FFUR 2006 2.0 Total conversion pack

RD54 Rucksacks aren't that big and they are commonly used during infantry patrols. (and quite helpful when you are supposed to sleep outside under the stars). To avoid some problems that might sometimes happens during the binarization process. This should not happen with the last version because the new way the death animations have been implemented should not cause any issue online. Check out the previous pages, and who said 'posts'? ;-) And who said that the Res truck has been replaced by that one? Wait'n see. Regards Thunderbird84 -

This is one of the major sources of lag, especially during missions that simultaneously use various vehicles and aircrafts, the lag is maily caused by the 'Script' than by the debris, though. Thanks for the nice words. Regards Thunderbird84 -
The tracers being used in the last release are a modified version of 'Grendel' tracers released a while ago on OFPEC. Regards Thunderbird84

Hi, My apologies for the long absence and lack of posts here, I'm actually busy with several real life duties, but concerning 'OFP' and as previously mentioned, the patch should be accomplished within a couple of weeks and would figure out the *'AI Accuracy issue' as well as it would feature and enhance several aspects of the mod. (As usual, some of them would still be secret until the release ;-) ). *The firearms accuracy would be more authentic and more realistic due to the increase of the dispersion values defined especially in order to simulate 'The real situation' of a soldier in combat that is supposed being affected by various external elements (the unbearable stress caused by the strugge will to survive, physical and mental tiredness, the nature of the field or the weather...), several people actually think that aiming at the target and pressing the trigger are just enough to make a good "shot" aimed to take out the enemy, but as olemissrebel reported, it is very hard to hit anything during a combat, almost all of the shootings (if they're aimed on the enemy's position) are random. Anyways, special thanks everyone for helping us by providing accurate answers and solutions to people's common questions and problems, and thank you for your patience. Regards Thunderbird84 -
Lovely'n authentic ACU models, amazing Fx textures and impressive engine, I'm definitely looking foward to OFP's 'big brother'. :-) Regards Thunderbird84

My sincer apologies to Dezoom, it's just a human mistake (Huge lapse of memory caused by the large list of author'n mods who are behind the strong community of OFP :-) ), I will add him to the list of credits ASAP with the next incoming patch. Thanks everyone for the kind words, glad you appreciate the new woodland infantry soldiers, the ACU soldiers will be reworked as well though, and they'd use Cameron's textures. (Cheers to him.) I will check it out, the same goes to the rest of reported bugs in order to fix'em for the incoming patch. Thank you. Regards Thunderbird84 -

Hi, You should not experience any 'sound' problem if you'd run the "ffur2006" as standalone mod, (without the use of any 'extra' addons). Btw, here's the list of all enhancements and bug fixes that should be accomplished within a couple of days. -Major Upgrade of the US Army personnel models (Including Special Forces). -Update of the 'AI combat skills' and dispersion values increased a lot in order to make combat more immersive, strategic and authentic. -Several useless scripts will be disabled to decrease the fps level during huge battles. (Jet Fighters crashes Fx, M203/GP-25/MM-1 Smoke Fx, Turrets blowing off Fx... etc) -'Material Fx' would be enabled for all models. -New M16, M4, AK 74/47, PK sounds, directly inspired from Chammy's sound pack. -Update of the Animations (Combo of 456820 and Sanctuary animations packs). -Upgrade of the M1A1. -New music selection list done by zGuba -Wilco's ArmA Radio ending instead of BIS one. -US light infantry will have the M4 (semi, and burst) and if they are mechanized, the M16A4 [Aimpoint]. (Cheers to Olemissrebel, our new military advisor). -Included the RPK-74 to the russian infantry. (RHS Model). -Fixed the 'Mission Editor Wizard'. -Fixed the 'textures ratio' for the MP issue. -Fixed the error message that happens online. There would certainly be new units, firearms and model changes, we will try to keep you informed about the progress. Btw, here is a shot of the current status of the new woodland soldier (After a couple of hours spent this weekend): Regards Thunderbird84 -

Hi everyone, Thank you for the kind words and for your usual support, I'm actually experiencing a huge lack of time due to several real life duties and I don't have the possibility to answer everyone, but no worries about the patch, it would be done within a couple of days and would hopefully enhance more'n more the realism aspect (Squad formations, Squad firearms, Woodland and ACU soldiers, Special forces...etc) as well as it would fix and improve the 'AI' issue. (and the rest of the reported bugs too.) Thanks for your patience. Best Regards Thunderbird84 -

