no I agree what we does effect everyone else as well but so does everyone else. But thats because economics is global now. You think what happens in England or China or Russia doesn't effect the U.S? If that was the case hell gas would be 10 cents a barrel but its not. America imports 90% of all goods sold within the us from China, taiwan, miiddle east, Mexico and Korea. So if those countries have problems they effect us as well. I remember when Taiwan had that huge fire back in the early 90's it caused PC memory to be scarce and 100 bucks per meg. Which we paid to build systems. I mention this because I build em for a living and that put one hell of a crunch on new systems I built and sold. and without going thru the web and looking it up I can bet you could make a laundry list of items that have effected us over the last 50+ years. Bottom line is there will be no US "Depression" if it came to that there would be a "world" despression due to the fallout. **NOTE** as for the God bless America statement that isn't a slogan to me. I believe and honor both sides of it. Now if you are Godless and don't wish your own country well that's on you. God Bless America and all those who believe in Him.

Your country has trashed many other countries, and has tens of millions of people on its conscience. You're just repeating american nationalist propaganda with that "God Bless America" nonsense. It's all lies. Long time ago back in decadent rome people didn't have to lie. People were slaves and masters, and that was it. It was clear who had the power and who hadn't. When the slaves got powerful enough to over-power their masters, or when slavery was too inefficient other factors had to be invented to keep the population in chains. To control it. But not physically like before. Organized religion and conformism were used to do this. Religion turned into the opium of the masses. Then the dark ages passed, peasant uprisings and few recruits made barons and kings invent another idea of unification called nationalism. "Germany" and its rulers had to be defended from Napoleonic anti-monarchist "terror" etc. Earlier nobody cared if they fought for their lords or not. So at that time people grew up with nationalism and religion and believed in it. Today those things are on a decline but where the society gets more unstable, when the rulers are threatened, nationalism and religion gain in power, just like in the ex-USSR. Then we have the other ingredient of hegemony, racism. When communists had so much suppoert that it turned into a huge threat for the ruling class in the weimar republic, they supported the pro-capitalist nazis with money. Because they were the only party that could stop the communists and save the privileges of the ruling class and expand them by reducing the rights of the working class. After massive financial backing, Hitler came into power with the help of a small conservative party. Today there's another way to unite people. That's in the "war against terror". All who don't do exactly as the ruling class wants, and is a threat to it, or are in their way get classed as terrorists. And if you aren't against them you're one yourself. That's why FARC, PFLP, the nepalese maoist guerilla, PKK and other liberation movements are classed as terrorists. With the same terminology the vietnam war was a war on "terror" and for "freedom", but oddly enough the vietnamese people were "terrorists" and didn't want "freedom" when they opposed the US mass-murders, terror bombings and hunger for profit. "God bless america" is therefore just a meaningless echo of the primitive past and current reality of humanity. People who follow like sheep and rulers who tell fabolous tales so the sheep are ready follow their rulers (who don't exist -we learn they are ghosts) over a steep cliff without their knowing. amazing how defensive people get when you're the big dog on the block and they step in your poop.....

I don't see any bashing going on. I see people criticising your government and they are well within there right to do so seeing how your country's economy affects everyone else's which in turn affects us. Ah. So lived in every other country have we? No and I don't want to either.

i have been wanting to make Tango hunt style missions in OFP and ArmA but i don't know how to script it. It would count the tangos down as they were killed and when the last one is dead end the game. If anyone knows how to do this it would be greatly appreciated. We just don't have alot of hours to spend on stuff like Evolution.

Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced
TWCRASH replied to imported_bör's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
I just hope it is better than what we got. unlike most of you I can't waste an entire day to try and finish 1 Evolution round nor do I have 20+ friends to do these epic battles so the whole concept is lost on me and my friends. -
i get so tired of people who don't live here trying to trash our country. I live in the greatest country in the world. Even with all its faults. God bless America.

