    BRDM-2

    I guess you would like to use it as replacement instead of BIS BRDM. In fact even with the machine gun on it, it doesn't make too much of differences in missions, just make sure you'd increase the dispersion value of the NSV. Here's the defined class (make sure to replace FFUR paths by yours and don't forget to define a 'class NSV' derived from 'class machinegun12_7', you may customize it as well (sounds, dispersion...etc). <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> class BRDM:jeepmg { vehicleClass="Armored"; unloadInCombat=1; fuelCapacity=100; scope=2; crew="SoldierEB"; side=0; accuracy=0.5; nameSound="apc"; transportSoldier=3; transportAmmo=0; maxSpeed=100; preferRoads=1; unitInfoType="UnitInfoCar"; hideUnitInfo=1; cargoAction[]={"ManActbmpCommander","ManActCargo"}; cargoIsCoDriver[]={1,0}; gunnerInAction="ManActbmpGunner"; gunnerAction="ManActbmpGunner"; forceHideGunner = true; forceHidedriver = true; driverCanSee=CanSeeEye+CanSeeOptics+CanSeeCompass; gunnerCanSee=CanSeeEye+CanSeeOptics+CanSeeCompass; gunnerHasOptics=true; soundEngine[]={"Vehicles\OldIdle1",0.3162278,1.25}; threat[]={0.5,0.5,0.1}; icon="bmp"; soundGear[]={"Vehicles\Gear_Trans1",0.001,1}; soundCrash[]={"Vehicles\crash_small2",0.3162278,1}; soundEnviron[]={"Objects\noise",0.0031623,0.25}; displayName="BRDM-2"; model="\ffur_ru_arm\brdm\brdm2.p3d"; picture="\brmd\ibrmd.paa"; weapons[]={"NSV"}; magazines[]={ "NSV","NSV","NSV","NSV", "NSV","NSV","NSV","NSV" }; armor=80; type="VArmor"; cost=100000; canFloat=1; simulation="car"; hasDriver=1; hasGunner=1; hasCommander=0; hideProxyInCombat=0; wheelCircumference=4.513; turnCoef=6.0; dammageHalf[]={"\ffur_ru_arm\brdm\ikku_a.paa","\ffur_ru_arm\brdm\ikku_b.paa"}; dammageFull[]={"\ffur_ru_arm\brdm\ikku_a.paa","\ffur_ru_arm\brdm\ikku_c.paa"}; armorGlass=0.5; armorWheels=0.15; terrainCoef=2.0; damperSize=0.1; damperForce=30; armorBody=0.4; armorFuel=1.4; armorLights=0.4; scudLaunch=""; scudStart=""; typicalCargo[]={"Soldier","Soldier","SoldierLAW","Officer"}; formationX=20; formationZ=20; precision=10; brakeDistance=10; steerAheadSimul=0.5; steerAheadPlan=0.35; predictTurnSimul=1.2; predictTurnPlan=1.2; sensitivity=0.6; class Turret { gunAxis = "OsaHlavne"; turretAxis = "OsaVeze"; soundServo[]={"Vehicles\gun_elevate","db-40",0.5}; gunBeg = "usti hlavne"; gunEnd = "konec hlavne"; minElev=-5; maxElev=+30; minTurn=-360; maxTurn=+360; body = "OtocVez"; gun = "OtocHlaven"; }; class ViewOptics { initAngleX=0; minAngleX=-30; maxAngleX=+30; initAngleY=0; minAngleY=-100; maxAngleY=+100; initFov=0.11; minFov=0.11; maxFov=0.11; }; class ViewGunner { initAngleX=5; minAngleX=0; maxAngleX=0; initAngleY=0; minAngleY=0; maxAngleY=0; initFov=0.7; minFov=0.42; maxFov=0.85; }; class ViewPilot { initAngleX=10; minAngleX=-30; maxAngleX=30; initAngleY=0; minAngleY=-100; maxAngleY=100; initFov=0.7; minFov=0.42; maxFov=0.85; }; class IndicatorSpeed { selection = "ukaz_rychlo"; axis = "osa_rychlo"; angle = -260; min = 0; max = 35.67; }; class IndicatorSpeed2 { selection = "ukaz_rychlo2"; axis = "osa_rychlo2"; angle = -240; min = 0; max = 16.67; }; class IndicatorRPM { selection = "ukaz_rpm"; axis = "osa_rpm"; angle = -240; min = 0; max = 1.2; }; class IndicatorCompass { selection = "kompas"; axis = "osa_kompas"; angle = 360; min = -3.1415926536; max = 3.1415926536; }; }; Best Regards Thunderbird84

    Racial Violence Continues in Australia

There are some limits that have been established in order to avoid that people would kill each others for these reasons. if 'Freedom of speech' would have been 100% free then how would the world be today? Regards Thunderbird84

    Racial Violence Continues in Australia

-Applying laws by punishing racists and people behind racism activities -> Temporary result. (the hatred would even become harder and less controlable). -Sensitizing people by informing'em by medias, schools, universities, colleges, job-offices...and everywhere else-> Perhaps a first blow for a durable result. Regards Thunderbird84

