    PROJECT'85 TOPIC

The progress goes nicely, several aspects of the MOD are polished on regular basis, but we are actually focused on figuring out all the issues popping out and completing the models selection. A cooperation with the RACS MOD was established in order to help both Projects and the skilled 3D Artist/Coder Vektorbosen lastly joined us and this will undoubtedly bring a lot to the Project'85 MOD. Regards, TB
  2. There would be an attempt to enhance/update/fix this model as a whole, including the textures which are actually very 'Low-Resolution'/A la OFP. So, it would take longer than expected but we will ensure to bring you back this vehicle with a brand new lifting, as the model itself has a great potential but many aspects need to be seriously polished. Regards, TB
  3. This model still needs many improvements, but to allow a better/easier development: [*]I spent a couple of hours merging the 'puzzled textures' in order to get only 2 Main Textures (instead of 75 textures) for a sake of performance and to make the model reach ArmA standards. /This will allow an easier retexturing as well (For further variants: Desert... etc).. [*] Added Normal and Specular Maps. [*] Reindented the config to make it user-friendly. Download Regards, TB

    Synide move uv's

Indeed, for the same reasons, I keep using PaNtool. By the way, I experienced a little issue I would like to get some information about if you don't mind: - If you have a model with 'Already Applied .rvmat' files (Linking to .rvmat files) and that you would like to get it have merged textures: - Would you replace the .rvmat paths by nothing? [in oder words: Would you get ride of the .rvmat files and apply them later?] - Would you attempt to merge the normals? [Knowing that it is almost impossible since every .rvmat file takes into account a texture as a whole]. Regards, TB

I just open the merged TGA image in Photoshop and save it again, works fine. Should work the same in paintshoppro(?). How didn't I think about it, cheers for the tip. Concerning Synide's Tool, I do appreciate it but I keep using it alongside with the .PTM way since 'PaNTool' takes into consideration .PAA files as well, as it saves some time from converting .PAAs into .TGAs (Specifically when you have more than 438 textures to merge, heh). Thanks for the interesting tool. The only con I could find with it is the amount of parameters to adjust/predefine before merging the textures. It would be great to further develop this tool in order to avoid to have to edit the TGAs hexadecimal codes or have to rewrite the paths as a whole. In other words, it would be great to make this tool a pinch more user-friendly. ;] Regards, TB

As stated above, the current Apaches aren't black oriented but are 'Green-ish'. Regards, TB

    FFUR'85 (2008 edition)

Hi, My sincer apologies for the long delay, I have been working hard on the Project'85 MOD for ArmA, therefore, not having time to further focus on FFUR. But the patch is started and should hopefully be accomplished within 1 - 2 weeks. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Best Regards, TB

    UEFA Euro 2008

World War III? ... another variant of soccer/football I don't know about yet, I bet, heh. Congrats to both of Spain and Germany, it will be for sure, a promising final, hopefully with many goals for both sides as both teams are offensively oriented. Regards, TB

    UEFA Euro 2008

The match was entertaining and intense, Turkish showed how good they are even with more than 5 substitutes and with players not used to play in the posts they have been assigned to. Despite its poor performance during the first half, Germany illustrated great offensive strikes, and it's amazing to watch the way Podolski play. However, I hope that Ballack will appear a little more than yesterday in the incoming match. Go Germany. Regards, TB

    UEFA Euro 2008

Another Spain vs Russia, with Arshavin, russians will aim at getting their revenge by wiping out spain. What is sure is that the half-finals will illustrate another image of football since all 'defensive oriented' teams are gone. Hopefully, no more slowing down the game to limit scoring. Regards, TB

Tonight's match will say it all, but don't forget that there is still Spain and Italy, just there around the corner. Regards, TB

    UEFA Euro 2008

Sounds like that Turkey can't win without suffering and pushing the suspense to a level that would be difficult to sustain. Without its best players, Turkey will (once again), suffer like hell against Ballack, Schweinschteiger and Podolski. A very promising match to come soon... I wonder how the streets would be in Berlin, (with the large Turkish-German community out there). Regards, TB