Well quote statistics all you want. We have a weak dollar and alot of debt but the economy is strong. unemployment is at 20 year low, job availability is up, houses are affordable again. My taxes are down and I have been getting rebates from our government for the last 4 or so years. And from what my UK partners are telling me in ventrilo you all pay alot more for basic items than we do, your job market is pretty dead, housing isnt affordable and gas and cigarettes are around 10 bucks a gallon/pack so things are alot worse in other countries than here in the U.S. Food prices are effected by gas prices but not in the numbers people are trying to say they are. I have seen prices on food going up long before this "recession" and it had nothing to do with the cost of gas.
-
well unlike the mainstream media trying to elect a Democratic president the economy is quit well here despite reports. Now if your selling a house your hurting but that is due to the fact people were charging such outrageous prices that the bottom finally came after so many years. I know I live on the Jersey shore and I can tell you my inlaws were trying to sell their modest house for 500,000+ dollars when all actually facts its really only worth around 3. In contrast I paid 69,000 for my house 10 years ago and last year they assessed it at over 300,000. So Since I aint selling the downturn doesnt effect me one bit.

Great post before I go any further but no ironsights should be sharp. Most of the time you stare down the barrel of anything the ironsights ARE blurry unless you are looking at the sights and not the targets. Also if anything I think transparent sights would be a better suggestion. As an avid gun owner I say this with experience.

I have played both and in my opinion ArmA doesn't come close to play ability. when you take into effect cost, system requirements and availability (try finding Queen's gambit or ArmA most of the time in the US) Battlefield is 10 bucks in the stores, PR is free and a download. As for gameplay, for those who claimed it was slow or not tactical need to jump into the Tactical Gamers server. Again just my opinion so please no hate mail lol.

i would have mirrored it for TB but he hasnt given me permission to. Maybe sometimes tonight he'll ok it. The file is there just not listed. (techwarriorz)

I also ran into the same problem with "steal The Car" episode. If I ran up on a AI they couldnt hit me to save themselves but I was hit running about 100 yards away from them. As a test I ran directly thru the town gunning down every Ai i came within 20 feet or so and they couldnt hit me but I wasted them. Also in Shadow Killer as soon as the mission starts the Alarm goes off and the whole town is alerted. Also when the tank rolls into the town it turns and heads away from town and does circles a few 100 meters over the hill for no apparent reason. And the troop truck that follows the tank in proceeds to run over a prone AI and keep going back and forth as well until the AI gets up and moves. We are getting some jittering and stuttering even on low settings. We tested also this against the MCM and WGL mod with the same effects NOT happening. I do like the fact you cleaned up the night vision it looks great and the new screens are nice as well.

hey Rooney with TB making FFUR85 single player only he pretty much killed our dreams of a new mod to play Multiplayer with. Are you going to make yours more MP friendly or are we gonna have the same scripting problems causing ctd's as in the FFUR series?
-
To bad the mod is only single player. Was hoping it was gonna be more MP friendly but I guess it wasn't in the cards.
-
I seriously dont think theres enough addons there. You need to add another 20 addons to get it to work.

I was wanting to make a few basic missions in OFP that you have so many Tangos, As you eliminate them the game flashes onscreen how many are left and ends when the last one is eliminated (kinda like the old GR coop games) Any help would be appreciated.
-
i wanted to make a basic tango hunt mission but I dont know how to make the game count the bad guys (and show onscreen how many left) and end the game when the last one is eliminated. Any help would be appreciated.

Only thing I would suggest from BI to fix is frame rates. All other items can be added by the community ( which they do better anyways)Also I have a friend fresh out if Afghanistan and his statement about US weapons is that the M4 with Acog or reddot is standard issue. no one is using ironsights anymore. Like i said thats from someone who is back from deployment.

Theres a ton of missions and campaigns out there to play that those should work pretty well with. check ofp.gamepark.cz

I ran into the building being almost transparent for the Ai as well TB. Here are shots of a tank sitting in a house in the mission "shadow killer". Also is it me or is teh NV's really grainy its almost unplayable at certain points cus you cant see anything.

Its the best game of 2007. Voted that way in less than 2 months availability as well (came out in November) It is fast paced, customizable easily modded, easily ranked server setup. over 20,000 servers online to play on with 5 or so various game types which they are customizable as well. No it aint ArmA but it does rock and Since I own both I play it a whole lot more. wait i play OFp a whole lot more as well... Well OFP is a great game thats a no brainer

definitely looking forward to the new release as well.
