The water effect has been improved a lot by combining a lot of scripts from several mods in the goal to get something of pretty decent. Just read carefully the first post of this thread. You'll notice that there's different water effects , for APCS, Boats, Helicopters , Planes .. plus a splash water effect has been added. Best Regards Thunderbird84

The main objective of the FFUR mod is to improve OFP by replacing all BIS stuff (effects, addons, etc) and enhancing the realism. Honestly I prefer not to add more new external addons in the goal to reduce the size of the addons folder. However if you would like to use an artillery piece or a bomber plane, you'll have just to put the wanted addon into your addons folder. Best Regards Thunderbird84

Welcome mate So it won't be a patch because we've carried a lot of changes from the old version improving and enhancing several things, it would be a Full pack though , but don't worry about its size because it would be around only 300MB , the most smaller total conversion size Following the fact that some people still have old graphic cards I decided to remove the sky and to put it in a small external installer of 3 MB that you will have to download at the release of the FFUR v5.0. No lag , absolutely no Lag if you make the right choice of config, I spent a lot of time testing them. High Cpu -> < 2ghz / 512 MB DDR Low Cpu -> < 1,2ghz / 256 MB DDR Multi -> < 800-900mz / 128 MB DDR or SDRAM The high configs have all effects and scripts , low ones use only few scripts , Multi uses less scripts. The size of the addons folder has been reduced from 800 MB to around 300-350 MB making the FFUR mod 60 % less lagy than before plus they are decompressed to avoid FPS problems while in game, (thanks to Maa and to Sanctuary for their explanations). Why WOULD you? OFP - Infantry combat simulator with very arcadish vehicles T-72 BOF - Tank combat simulator. Apples and oranges. OFP is for when you want to play a grunt, this game will be for when you want to play a tanker. Unless this thing is a huge screwup, I think we can safely assume comparing OFP's tank behaviour to what we can expect from a dedicated tank sim would be like comparing Crimson Skies to IL-2. One can't compare between the two because the 2 simulators are completely different, OFP isn't specialized in a precise field contrary to T-72 which's its purpose's to make discover the T-72 a bit more... Both of Engines seem totally different too, but they are based on the same thing though , The realism

I've already told it bud , and more than once , there are several configs in FFUR , so if you notice any lag then try the Low config which uses only few effects or just have a look on the Multiplayer one which's a pure replacement of units Btw the incoming FFURv5.0 would be a lot better than the old versions, wait and see.
