No, missionmakers just have to use custom sounds sparingly. Sounds boring if every mission based on old things  . If there's no possibility for larger file sizes I won't take part at this competition.  Cya... Edit: It seems that everyone is crying about large mission files - but big addon packages are still ok! I can't understand this. You want good missions? Then let the missionmakers work! If not, you will get "bullshit" to play. That's my statement. More KBs or MBs don't make a mission good. And anyway, why don't you make your own sound and voice addon and use it in your mission. I don't see any rule that prohibits this. -
How about minus votes? Instead of giving your vote to a party, give a 'minus' vote to a party. So that specific party looses one vote; that's for the people who don't like every party, so they can just choose which party they don't like most. Â Â

There's one thing about addons missions I thought of... What about addons that weren't released before submission of the mission? So let's say someone releases his addons shortly before submitting his mission. What about those addons/missions? -
If the FDP actually sticked to their program and didn't always bow to their coalition partner, then they'd be a nice party. That's the problem with the FDP: They only argument with economy and tax policy in the public, not about liberal ideas, and they often enough bow before the bigger parties.

@denoir the liberals weren't in the EP because they haven't reached 5% of votes in Germany. And I voted for the liberals once more; I hope that, if they get into the parliament, they vote against software patents.

I always though that there is a difference between "null voting" and "not voting": If you don't vote, then your vote is not counted and therefore the moron's vote is "doubled". If you null vote, your vote is counted, but not given to any politician/party and therefore it's not doubling the moron's power. I hope you can confirm this because this was the reason why I wanted to null vote.

In Germany it's 13/6, too (traditionally they are always on sundays). Beside this, we have also communal(?) elections in Stuttgart, so I have to vote twice. But I have to admit that I won't vote for any of the available parties, nevertheless I'm gonna vote. Traditionally I am voting liberal, but I don't trust any parties in Germany anymore. The same goes for my girl-friend, but I'm trying to convince her to make a null vote like me.

I've got other sorrows, so no public alpha for now. As for the F-117 it gets a completely new model since the old model had a lot of flaws. I'm getting better at modelling and learning so I can improve it.

I just came back and I have to do a lot for university this week. The pilot will not be finished this month, as I'm waiting for some really detailed photos of USAF pilots. What I could do is release the Alpha-version, which doesn't have a vest and has some errors, well, if you ask nice

Open the PBO in a Hex-Editor and look for a convert.bin Then change the convert.bin into any other string which has the same length, i.e. convert.bin -> blablab.bin It has to have the same length, then you'll be able to "decrypt" those "encrypted" addons. Credits to Lester for this "trick".

Daylight/sunset lighting

I think that this is hard coded in the Engine, so you can't change it neither with scripts nor with a config entry. I would like to see the sunset sometimes just dark blue and no red tones. -

That's possibly because Streetlamps are defined in CfgNonAIVehicles. This streetlamps actually work nice; Streetlamps which you can set in the map editor, have to be defined in CfgVehicles. Sadly, they are then nothing more than a fire, which you have to set with "this inflame true".

It makes no sense if OFP 2 was released before OFP 1 on XBox... How can someone put a release date of July which is far away from end of this year, beginning of next year? Unless CM and BIS really surprise use (and this would be an Uber-Surprise!) -
I had such a problem, as I tried to use proxies that are bigger than the model without the proxy. Perhaps try something like this: Make a vertex or a small face that is invisible at the point/line where your gate will be when it is fully open. (in your normal resolution LODs)

Hello all, I created some airport-textures and release it as an ACES-project (ACES = AirCraft Equipment Standard, something like JAM for planes). This addon is intented to be used by island creators, but first some pictures: You may download the textures and a sample island under Airport Textures and Sample Island Some info: The textures are 512x512 in size and they are compatible with Nogova's dark grass texture (t1.paa). You may use them freely, you may modify them and you may take them out of the PBO and put into another PBO. It would be nice if you could give others the same rights to the derived work, but it is not mandatory.

I planned to make different versions anyway, like Nogova Desert (the same base texture as Nogova Airport). But they are not as complete as the released version; of course I could make an Everon version, it's just swapping the base texture :-)

I would pay full retail price for removing some basic engine limitations like missiles on wheeled vehicles and multi-proxies on aircraft; of course I would take other stuff like updated scripting engine and the terrain streaming.

The BTR-60 was made by Norsu and there is a standalone version of it. It was released even before FDF was released.
