Canberra, Unimog 416 and C-130 all look mint as always. Sorry had to add this... We slept in the restaurants on the lower decks during our time in San Carlos Bay. We worried that this area presented the largest radar cross section for an exocet missile. The sinking of HMS Sheffield had shaken us all. We slept under the tables, our cabins below the bridge were too exposed. The naval Commander kept us informed of the current state of readiness using the ships PA system. Yellow Alert meant enemy aircraft were in the vicinity. Red Alert meant we were under attack. Frequently the PA sounded "RED ALERT - TAKE COVER" and we dived to the floor and covered our heads as we had been told. One missile was to close for comfort. The next call was issued ... "RED ALERT - TAKE CO......" then silence. We were sure the bridge had been hit but the CO had hit the deck as well. The missile was within 300 metres of the ship before a surface to air missile from HMS Fearless destroyed it. Laying under the tables whilst the ship shook from near misses, Norman Pound the 1st Engineering Officer asked Jack nervously "What kind of bombs do you think they are throwing at us now ?" Jack replied "I Don't know "First" - bloody big ones." After being told the night before that it was unlikely the ship would survive the day intact, many of the engineers had the fatalistic attitude of "If it happens I'll worry about it then". We knew we wouldn't survive long if we went in the water. The temperature was just above freezing. Engineers coming off watch tried to photograph some of the air battles ignoring the danger. The naval personnel obviously better trained took cover where ever they could. Phil Hancock Engineering Officer, Canberra. http://www.comcen.com.au/~raiment/

I think the gate you are talking about is at Ledra Palace Hotel where I was stationed on my second UN tour. We also used to go to the Turkish side of Nicosia to get cheap goods at the markets. I got a great ring made at one of the goldsmiths. This the hillside flag you refer to?
-
To be honest the Greek Guard/Turk Guard contact I experienced within the two UN tours I did on Cyprus was not hate. More funny banter. For instance. Greek Soldier would stand on his Observation Post shout over to the Turk Soldier to get his attention and then proceed to do as many press-ups as he could and lay down a challenge. Turk Soldier would then return with doing as many press-ups as he could on top of his OP. UN would step in before it escalated and got out of hand. MMMS we called it. Mediterranean Macho Man Syndrome. I also experienced some friendly exchanges from both sides of the buffer zone. Turks watch the Greeks, Greeks watch the Turks. UN watches them both. Greeks and Turks watch the UN. Tension yes. Hate no. Not in my experience. Strangest thing was walking past a Greek OP and hearing “Alright mate, you’re a south’ern (south east England) regiment aint yah?†from a Greek Londoner who visited his family in Cyprus and got caught by the draft!

Aye. I would be good to get AI to load/unload though. 11 AI in your squad equals 11 drivers after all!
-
Cool and thanks. So someone to step up to a load and unload script then!
-
Yeah beats being packed like a sardine into a Hercules from the looks of it... Thanks for the tank info. No more sitting on ships for days on end then (and getting a gong for playing volleyball). RockofSL & UNN, looking forward to that "semi-realistic cargo drop system". How to make a sad old man happy eh... Let him play with RAF’s No 2 Group I tell yeh!
-
Finally someone to administrate paperwork and drive supply trucks…
-
Can you enlighten us (me) if the loading we see there is scripted and to what degree or is it all done with human players? I fear AI would have their pinheads explode trying to figure out how to load vehicles on a ship devoid of programmed scripts. No, wait and see? OK.

You could take a divided section like Nicosia. Turkish - UN - Greeks Most of the kit used by all three (UN Nation depending) has been made in some form.
-
The same reason you would if you found someone posting inaccuracy’s about your country. Shame work on this mod did not take off as I have plenty of pictures of UN kit and lots of pictures of Ayia Napa square!

And beyond OFP's abilites AFAIK.
