  1. At least you can still buy it from atari.com/us as a box or a download. Buying the box from atari is a good last resort I find if you don't want to download and you can't find the box anywhere else.
  2. Check out this announcement that Mattlab just made on AtariCommunity.com about shipping games to Canada from Atari.com/us Looks like you Canadians can get the game from Atari.com/us if you do not want to download it from them you can now also get the box from them.

Just found out.... Wanted to warn everyone... DO NOT INSTALL THE BETA if you have DIGITAL DOWNLOAD from Atari.com/us or elsewhere.... IT breaks your game and asks you to reactivate. THEY BETTER FIX THIS FOR THE FINAL VERSION OF THE PATCH OR ELSE!!!!!!!

Atari has a 24/7 support number you can call for more activations. They posted it on their official forums over at ataricommunity.com

    Retail Store Availability?

The game is not a 30 day rental from Atari. You pay the regular price and you get to play it forever. The 30 day timeperiod is just how long have to download it to your computer unless you get eds which extends it to 2 years. You can of course save the downloaded files to a cd and that would then essentially be a backup.

    Retail Store Availability?

You don't need to buy the extended download service. It just means you can download the game for up to 2 years otherwise you only have 30 days. Otherwise it works like a normal download and downloads the game to your computer. You get 2 activations per game. I did it myself and it works fine. It is not Sprocket it is Atari's own service and it works fantastically.

No issues and I also read on their official forums that anyone in US, Mexico, Canada, or Puerto Rico can buy the download from Atari.com/us so good news for all you Canada peeps. Confirmed release dates and countries.

Atari.com/arma says May 1, 2007 is the official release date. That is also when Atari.com/us will be carrying the Digital Download on their site. I think that information is reliable as it comes from http://www.atari.com/arma the official site for the US release.
