  1. Cheers for the tip Sickboy, I will get a look at the CfgAiSkill and see how things will evolve. Regards, TB
  2. Sure, feel free to edit it as you want. Regards, TB ---------- Post added at 09:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:14 AM ---------- As I get some questions by PM, I would like to point out 1 more thing, this Addon has been mainly done to play the campaign in "better" conditions, in oder words, with this Addon, you will survive a little longer than before. Regards, TB
  3. No, US Heavy Machine Guns got their dispersion increased too, but if you play as NAPA and face US soldiers, things will still be the same as with the original game. Regards, TB
  4. The Most Important French Video Game & Game Review Website (jeuxvideo.com)] gave 16/20 to ArmA II Which is just, fantastic! However they complain about the numerous bugs which were already present in ArmA I but they mention that they trust BIS/Community in fixing them. Regards, TB
  5. A very positive review, but its author complains about the old'n classical bugs such as 'AI still sees you through the smoke or through the fog...' etc However, all in all, according to him, ArmA II is The new Infantry Simulation Reference. Regards, TB
  6. Heatseaker, You have some valid points there but you seem to miss the point the author of that video was trying to make: Large scale combat with combined military branches (Air/Armor/Infantry) and all this by using only the aritificial intelligence of the game without any extra/intra-scripting. There are not many games around capable of delivering such possibilities, and this makes OFP/ArmA/ArmA II series rather 'unique', to say the least. Of course, ArmA II isn't perfect and could have been much better if some aspects would have received more attention (Range Engagements, Dispersion Values...) and of course, it's frustrating to know that it would be the community, which would once again get all this done, but this is obviously not enough to hurt the global quality of ArmA II. Regards, TB

Who's going to resist buying on the 19th?

ArmA II is nothing comparable to ArmA I. Some engine similarities (which is obvious since ArmA II uses the same basis) but ArmA II is way better. Regards, TB
  8. Not applying or including everything you wish doesn't mean they don't read you my friend, especially these days. The fact that they randomly reply times to times is already quite satisfying... heh. Regards, TB
  9. Good to know, Don't want to sound like I'm kind of pushing my luck far, but it would be great if you increase the AI DISPERSION values for most of weapons in order to make combat more intense and immersive. I have already done that for a personnal use but it would be great to see this implemented by default. Regards, TB
  10. Muzzle flashes are really something easy to fix, if BIS won't fix then there would be community-made fixes. As it is mainly a matter of .paa/.p3d Regards, TB

    Graphics engine improvement

With no offense, you seem not to know what you are talking about. BIS have been "the only" developpers around who exclusively focus on large scale combined military simulations. This is not a "simple shooter" a la Call of duty... or a hollywoodish MOH full of EA sauce. If you're unhappy about the current status of the game then I seriously suggest you to seriously get a look at the upcoming patches. Things tend to change to a certain degree after every "patch release". Regards, TB

    Enemy Accuracy way to good.

No need to establish any script and don't bother yourself with your "profile" files, it's all config related. To be more precise, it needs the modification of some specific values within your weapon configs in order to make the AI become slightly more "human" by editing the ROF/AI precision values. A little addon is just around the corner, hang on. Regards, TB
  13. Wasn't expecting to find .bin files within subfolders as I was used to get'em directly in the main Addon folders, that's rather new to me, heh. Thanks a lot for the help.
  14. Hi all, Please, does anyone know where can I find the following classes? As they aren't available within weapons/weapons2.pbo config files. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 16. Nobody found where these famous classes are defined, hm well, I will keep searching.

    FP : DR - News & Discussion

Truthfully, you CAN'T dare to show such a video and then claim the thingie being as realistic/authentic... or whatever else in these regards. BIS seems to be once again, the only people onboard and I'm not complaining about, heh. In other words, there is No competition to fear. Regards, TB
  18. A little Bump Thanks
  19. Good to see you back in action Q, well, if you ask me, I think that the AI dispersion values should be slightly increased as well as the Rate of Fire in order to make combat be more immersive. I managed to do that for the US weapons but still not for the russian ones. Regards, TB
  20. Heh, and when you know that this awesomness got only 66% by Gamestar.. So unfair and even disgusting. Despite its numerous bugs, No game can deliver what ArmA II offers so far. Regards, TB

    Patch not solving campaign problems...

I second it, the performance does indeed, constantly decrease, and the more you play, the more the system suffers. Regarding the campaign issues, as previously stated, I do also get killed by a ghost soldier after discussing with the NAPA recon soldier when the russians arrive at Chernarus. Regards, TB

    NAPA Cutscene Major Problem

With the "endmission" cheat command, the mission that comes after "bardak" or something, doesn't load... Regards, TB
  23. Don't want to sound harsh, but if things are still the same then why wouldn't you get back to OFP? They proved they support the game after its release, with OFP as well as with ArmA. There is no reason they won't keep improving it. Regards, TB
  24. Indeed, ArmA II AI is way better than OFPs or ArmA. I'm currently developping a little something intended to increase the dispersion values in order to make firefights last longer and thus, become a pinch more realistic. Btw, No game is perfect, including ArmA II, but this game ("or simulator" feel free to call it as you want) is better than anything I have seen thus far.: - The immersion factor is unique, fed by many well-established factors (Landscape, Animations, SFX, Gameplay...). - ArmA II campaign can easily compete with the best of what has been done so far in terms of immersion and realism. - With the new patch, ArmA II engine seems stable and runs flawlessly here with almost everything set on High [ATI 4850 512MB | 4 GB (3,2) Corsair MB | E7300 ] - The new "flight-model" is outstanding as it feels more real. - As previously stated, the AI behaves like in COD4, except that it isn't scripted, heh. All in all, I'm not afraid about ArmA II future. This game has a potential that no game can deliver. And with some tweaking here and there, it could become much better. Thank you BIS. ps: Don't want to nitpick, but as said many times before: - Just improve the radio system. - Slightly optimize the engine for high-end PCs. - Improve the game's marketing. And it will become a sort of reference, as OFP was during the old days. Regards, TB
