Some people seem not to get the point of that video. Of course the man in question does exagerate some problems. He is not going to tell you everything in details. But all in all, he is right about many aspects of war. As some people tend to point out at a certain light, he doesn't support pacifism but he does condemn "many bad aspects of the military". For some of us, this might sound kind of naive but he is damn right about a lot of things. And he got it right. Regards, TB

I don' have any problem at all by playing with the latest SLX MOD + ACE [The 3 packs (@ACE_X;@ACE;@ACE_SM)] + Mando Missiles + JTD Fire + ShackTak HUD System Everything is working like a charm and I would like to say that with all these mods combined, the immersion feeling is damn impressive. Thanks to SLX, the AI is way smarter and the firefights last very long, thanks to ACE, you get the right ballistics and right gear, thanks to JTD, you get the real effects, thanks to Mando you have an awesome HUD and MFD system, thanks to Shacktack you get a nice "Team Radar". The experience is definitely way better, I'm truthfully impressed by how these MODs make you feel. And I would like to highlight the fact that SLX doesn't get enough of credits. This MOD is a must and is getting better and better every time. Thank you Solus and everyone involved. Best Regards, TB

I like the idea of establishing a FOB but yours would need a little more work to look a pinch more real : - Add more tents, there aren't enough. - A FOB is somewhat human, yours looks too clean and it isn'tas organized as you'd think, there are always things that remain here and there and lay on the ground (Bottles, empty boxes, crates...) - Play a little with the "setPos" command to put guards in the frontal bunkers and towers - You'd need more vehicles - I see no Helipad? Don't use BIS one, carry out yours by making the writings a little less visible - Put more mortars and HMGs all around within the sand bunkers That's what I can say so far. Keep it up. Regards, TB

Group Link 4 Special FX Edition
Thunderbird replied to snkman's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I guess it is hardcoded within the executable of ArmA II. Even with a Hexa tool, it is quite hard to grab where the findCover command was defined as BIS uses a quite complex compilation code. Not that I'm saying it is unbreakable but it might be unusable. I hope that BIS will hardcode less their commands by defining them directly within the game's config. This will give way more freedom to developers to improve what has been done so far. Regards, TB -
Dynamic Sound System RC1
Thunderbird replied to tpM's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Outstanding work. This is quite an innovative Addon and thanks to your scripts, a lot of things can be further done to create the best and the most realistic sounds pack so far. I don't want to blame BIS audio engineers but this should have been done a while ago. Thanks a lot. Regards, TB -
All we need now is a Caucasus campaign. No cfgGroups? though. Regards, TB

ACE 1.5 Beta (Advanced Combat Environment)
Thunderbird replied to xeno's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Yes, that's what I'm blaming. I think the suggested solution can figure out many people's issues, thus by making things much easier to install and run. Somewhat like any lambda software. And people are rather used to this kind of method. They won't feel so lost. If you wonder how you can keep the MOD updated without having to release hundreds of patches, just carry out a little script that checks out the server, and if there are updates then it installs them. ACE 1.5 Beta (Advanced Combat Environment)
Thunderbird replied to xeno's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I understand ACE's willingness to make the Mod easily updatable but as you can see, your approach isn't that accessible, especially for those who don't mess a lot with Consoles, GUI's, MODs and such things. You should have done a simple MOD by using a NSIS installer that establishes a shortcut on the Desktop. Somehow like ECP was for OFP or WGL. This would have made people's life much easier. Up to you, though. Regards, TB -
It was indeed rather tough and rude and Webb did his best. He did some little mistakes though. Sorry, Spain was way from being bad, of course, their strikers weren't that efficient but their game, their move and their vision of the game is far beyond the best. Somehow comparable to the german game, except that the germans have Klose, Podolski and Müller. And you never reach the finals of a world cup just like that... Concerning the dutch game, Holland was too much focused on terrifying the spanish than on trying to establish a decent game. All in All, Spain deserves its win. Regards, TB

Viva España ! Thank you for your great football, for your outstanding sense of Fair Play and for the huge skills of your players. However, nice world cup Holland even if some dutch players are honestly evil, and must change this mentality and their way of thinking football. I would like to especially thank Robben for his talent and great Fair Play. Long Live Spain. Regards, TB

What's wrong with De Jong, he did a murder but was pretty lucky by having only a yellow card. I'd say the same for Van Bommel, this guys must stop trying to be the referee's buddy as this doesn't hide what he does so far... Hope the second half will be pinch more entertaining
-
seconded and thirded. Hope today's finals will reach the same quality and would even be better. Regards, TB
-
My support goes to the dutch as well. Not that I don't like Spain, but Holland is able to establish an impressive offensive game. Of course, only if the players feel confident, which, unfortunately, is not always the case, as we have already seen when they played against Uruguay. Regards, TB
-
Huh, very tasty. I'd prefer a marinaded german octopus in the bechamelle
-
What the hell happened to the German machine... When I think that I was about to get used to this game, and now this.. argh Makes my nerves Shame that they didn't remain calm to establish their impressive game. But Spain did it. All in all, congrats Spain. Now hope the dutch will make it. Regards, TB

Eagerly looking forward to this sound MOD with the hope it will become my favorite one. As I'm kind of devided between CSM, HIFI, ACE and VOP, heh. Regards, TB
-
Casillas is not that unbeatable, even if he's among the best goal keepers. Let's see how he'd do it tonight.
-
Hope Germany will get ride of Spain with a rain of goals
-
Hats off Uruguay, hats off ! What a grand team... they fight until the end, they never act like defeated girlies. I'm sure they are proud of what they did so far during this world cup. Congrats Holland. Even if I'm deeply convinced that the 2nd goal is stolen, the man was offside and touched the ball. Netherlands vs Germany What a promising final (Of course by hoping that Germany will make it tomorrow, heh) Regards, TB
-
Holly hell, what am I watching right now? 2 Tomahawks, one proudly signed "sir Forlan", and concerning the other one, I really don't know what to say except that Van Bronckhorst offered us the most beautiful goal thus far. However, the dutch play very bad... Hope Germany won't do the same tomorrow. Let's see how the second half would evolve... But honestly, slightly disliking the way the dutch push the simulation that far, therefore, my support goes to Uruguay... Regards, TB

I always knew that you are a grand man Paul.
