The cursor's color would be slightly changed.

It seems that you're using "extra" addons with FFUR because the class shown on this picture doesn't come with FFUR, please read the instructions to avoid experiencing such errors. All forgotten and unspotted bugs have been reported and they have been all fixed, the patch would be released only once we update the russian models, as it has been said above. regards, Thunderbird
-
This is due to the fact a texture folder has been accidentally deleted before I carry out the installer, and as it has already been stated, the incoming patch would figure out this issue. The group section seems slightly turning crazy, because the selected unit tend to change its 'class', this issue would be fixed as well quite soon, though. With no offense, what is the point of providing such a kind of informations? ;-) Furthermore, Shadow Nx has kindly accepted to help us in order to accomplish a derived version from his amazing RHS troops exclusively for FFUR with the goal to get some decent russian troops using RHS new models parts, anyways, the rest of reported bugs (MP issues) have been fixed and the patch would hopefully be released tomorrow. Thank you once again. regards, Thunderbird

I would like to point out a few things, First, the FFUR 2006 2.5 is a full pack and as stated in the readme and in the first news post, it is recommended to run it with OFP Vanilla 1.96, (Better with English as the main language). Secondly, the MP patch has been carried out a few minutes after the main release in order to fix a few forgotten bugs, but apparently there were much more than expected which have been revealed later... we are currently taking some measures to fix these "unspotted" bugs and the new patch should hopefully be done quite soon. Thank you for the nice words, your reports and for your patience. Regards, Thunderbird
-
Indeed, but nothing of major consequence, 'just a few names that have to be fixed.
-
It is a M4, not a A1 variant which is automatic, M4s are used by regular troops, though. The sound has been inspired from Chammy's sound pack, which is certainly one the most realistic SFX selection carried out so far for OFP. This can not be done with Operation Flashpoint because of its engine limits, but it would probably be possible with ArmA. regards, Thunderbird
-
Damn... It survived, I'm still looking for the source of this bug, apparently there was not 1 (256x8) texture, but there were much more than that... A patch would be done as soon as this issue is figured out, hopefully today.
-
Indeed, I have accidentally deleted the sniper's textures before to carry out the installer, a patch is on the way, thank you for your understanding. Negative. Thanks a lot, the first post has been updated. regards, Thunderbird

As time moves on more mirrors will be listed. Thanks once again to Coop Center, though. regards Thunderbird
-
Try again, the links seem fixed now. More mirrors should be available within a few minutes...
-
It seems that the links got some problems after a few minutes, more mirrors are on the way, hang on.

Get a look at the incoming FFUR thread, which should be done... very soon. ;-) regards, Thunderbird

FFUR 2006 2.0 Coming soon.... Thank you for your patience and understanding. Sincerely, yours Thunderbird84 - FFUR Project Leader

Pretty nice pack with a great selection of addons, The higher your transparence value will be, the less opaque the color would be in-game. Certainly to make combat more interesting, immersive and intense imo. regards, Thunderbird

Congratulations to all BIS developers, 3D and 2D designers, voice actors, SFX specialists, engine coders... and to all people involved in making the best infantry simulation ever. sincerely, yours Thunderbird

No worries about FOV values, they have been modified for the incoming patch/pack, which is nearing completion, several changes have been done (including RHS addons implementation) and the mod still only needs being tested on-line on a dedicated server in order to adjust a couple of things, and to make sure everything goes smoothly, off without a hitch, though. There would certainly be 2 packs (Full pack and patch from 2.0 to 2.5). By the way, the previous thread has been locked due to the close release of the last FFUR pack. Thank you for your patience. Regards, Thunderbird

What can I add more. Impressive work, great 3D models with incredible-looking textures and the same goes to all of the addons released during the last weeks, like everyone, I hope to see you again on ArmA boat for further projects to enjoy the community. Thank you. regards, Thunderbird84