    Racial Violence Continues in Australia

Unfortunately there are no barriers against it, I think the best way to fight it is to sensitize people for the importance of cultural diversity and to make'em understand society and the world as well as for shaping society's concept of the world. Racism's just a sort of mixture of frustration, ignorance, apprehension and hatred. I'm sure if people would make more efforts to understand the sources that caused the current social problems, they'll definitely get a clear view of the situation instead of hiding behind stereotypical views. Racial Violence Continues in Australia

Freedom of speech is a fundamental right but it should stop when it would seriously harm others without 'real' reasons. (insignificant racist insults...etc). Regards Thunderbird84

    Racial Violence Continues in Australia

Racism must not be tolerated in anytime, anywhere, it should be punished and laws must be applied. Remember what happened during the second world war, how the hell can some people dare again to attack others because of their religion, national origin, gender, or disability, as well as their race or color, after the genocide that occured more than 50 years ago. Racism is disgusting and I look forward to a time when racism will be eradicated.

    FFUR - Huge Release !!

Hi, I've discussed with several US militaries, all of them reported that they still use the M16A2 & BDU, they reported that mainly the US army personnel stationed outside the USA carry the M4 & ACU, Thanks for the infos, though. For the US soldiers or? Although it would be quite interesting to make all US Army privates carry the M16A4 Reflex, frankly I think it would be better to keep the classical M16A4. As Ch_123 explained, technically there's no problem about that, but rationaly it doesn't make sens, because we would be forced to make Russian soldiers carry Aks with scopes in order to keep a sort of balance between both sides. M16A4. -> US army Enginners in IraQ US Army Engineers Doctrines Best Regards Thunderbird84

    OFP videography

I think the competition between video makers already exists since a while...except it was 'nonofficial '. The incoming movie (FFUR Promo movie) that pierre's working on is quite impressive, it would definitely worth to take part in this competition. Good luck all. Best Regards Thunderbird84

    Explosion in UK

Indeed, looks like to the clouds that covered the whole iraqi desert during the iraqi retreat from Kuwait in 1991... I hope the wind would be friendly with the british cities around... Regards TB84

    FFUR - Huge Release !!

Hi mates, Will try to deal with'em in order to implement'em. will keep you informed. Actually the M16A2 is still the most common used weapon in the US army. But we've replaced it by the M16A4 in order to enjoy people who requested it even it's mainly used by the US Marines. and because it gives a nice touch to the modern pack as well. Btw, it seems that there's a big part of the US army officers posted in IraQ who carry the M4 (and variants) as main firearm. so we've done the same for FFUR Modern Pack officers. US Officers -> M4 Reflex US Army privates -> M16A4 US grenadiers -> M16A4/M203 US Marksman -> M4A1 with scope & Bipod. US SpecOps ->M4SD Acog Indeed, the shot showed by Jotte seems very interesting but I'm sure a lot of people who're accustomed to play with 'OFP's classical ironsights' might find it weird... Making my own Full Conversion

There are several sorts of 'Total conversion packs', there are conversion mods that are only and mainly focused on converting the whole game (Gameplay, realism, models, sounds, islands...etc) without too much of extra additions (FFUR, Y2K3 & EECP). There are conversion mods that only replace models and sounds and which are especially intended to people with low computers (DMA/ AKD enhanced DMA). There are conversion packs that only replace effects and change gameplay elements (ECP & Flashfx). There are mods that convert a part (25% - 75%) of the game by adding a lot of units and vehicles (WGL, FDF, Liberation 1944, CSLA, ROCMod, SwissMod...). But all of them are somehow interesting and quite useful, it depends on what people would like to do with'em. What a dream. Best Regards Thunderbird84

    FFUR - Huge Release !!

Tanks firing range has been increased for more realism, to avoid being hit, don't stay static in order to retire out of range of your adversary's visual field. Such dynamic ironsights are definitely impossible to make in OFP, simply because possibilities of carrying'em out in OFP is very limited, they're just 2D, a texture applied on a p3d with a defined target point which is always visible in the displayed area. Not more, Not less. ArmA would hopefully make less ironsights limitations. You have to know that the majority of the current mods usually have their own effects, and the same goes for FDF, combining it with FFUR would simply cause a lot of errors. The envisaged multi configs would be lighter than 'single player' ones, though. Best Regards Thunderbird84

    FFUR - Huge Release !!

We're forced to keep the target point in the middle of the screen while implementing ironsights pics, we can't move it neither on the left nor on the right, and making it smaller would just mean making it out of the ironsight visual field. Best Regards Thunderbird84

    ArmA Progress Updates

Not that old, it has been released the same year than OFP... and it still has a strong community that has released a bunch of interesting mods as well, but its community isn't more active than OFP's one, though. ;-) In any way, let's wish the best luck to BIS to implement at least one or two of the suggested features even if I'm quite sure they're polishing some last details right now. Best Regards Thunderbird84

    BRDM-2

...then here's the Russian variant', ' spent a couple minutes to decrease all textures 'saturation' level in order to make it closer to this one and removed the red star as well. It will be implemented instead of the previous BRDM in FFUR 2005. Big thanks to Offtime for his permission to modifie it and to implement it in FFUR. Edit: Ps: It would be better to add the following line to the class OFF_BRDM2: BRDM: in order to get 'apc' instead of 'unknown'. ;-) Best Regards Thunderbird84
