he's referring to a recent gameplay vid from OFP2 showing, among other things, an SP mission where if you get hit, you take out a medical bag and hold it up infront of your face and you are healed. Arcadey? Yes... Will I still play it? Absolutely... :) -

1st thing to note is that MARSOC absolutely uses M416. 2nd thing to note is ACE contained more than just USMC units. -

The weapons in ACE1 were largely the product of cooperation between myself, Dasquade, and Panda. RHS helped a lot with the Russian gear. What I learned from being involved with ACE1 is that people will complain about any and everything. It gets to the point where you just don't care any more. There was a time when I became upset with squabbles over things like the number of weapons but a wise man said to me "F those F-ers" :p -

I think the helmet is a bit small for they guy's head. It almost looks like a skateboarding helmet in ACU :p -

your very talented, Fortran - no doubt. Its obvious you're enjoying the project and have put a great deal of work into this. At the same time, I keep thinking that the effort and attention to detail is being squandered on such an impractical aircraft for A2. The draw distance is much less than the normal flight altitude for this aircraft. A stealth fighter flying at A2 altitudes is basically a flying target. I don't mean to discourage you from finishing - by all means, do what you enjoy :) I might just encourage you to apply your talent to make something more practical for the engine you have chosen for this. -

The lack of tools never slowed work on ACE2 down. The old tools were sufficient for the most part. -

Very small advantages for very small amounts of people. It really only has utility for people with TrackIR but even then, I think the difference is insignificant. In ArmA, you're 100% perfectly alligned down the sightline of the barrel while aiming. IRL, you're not always well alligned, thus the utility. While I would also like to see the paralyx effect implemented, I simply will not do it because of the number of people who experience the bug. Others feel differently - as evidenced by aimpoint's addon from A1. As for the list of which cards work and which don't - I have an HD 4850 and I do not have the bug. -

Its a little hard to tell from the pics but the textures look kind of flat in their lighting. I mean, if you look at the cockpit glass, it obviously has some specularity properties but the rest of the aircraft...not so much. Otherwise, cool :)

T_D is probably right - this happens to me occasionally, where you click the UV button and it opens minimized...you have to actually right click on the task in the windows toolbar and choose "maximize". -

the day that BIS gives us a function to check the remaining # of rounds in a mag (like VBS2 has) is the day we'll make an attachment system like the one you're describing. ---------- Post added at 01:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:41 AM ---------- Just checked...the EFV isn't scheduled to enter service until 2015 (if it dosn't get the ax before then). Hell - MULE, NLOS Cannon, FireScout, and many more of the FCS programs will be in service before then. This dosn't exactly fit within the scope of ACE. -

Did you try loading them as .tga instead of .paa? O2 PE can't load paas for some reason..

this was hardcoded into VBS2 and cannot function similarly in A2 unless BIS implements it.