    UEFA Euro 2008

Did it according to the low-show illustrated with the first match, the russian team was physically weak, almost unable to reach the spanish side after the 70th minute. But Gus Hiddink has magically raised the level of the group by carrying out many changes (re-introduction of Arshavin, tactical changes...) and there is no way to complain now when a team reaches such an unexpected offensive level. The match opposing Russia to Holland is undoubtedly going to be entertaining. Regards, TB

    UEFA Euro 2008

Congrats to Russia, they played very well and it's good to see Arshavin back within the russian team, he seems to be in a good shape now. Russians could have easily won 5 - 0 due to the amount of opportunities. Hope they won't get scared against the Dutch as they were when they were opposed to Spain. The quarterfinals seem very promising. Regards, TB

Thanks for the informations, opinions, feedback and resources. We will manage to update the Apache according to these references. Same goes for Materials (Normal/Specular Maps...). Regards, TB

    UEFA Euro 2008

Huge disappointment. The french team was having a significant potential, but was very badly exploited and the issues that occured during the match didn't help neither (Ribery's injury, Abidal kicked...). I hope the young generation will be ready for the incoming World Cup in South-Africa, and of course, with a new coach. My support goes to Turkey now as it is the weakest team of these quarterfinals. UEFA Euro 2008

Unlike Portugal, Dutch substitutes have the same level than the main players chosen by Van Basten to start the match (Van Persie, Robben, Heitinga...), additionally, the dutch game is since 20 years pretty offensive, mainly affected by Johan Cruijff way of playing, as he's the direct advisor of Van Basten. All in all, we better focus on the match against Italians and attempt to trust Holland, despite its defeat during the qualifications phase against Romania. Maybe time comes to get your revenge Oranjes. Regards, TB

    Binarize

The current Binarize tool is very senstive and does usually end with a CTD in the case you wrongly include an ODOL file within the 'Folder' supposed to be binarized and then converted into a .pbo file, therefore I suggest: [*] Make the upcoming 'Binarize' tool for ArmA 2 ignore the files which are already binarized (ODOL) and only focus on the MLOD/Editable files. [*] Establish the ability to choose what to binarize [Config or P3D or RVMAT...], as sometimes you need just one file to be binarized but you have to put the entire folder with all needed 3rd party files to get it properly binarized. [*] Make the Binarize tool less dependant of 3rd party files. Regards, TB

    UEFA Euro 2008

Turkish seem to be the specialist of this Euro cup in turning bad situations around into positive ones, not the first time they win a match in such a way. Congrats to them, eagerly looking forward to the match opposing them to Croatia. (Offensive match for sure). Scolari's decision is intended to allow to the main Portuguese players get some well-deserved rest after the first 2 intense matches they had to face, this is a common choice most of team managers tend to go for in a case of 'Qualification within the first 2 Matches: 6 Points'. Therefore, I don't see the need of pushing the zeal that far. Regards, TB

The textures shown on that PBR don't illustrate 'The finalised version' since the upcoming ones will be more 'Grey-ish', and therefore, closer to the real boats. They seem to fit very well. Thanks. - Enhanced variant of Marco-Polo AH-64A (Black/Multirole) = [New External/Internal Textures - Merged textures (Number of textures decreased from 60 to only 3 textures) - Normal/Specular Maps - Realistic Values]. UEFA Euro 2008

Quite a sad day. Congrats to Holland, they showed us how offensive Football should be played, despite our numerous attempts to reach Van der Sar's area. Don't push your luck that far, heh. As stated above, a penalty should have been given to France for the use of hands within the dutch square. Actually, we still have a chance to qualify but only if we beat Italy and Holland defeats Romania. Therefore, I fully support the Dutch here, heh. Regards, TB

Crazy 2nd half between Romania and Italy, Italians needed less than a minute to equalize...