<span style='font-size:13pt;line-height:100%'>FFUR 2006 Total conversion Pack 2.0</span> Announcement: After the huge release carried out a couple of months ago, we've decided to focus more on the "Modern Projects" represented by the FFUR 2006 and the FFUR Euro due to their popularity in the OFP Community. We started reworking the entire FFUR 2006 by enhancing and improving all aspects, but the main focus was to increase the realism of gameplay. Due to the high number of packs released previously, we gained valuable input and experience and tried our best to bring the community a lag free pack that still respects the current loadouts and ammunition properties by providing realistic and authentic effects and sounds. We have had tremendous support from skilled and talented people who we would like to thank along with the whole Operation Flashpoint Community for their support and help. We sincerely hope you will appreciate this new and improved version. Overview: The FFUR 2006 Total Conversion Pack utilizes the very best community addons to bring the Cold War to the 21st century. All 1985-era technologies are replaced with cutting edge Russian Federation and US Military weaponry using all new units and fine tuned configuration settings. No prior FFUR pack has been subjected to such a degree of scrutiny and community interest. Given this and the extensive experience of the core team, we have done our best to respect the delicate balance between gameplay and realism that the community has outlined. In addition to the community addons, FFUR 2006 features new GUIs, visual effects, and immersive sounds, all with minimized lag. FFUR 2006 now has not one but 2 configs, one aesthetically focused for single player and the other streamlined for multiplayer. Hundreds of man hours were spent creating this modification, scouring it for bugs and tweaking the experience. The beta testers exerted a large degree of effort to make this possibe and it's safe to say that it was indeed worth it. From everyone at the FFUR team, we hope you'll enjoy these modifications as much as we enjoyed making them. Main contents: [*]New realistic Gameplay enhancements. (ammunitions, explosions, AI, infantry loadouts, etc) [*]New Visual improvement Aspects, and a updated set of new and improved models. [*]Very Realistic Sounds and New Music soundtracks. [*]New Animations with the addition of a new death anim. [*]New Interfaces and new mission editor GUI. [*]Effects done the most realistic possible way, featuring the ability to blow up turrets. [*]New lighting and reflection effects. [*]Several new extra additions (ACU soldiers, BTR-80, M82, OSV-96...). [*]The added Ability of playing online with a MP config. [*]All bugs and other issues fixed. [*]All addons have been decompressed to further reduce lag and frame rate difficulties. [*]Only relevant and required P3D models and textures have been retained for FFUR 2006. <span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'>Download - (Mirror 1) by Coop-Center.de</span> We envisage to release several modules that will include the Multiplayer and the ACU configs, probably with some little presents within the next incoming days as well... ;-) <span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'>Credits:</span> Big thanks to the OFP community as a whole, but especially to: * FlashFx Mod/Nemesis6 for their basic scripts * BW Mod for their great addons used in the FFUR Euro * RHS Mod for their outstanding armored, infantry and weapons addons * ORCS Mod for their nice models * DKM Mod for their armored units * OWP Mod for their great helicopters and pilots * UKF Mod for their soldiers models used in the FFUR Euro * BOH Mod & Hyakushi for all of the nice work they provided thus far * VME Mod for their support with a couple of scripts * NorFor Mod for their support * AKM74 Mod for his nice armored vehicles * SJB Mod & Jackal for his kickass weapons * Swedish Forces Mod (SFP) for their models used in FFUR Euro * ECP Mod for their support * WGL Mod for their realistic ammunition values * CSLA Mod for their outstanding helicopter models * Y2K3 Mod for their support * FDF Mod for their support * Turkish Union Mod for their support * DMA Mod & Sanctuary for their nice work and their great support * EECP Mod for their support * Franze for his nice helicopter models and his usual support * Ingram for the nice screenshots * King Homer for his great tank models and his support * Oyman for his nice A10 * Laser for the great human models he's done so far * Colorchanger for his nice airplane used in the FFUR Euro * Williec for his nice rebel models * iakr for his nice car * Llauma for his popular sky pack * B3Liar for his G36 pack * Inquisitor for his tanks * AfrographX for his nice Ch-47 * Farmland Mod for its civilian models * Combat Mod for the great collection of armored vehicles * BlackBlood for the nice british models used in the FFUR Euro * Fishkopp for his nice pilots and Humvees * Sigma for his old and still so good tank models * To all the other great addon makers. With no offense, you should get a look at it once again to know what you are talking about, of course, the FFUR mod, like several mods around use the best of the community in order to carry out a decent combination that respect the wanted theme and era, but it's not just a "combination" that regroups a bunch of addons and release the pack like that, it's much more than that, otherwise we would have finished a while ago... Several of us volunteered hundred of hours to make this project a reality on, despite the amount of work we had to face during these 2 years and the various real life issues that everyone could experience... As mentioned above, the FFUR 2006 has been especially carry out to allow everyone playing again BIS campaigns and missions with the best addons released thus far, and that somehow fit with the current era, respecting modern gear and loadouts of both sides, featuring new effects and countless enhancements. Furthermore, there is no "best" mod in my judgement, all mods are different in aspect and they can't be compared in the same way, all of them are good as long as people behind' em do their job to the best of their ability. regards, Thunderbird84

