvP at all. We are not against Coop but we want proper playable PvP too and you who like Coop treating us like we are yours enemies. Good PvP will bring more people to the community what’s mean more potential Coop players too and more populated server’s whit more fun.

ArmA2 have 6 in build separate channels which work perfectly since ArmA1 and how many channels have BF2? I'm playing PR from its beginning and was participating in first 5 campaigns of PRT so I know exactly how BF2 PR is functioning and when playing it with my friends we using TS because BF2 voip is crap. Problems with communication are mostly because of individual’s bad hardware or people not using it at all what is shame because good communication is base of good team play. Next time don’t rush too much with wrong conclusion. Here we are not comparing ArmA with PR we are talking about do we need something like PR on ArmA engine or not and we are not discussing who is better or comparing PvP with Coop. Arma is simply best game with coop mod on internet and that’s fact and out of discussion but other fact is that ArmA don’t have good PvP mod and that is what we discussing here. When we create PR for ArmA then and only then we will comparing PR BF2 with PR ArmA.

As I say it before almost all that feature exist in some maps but they are not merged to create one good mod all are out there individually we need to unite efforts to create standard mod like PR. True but PR is steel more payable and user friendly. We need to do something to use this possibility. ArmA2 right now just offering possibilities not solutions.

ArmA have better in built voip system than PR, better graphic, more complex movement, more weapons, real ballistic (something what PR DEV steel just dreaming), huge map possibilities are much much better then in PR but ArmA have one big disadvantage. ArmA don’t have PR! Right now we have several scripts in ArmA community which simulating some PR features but everyone is separately. If we are established mod team and bring all that people in one place to work together we could have better mod than PR is now even all that what they wish to do in PR2 in about 2 month. PR2 is going commercially and if everything goes smoothly as they plan it will be in public for at least 2 years. So what are we waiting for? :confused: We can have PR2 right now. :cool:
