    Mandoble Thank you so much for the reply i appreciate the help very much If i may ask can i use all the sripts in Arma as is or do i need to make modifications ( Sorry i dont know much about scripting)? If you could help me it would be much appreciated and if i could ask one further question how can i get the AI to call in a CAS strike? Thanks in advance

Gents Forgive of me for asking this question i have spent the last two weeks searching for this answer and looking up at opec site etc i have tried what has been suggested and to no avail does it work Could someone please tell how di i get a unit to sit on a chiaor and to lean over a table, if any one could spare me a moment then that would be most appreciated thanks
  7. Gentlemen Thank you i finally got the bloke to sit on the ammo box it is a pity about the chairs though had a bit of a laugh unitl i figured out that you had to call the ammo box "bench" Anyway thank you all for the help

    Trigger camera.

    Hi there mate Have perhaps tried putting the following in the activiation part of the trigger opfor1 exec "cam1.sqs" opfor1 = leader of the grooup who activates the trigger cam1 = is the name of your camera script I take it that you have aready setup your camera I hope that this helps and if i am wrong then i am sorry i am also a newbie at editing
  11. Hi there The question i would like to raise with the forum is why is the Newbie Sections are never updated!! (Editors Database /New to Armed Assualt Editing), i have asked a few questions here in the forum and either i am ignored or i am told to search the forum or the wiki (which is generally the first thing i do) But yet when we go to the these sections of the forum they are never updated or they refer to OFP commands which are often misleading I am sure that i am not the only newbie that feels the same way Please do not misinterpret this post as i am not having a go at anybody in particular.

  13. I have been trying to get a unit to sit on a chair and an ammo box as well as a bonnet of HMMV I am using the following in a trigger : Unit1 setpos [(getpos this select 0), (getpos this select 1), 1]; Unit1 switchmove "Crew" Could someone please point me in the right direction

I have been searching the post and i cant find anywhere that tells you on how to create your own custom radio sounds, with the exception of the one post that points you in the direction to a website What i would like to know is how to get the voice sound to sound if it is coming over a radio etc if any one can point in the right dirction it would be most appreiated Thanks in adavance
  15. Hi there all I am trying to find a set of Radio Comms Procedures so that i can make up a stringtable of radio communications,of which i am quite prepared to release here on the forum. Just that some of the Radio Voices are incorrect in arma and dont follow a standard millitary comms protocol and yes i am searching the web Any help would much appreciated

Good Day All I have read most of the posts on how to get a speech file into Arma which i have followed and done In my mission folder i have a file called Sound I have a description.ext file ( i used Chopse) The Description file lookslike this at the moment <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> class CfgSounds { Â sounds[] = Â Â Â { Â Â Â Â v1, Â Â Â }; Â Â class v1 Â Â { Â Â Â name = "v1"; Â Â Â sound[] = {"\sound\v1.ogg",db +40, 1.0}; Â Â Â titles[] = { Â }; Â }; Â }; In the sound file i have a v1 lip file and v1 ogg file When i go into the game and put a unit with some way points and in the activation field i put Unit1 say "v1" Nothing Happens no sound nothing Could somebody please help me and point me in the right direction I have noticed that in the wapoint if i go to effects and then to sound i can see the v1 but still nothing is happening Thanks in advance

    @ deanosbeano Thnks for the response i have tried using your code and still i get no sound no talking I am using the following programs Create the Wav file in GoldWave - then save then use dmbWaveConvertor - then save file as ogg then use ofp sound lab to create - lipp file I dont why or what i am doing wrong

  20. Hi there all Just wanted to know has anyone figured out on how to use the studio obeject in ARMA ? What i want know is: 1. how to use the reporter 2. how to add someone to the studio object 3. how to add the camera to a person As i would like to use this in a intro Anyhelp would be much appreciated and valued Thanks in advance
  21. Sorry Mate I think what he meant by the Axis A "0" & Axis B "0" Is that the trigger axis is supposed to be 0 in the pic u sent the trigger axis is 50 just tryin to help
  22. @Hailo Your Idea for your next script sounds awesome and would be a really great assest to the game, certianly for mission editors as this would save time. I have run your script and i am totally inspired by it and cant wait to use in my sp missions (i dont know how to make MP Missions yet) If you dont mind me asking how can i get the choppers to come in and pick me up when activating your script is there some type of command that i need to put in the helicopters init field or do i need a script? Please could you explain to me on how i would do this ? Sorry just that i am new and am trying to learn Thanks in advance

Hi there all @ Victor Sorry to trouble but would the above mentioned scripts work in single player mode and if so could you tell me how to run it As i undestand you need a Game logic called server and from there i am totally lost Sorry i am still very wet behind the ears wheni tcomes to editing @ all old hand and scripting vetrans I really take my hat off to guys and i just wanted to say thanks for the hard work you guys do