This wouldn't be a problem anymore because the dispersion values and the aiming capabilities would be updated, it would be more realistic and more immersive because most of modern military doctrines push soldiers to engage the enemy from 'long' distances. I just hope people wouldn't complain about the fact that they wouldn't get killed easily the next time, heh. Regards Thunderbird84 -

-> * Error message that occurs online. -> FFUR_Sound\Guns\m4.wss Well seen, thanks. Indeed, this would be updated as well. I'd try to find the addon that is causing this error in order to figure out this issue. Honestly, I prefer the current FOV values we've defined, because they provide a deep visual fied and they show 'your' arms, somehow like in real life, I don't understand why most of people dislike'em, but I will put back BIS default FOV values to satisfie everyone. Hi, The incoming module that should be released within a few days would include a patch that would fix several of the issues reported in the previous pages. * AI aiming capabilities and dispersion values. * Error message that occurs online. * Mission editor minor issue. * Cancellation of the health bar. ... Concerning the animations issues a few people experienced with 'extra' addons, are simply due to the fact that these 'extra addons' are derived from 'BIS' vehicle classes so they have the same "driver, gunner and commander" animations, and we had to replace BIS animations values defined in the wanted 'vehicle' class by new ones that fit with the implemented vehicles, and actually the only way to figure out this issue is to get a look at the class your 'Extra model' is derived from and to copy and paste the 'manact ...' lines coming from the 'vehicle class' your addon derives from to your 'Extra model' class. Check it out once again, it has 2 pilots in game, but the fact that you get 1 pilot with the missions that use the 'v-80' is simply due to the fact that the 'v-80' has 1 pilot by default, heh. As already said, I unfortunately can't answer everyone these days due to real life priorities, please try yourself to get the answers to your questions by carrying out some research. Thank you. Regards Thunderbird84 -

Hi, Several of the bugs reported in the previous pages don't sound 'that' major in my judgement, everyone can live with'em until we would release the patch. Meanwhile, feel free to fix'em yourself, there are a lot of tutorials online and that would be a great opportunity to acquire a little experience. There were more major bugs previously, though (CTDs, Realism issues, scripts problems, error messages...) and we have taken out all of them. Btw, we stated in the first page that it's best to run your operation flashpoint in 'english' to avoid experiencing the problems you got in game wipman. (System Requirements), because the FFUR Mod has been entirely developed in english. Anyways, thanks everyone for the kind words, and as already mentioned, a patch'd be released within a couple of days. But please keep in mind that it's quite hard to me to answer everyone these days due to the lack of time I'm actually experiencing, so please get a look at the previous pages or carry out some research before asking. Thank you. Regards Thunderbird84 -

Hi everyone, Thanks for the kind words and for your support but unfortunately I can't answer everyone because of the lack of time due to some real life tasks. Though, there's an editable config and you can find a lot of tutorials online, just use the button 'search' and you will find how to customize, improve and enhance your FFUR 2006 2.0 as you wish (Just don't forget to convert the 'editable config' to bin with binview, it should work very well if you carry out the wanted changes propely.) As previously stated, a module including the mp and the acu configs will be released within a couple of days, probably with a minor patch that should take out the minor issues that happen online. You don't hear that 'echo' effect when you're the gunner in real life, I've even experienced that myself, even if it would probably sound more 'immersive' in game, the current sounds are in my judgement, the most authentic ones we have included thus far, though. Anyway, feel free to change the sounds if you don't like'em that much. (cpp way) Thanks for the kind words everyone, Enjoy. :-) Regards Thunderbird84 -
Time comes to close this thread, thank you folks for your great, long and usual support and I hope you had memorable days as well as we have appreciated working on this project. Sincerely, yours Thunderbird84

Hi folks, Thanks for the kind words, for your long and usual support, and I sincerely hope you will enjoy the incoming version as we have enjoyed working on it.. Excluding the MP & ACU configs (That would probably be included to an extra module envisaged for the next incoming days), the new FFUR 2006 2.0 is almost totally complete and would hopefully be released before the end of the current week. (including the weekend :-)). Here are a couple of shots btw. Thanks to Ingram and to Parvus for these nice shots. Anyway, time comes to take the previous 'ffur2006' out of your 'Operation Flashpoint' folders, and maybe to lock the current thread for a new one. (That would be done as soon as the pack's online). Best Regards Thunderbird84

First page updated... more content (informations and media files) would be progressively added. btw... Cheers to Ingram for these shots. Regards Thunderbird84
