I wish bis incorporates water in next big update

or what about vast improvements to the collision detection engine??? i mean, it is very realistic to assume that if BIS id enuff work, it would be possible to sit down on top a tank, without "getting in" and actually e transported. or it would be possible to actually fight indoors, almost to the extent of counter-strike style fighting, without all the bouncing around or falling thru walls i may be dreaming, bu tit is possible also, it seems BIS is making improvemnts to teh Collision detection systemin teh IL addon. In the screenshots, you are able to land on aircraft carriers!!! you can also take off from them.
  3. i think that the BIGGEST design flaw in ofp (when it comes to making ofp a realistic battle simulator) is the incorporatin of water. I mean, i think ofp and delta force could be considered cousins, but why is it that a game several years older than ofp can VERY EXTENSIVELY incorporate water, while ofp cannot??? i personnaly find it reidiculous that these "black ops" are highly trained soldiers, yet they cant even stick their head under water without dying?!?! seriously, i dont think it would be THAT hard to code water into the ofp engine, and i think it would add just THAT much more depth to ofp. (imagine hving submarines lol) or having water insertion missions ala Navy SEALs i really hope that BIS catches on and does something with water in their coming Independence lost addon. Also, i dont think water would be much more strain at all on a computer system

Is independance lost really lost? or just hiding

imho, i think that widespread marketing is RELATIVELY pointledd in my honest opinion. Nw, you gtta understand that i am in no way an advoceate of widespread consumer marketing. for example, why does a bottle of cologne sell for 50 bucks when it takes 50 cents to make? because they pay several thousand dollars PER commercial to have it advertised during some crap show like "sewing with martha stuart". im more easily swayed to buy something if its inexpensive, verusus having to pay 3 times as much and seeing it on tv a few times. ofp is a VERY well known game, and any person who is into games enuff to dish out 50 bucks for one, is most definitely gonna know about operation flashpoint. so why the need for marketing for ofp??? does the american public have to see ads for ofp during the superbowl in order to buy ofp?!?!!? if that is true, be prepared to spend twice as much to buy a game.
  5. i dont believe so, but i am relatively new to this stuff. the only guided cameracreated missile script i have ever seen is on ofpeditingcenter. but it relies heavily upon advanced trigonometric functions to calculate a vector for deflection of the target which it then applies to teh missile. i think thats the only way it can be done, but your idea is nevertheless good

    Where has ofpec gone?

damn, the whole ofp editing infrastructure all goes down due to a flood

    Sucky muzak in ofp:res

quit your bitching.seriously. this isnt constructive at all. you want a hard mission? ok, go to the mission editor, put 50 russian groups, set an american machine gunner as player, and have a blast. and the ammo? i had absolutely no problems. if you lose any weapons, its called a scripting error, so what. just revert back a few missions.

    Mission 5 woes

Hmm, i succeeded in an entirely Armored frontal assault, without any casualties. From the start, i instantly ordered my men into line formation, and moved flank speed to this churchon the central east side of the plains area. aove the church is a HUGE cliff, on top of the cliff is where I positioned my forces. once the OPFOR moved to contact, i rushed down the cliff with my tanks, holding formation, the enemy didnt have time to target us cuz we were moving so fast, i then ordered the targeting of the lead tanks. This formed a raod block in which they bogged down. I then ordered my men to flank left while i held the front. what happened is that the enemy couldnt get thru the burnt out tanks, while my tanks wheeled around left, flanked em, and massacred them. it hought this mission was really easy.

    Rat's nest/v-80 target lock problem

sorry bro, ut its impossible to lock onto airborne targets with any weapon. Its only possible when you are f;lying a two-seater chopper and have an AI gunner wth you, thent eh AI will aim for you. i found its quite easy to shoot down airborne targets with the v-80. simply use the "v" gunsight view. You can zoom in and out, all you gotta do is learn how to lead the target.

    Final game thoughts *spolier*

i knda figured from teh beginiing that troska would die or get captured or sumthin. Think about it, troska was an ex-spec ops (like gastovski) that became a prominent military leader in the cold war crisis island chain. ?So why didn he appear in cold war crisis? cuz he got killed or captured in nogova. i think a campaign (either 3rd party, but preferably bohemia interactive) that revolved around gastovski and troska as they served together years before, and alsa revolved around Guba, maybe as a grunt that helped to establish the russian military presence on kolgujev. maybe here he will become dillusioned and become insane enough to commit acts of genocide etc. This sort of campaign could very well close the epic operation flashpoint, and i can very well forsee, and EXPECT such an addon campaign in the future. hehe, if you think about it, this campaign follows the same structure an format as star wars. at least in the aspect that each episode progresses in an unpredictable timespan either forwards or backwards, thus leving the audience to draw their own conclusions until the release of the next episode
