What takes the most time when designing missions?

That's true! :D -

OP: Others. The testing takes the most time in my opinion. Scripts come as second place. The hard thing (with the Arma engine) is that you have to make situations work 100%. There are 1000 ways the situations could run through - especially when AI is involved... :( They always do something different... :) -
That ^ should set this miserable discussion about how unrealistic and out of place the chopper is and [other moaning subjects] are to an end.

Arma 2: Namalsk Crisis
Undeceived replied to Sumrak's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Sumrak! This is such a GREAT project! Absolut madness! :) :) And this all in such a high quality, I really want to thank you for this excellent mod! And beside that - it is refreshing to play the girl. :D Again, thank you for your work, one really can see the huge amount of work that has been put in the whole project! -

Hehe :D Btw. I found the respective picture - but only as thumbnail: -
Yes! At the first roof top kill I thought: Hm, the Ragdoll seems a bit exagerated as the guy seemed to fly away a bit. But the second and third kills were perfect: The enemies just fell like a potato sack. But even then they fell "physically correct" (ragdollish).

Oh yes, that's part of the hair story! :D Thanks for the link! Edit: It's funny how this "myth" simply came back to rememberence after 5 years! Or on the other hand: I think it never was away - in the course of the years this story always came back to my mind too. :) -

No no, that's not the right one!! :) The right one has another photo of Ondrej with his special haircut and it says "I rock my hair with Armed Assault" or something like that. :D It's from the very early Arma 1 times. -
Yes, I know. ;) Well, let's see how they make it. Only reason I began with this (offtopic) subject was the idea to keep the action menu (which is often overloaded in BI games) cleaner.
-
Didn't you see that changing the parts of the rifle required the player to go down?

I think it was the cameraman who said it, not Ivan. -
Sorry, since this certainly is out of place in this topic but since DarkDruid talked about it: With the goal in mind to keep the action menu clean and not overloaded: Maybe you could put the weapon customization actions (e.g. remove silencer, add scope, etc.) into a different action menu which only appears when you e.g. press a key or a stroke. Just a thought.
-
Muhaha, we did it! We infiltrated the bunker and retrieved the information! Mission accomplished! :bounce3: The camera agent was used (and I mean - used "hard" - poor guy!! :D ) but he did a hell of a job!
-
You Sir just missed Arma 3 and BI. Closer than ever! :)
-
Yeah really! :) The pressure on his neck was heavy! :D Did you see Ivan looking after the camera as it turned away from him? :D Thanks Ivan, for the great presentation! All in all the game really is rich of great features! Wow!
-
Say thanks to the agent, he did a hell of a job!! He survived the fight!
-
Haha :D About Lord Buchta: Camera: "What does he practice?" Jay: "Beer lifting!"
