hmmmm this post is about infantry units and thier uniforms............. In the first post CAM says he will update his 101st guys.............. Airborne is infantry...........we were talking about infantry units and thier uniforms.......... maybee i am just wrong

Yeah, except here's what they take away from us: -Jumpboots -Berets for NCOs and officers -Unit insignia -Jumpwing backing (oval) And i think a couple of other things, that I have forgotten. That's almost criminal. 82nd has entire battalions of legs, mostly the aviation and STB guys. Hehe well the best thing is that you can at least wear it on your ERB But what do the Privates get then if only NCOs and Officers wear berets? The old Garrison Cap? But the Aviation guys.... I don't knock too much. Â They may be "leg" but a gun run from an Apache may save the day No, get this...E-4 and below get berets of their respective color, except the Green which will then no longer be found on the Class-A Â uniform. *edit* I was saying the NCO's and Officers lose their berets. Instead, it's ye Olde Cap as seen in ancient days of yore. Not the garrison cap, but the full high hat thing, I don't know what it's called stupid campaign hat...... would you like a picture of mine......

The majority of the IA, IP, ICDC, and ING have a variety of uniforms and equipment. To be honest we had a big bin of surplus gear that looked like it was DXed years ago. that's what was given to them. everything from green and desert IBAs to ALICE suspenders and pouches. The actual gear of any of these units is dependant on the unit that trained them or is responsible for them or thier AO. The base uniform is the chocolate chips and level IV vests for the regulars, but they are now recieving ACUs in odd sized and in small batches for special units. The most prevelant thing is its kinda funny to see them walking around with M-16A2s now. Hard adjustment for all of us. We are supposed to confiscate all RPGs when found. even from the IA

That's messed up. It's like the changes coming out for the "new" Class As that completely take away from Airborne/Special Forces/Rangers. could be worse.... i am stuck in an "Airborne" unit and have not jumped in 5 years damn near every one of my soldeirs rode a helicopter for the first time leaving BIAP for our FOB

i made some canadian place holders They are not very acurate models but my CADPAT came out very nice. If you would like the PSDs just PM me and i would be glad to donate then to your MOD. I think they would be good starters for you.

Miles i in no way meant ti insult or point out deficiencies in the VTE stuff. I use thier aircraft all the time in my missions (except the mig-19 it dances on the ground) i was just pointing out they are Beta and need to be completed. i think the textures look fine and if you want to see every rivit on the A-6 then go to the museum. I liek the OFP stuff. When was the last time you were playing a mission as the SLA and when the damn harrier showed up and blasted your ass the detail of the light on the rear vertical stabilizer was important. it still comes back to if you dont like the product. don't download it and leave the people alone that made it.

My comment seems sooo stupid now that I googled on the Wolverines... I assume you refer to the Red Dawn 1984 movie? Sorry  I have not seen the movie myself, but will surely catch up on that. a while back i saw a tornado in the WIp stuff that would be good fr RACS.. ala Saudi Arabia. That still needs a desperate opening for an aircraft for the SLA beside the Su-34. MiG 23 would be the best. Bushwars was working on one but with the vast scope of thier project and news from some of thier own releases we will not see any of that till Arma2 CheyanneAH64 was working on a yak-38 in another forum

one othe thing is int he AO all personnel are required to wear thier IR flag on the right shoulder....no colored flags in theater (or at least supposed to be)

Great work! Just one thing though you may want to add M-16A2s in the nest release as the INP, ICDC, and IA are being issued M-16s to replace thier AKMs. As for now the PKM will stay for a shor period to be used at TCPs

when you say total conversion mod will it be like the VTE stuff that ooverwrites your default arma screens and then some other mods that overwrite the default bis vehicles? or like Vilas has done in the past a series of addOns that give the opportunity to create a whole new "episode" in war

Ways off? You do not have any idea how many progress we made with our SAMs. How are yours progressing? Looks like you havent tried enough "im sure" to make the OFP sidewinder to work. Â well sorry to flame bait but you post no news of your stuff yet you tout it all the time. The website has not been updated scince Christmas. Also, if anybody asks you for news you freak out and complain about how we all need to be patient and stay off your backs. If i had any sort of skills in this besides the basics i would join your mod because you guys have some great models. Unfortunatley not many add ons but some great models. I dont want to start a huge fight here. My ported add on works ok except my stupid turret wont turn. It no where near the quality of the better add on makers out here like Mecha, vilas, topas and others.

well it no longer kicks up the error but all the other pages still show up? how do i hide those buttons

that is the Mk14 in naval service i think in the army is is still M-14 EBR. Though the majority of the ones in our unit and all of the ones in my company still have walnut or plastic simulated wood stocks, a Knights Armament scope rail (replaces upper handguard and locks onto rear of reciever) and a harris bipod. As i stated befor the M-14 was brought into our units as a designated marksman rifle, unfortunately there is a shortage of M-4 rifles at our unit level, therefore the M-14 is being used as a primary for our leg infantry.

i would kiss som serious ass for a SAM unit..... i know RSKL has ne in the works but thats still a ways off i am sure. I would settle for a crappy OFP import with the sidewinder launcher configed in it...... i tried it but i couldnt get it to work , i am not that good with configs
