U.S. Military Tractor Trailers

Hello community, I was able to get a hold of an older version of the Tractor-Trailers, since my working version was lost in a computer crash some time ago! It needs tons of work before its even close to release point. But I do have it In-game and sort of working. I will list as many of the Problems/Bugs as I can think of, or atleast the main ones needing addressed at that point in time! At the bottom of this Post are some Screenshots of what I have done so far. Progress: I> About 70% of the model needs to be UV-Mapped and Retextured (since for most of it I used other parts of the ArmA1 5Ton Model, and edited it to be what I needed it to be.) I> About 95% of it needs to be Scripted and Animated (I already have most of the scripts to make it drive and act as a Tractor-Trailer should thanks to Deanosbean, however there are problems with the scripts and some things are not Finished/Working correctly.) I> About 35% of the 5 or so versions are done, including: Tractor-Trailer (Flatbed), Tractor-Trailer (Boxbed aka Van), Tractor-Trailer (Lowboy), Tractor-Trailer (Tanker), Tractor (by its self), And Trailers of each by them selves as well. I> Both Military and Civilian Versions Known Issues/Bugs: I> Some of the shadows on the Trailer need to be fixed as it casts weird shadows that go down into the ground and to a point? I> When using the Script Deanosbeano made for the back wheels, the piece that is "Bolted" onto the underneath of the Trailer to hold the wheels on, dips way out of place when turning the engine on and driving? I> Many things need to be Modeled to make its acurate and realistic. I> Many more things need to be UV-Mapped and Textured(Altho I can make the Textures with no problem it I can get things UV-Mapped.) How to make a section of Terrain flat???

Hello Community, I am working on a Map, and would like to put an airbase in a Valley, but that part of the Valley is not completely level..so how do I make a specific area on my Terrain flat?? Dave, -

An object like a barracks, and no, no errors appear! It shows the "red" block for it in visitor but when in buldozer nothing.. -

Thanks guys your a lot of help..will try to out when I get home! EDIT: Ok..thanks alot guys I am slowly getting this to the way I want it! One more question, Is there some sort of "Smooth" tool? What I mean is, is there a way to take the manual made terrain(or well..terrain sections I edited) and "Naturally" Smooth them even more? Also I use Wilbur so can I do it in there and if so how? ok thanks guys, but what do i do to make it go from flat...then fade down/up to match the terrain around it? because where my air field is its a slope so when i make it flat one end just slopes downward then is unnatural drop to the flat area, then on the other side it goes from flat to a shear drop off down to the rest of the ground! Well you could always partner up with other community addon makes...specificly those doing mraps like my buddy explosivesaid and stillman they both have helped me in the past and are helping me with my "U.S. Army M926 Tractor-Trailer" addon cause all I can do is make basic models and stuff and I had to used the arma1 5ton model as a base because I can't create models from scratch(or else id volunteer to help you guys)and explosivesaid is helping me with texturing as I can do it but not with the skills him and stillman have..plus I can't get it to work like a trailer connected to the cab movement..aka intence scrippting! But no doubt they can so ask them maby you all can work togather and share skills and tecniques..and have a whole pack of mraps?? Plus there are others like namman and cascillio(forgot how to spell his name) they are wonderfully skilled addonmakers too! But if all else fails..then I will try to help but I have very limited photoshop and oxygen skills..and little to no scripting skills! -
If you get around to it can you make it so we may do "chinook water/land extractions" meaning land on water..or land and beable to drive a boat..or..let's say atv up into the cargo bay and then lock it into place then fly away, like in that youtube video?

Very nice, I never heard about this before. Any plan to release any Takistan style maps..or well maps from that area? or even the height map and sat stuff so others can help. -

Ok thanks I have got the "import script" option to show. But I am havingstill the same problem with the "smooth" tool...no blue dots appear, and it does not actually smooth anything? However it does allow me to draw the roads and import them to visitor 3 now, just no "smoothing" happening even tho I got the file from when I exported it from the road painter tool? Oh and also there is no "view distance" slider on my road painter screen ingame...the mini map box seems to expand over top where the view distance slider would be, from how I seen it on the demo vid for the road painter tool 2 -

I have a problem, I can lay the roads but when I try to do the "smoth" tool the blue dots do not show up...and its not clear if it smothed the terrain out? I then exported everything as in the demo vid, but when I try to open the file in visitor throw the "Scripts" option on the top I have no "Import Objects" icon, just the "add/run scripts" and "manage scripts"...but no "Import Objects"??? -
Looks very realistic I think! Amazing work. One question can you walk around inside or have it so when troops disimbark they sort of get out of there seats and run out of the back of the helo? And when entering the cargo bay they run up the ramp into the helo then get seated in the cargo bay?

yes, it would add to the detail and make it that more realistic! Plus it would be cool to be flying it on a mission in the rain.