FFUR 2006 2.0 Total conversion pack
Thunderbird replied to Thunderbird's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hi everyone, As stated a couple of day ago, the surprise is finally revealed (RHS releases) and we have a lot to do in order to upgrade once again the patch, including the new RHS models and features that go with the addons by making sure that they work properly with FFUR scripts, I'm afraid this might delay a bit the release date, though, but it worths it. ; -) Special thanks to the RHS team for the amazing work and the input, despite the close release of ArmA. As already said previously, the multiplayer aspect of the mod will get intensive tests and we will make sure that everything will work on-line as it should. No worries about the AI, though, as already said, it has undergone several changes and revisions, it is much better now and more realistic, no more "sniper-riflemen" or "high-skilled" resistance fighters. Btw, as a matter of realism, russian mothorized infantry troops won't carry backpacks (excluding medics), and the units that will carry backpacks won't be able to swim, for the same purpose, though and hopefully, the previous wgl ammunition values we have incorporated would be updated as well. More detailed informations and screenshots will be available soon. Thank you for your patience, regards, Thunderbird84 -
Just replace by in your regards, TB84

FFUR 2006 2.0 Total conversion pack
Thunderbird replied to Thunderbird's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hi everyone, I just would like to inform you that the release of the FFUR 2006 2.5 patch is very close, and that the "SP" part of the mod has undergone very intensive tests (Thanks to the beta testers for the great feedback so far), we are actually looking forward to an incoming release from a mod (wouldn't mention it to keep the surprise effect ;-)) before carrying out the final changes and tests. In addition, the FFUR 2006 2.5 features the ability of swimming and this time, this goes to all soldiers and not only to Special Forces (Including specified animations). Kylesarnik's new grenades would hopefully be included as well, featuring the nice effects that go with them. Thank you all, for your patience. Nice videos [TheOne] btw, keep it up. regards, thunderbird84 -
It depends on the FFUR's version you played with, because the FFUR effects have been constantly updated, enhanced or even completely changed, and the actual effects look quite decent, and more realistic than the previous ones so far, due to all of the modifications that have been carried out thus far (closely followed and corrected). Now, no more yellowish fireball or huge'n holliwoodish explosion effects, and the incoming patch updates the AI 's combat skills with the increase of the dispersion values intended to make combat more immersive, tactical and authentic, providing a “lag free†gaming environment. After all, it is a matter of taste. Anyways, Good luck with your real life, Kurayami. regards, thunderbird84

FFUR 2006 2.0 Total conversion pack
Thunderbird replied to Thunderbird's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
As said more than once before, the FFUR Mod has been especially designed to allow you playing your (preferably BIS) missions and campaigns, and step after step we had to figure out a large part of the addons incompatibility issue with the mod, and actually almost all of the available addons work properly (exluding some animations issue that sometimes do happen, which supposely should be easily fixed) with the FFUR 2006 2.0 (-> 2.5). Oh, and btw... ... as promised a couple of days ago ;-) Thanks to the following mods and people for their great input and efforts: Mapfact for the open small tent. Spetsnatz Mod for the wreck urals. Wilco for the wreck Hmmwv. ORCS mod for the Moskovitch (Thanks to the REM Mod as well). You may notice the new FFUR Pilots and armored crews above as well (Cheers to Combat and Laser for their basic 3Ds). ;-) Regards, thunderbird84 -
