I have just installed 1.05 and its seems more stable (no CTD yet) but the hdd paging which was a smaller issue in 1.02 seems even worse now!?, any tips/fixes because its really annoying, once I've been round the island lots its like everything is loaded and runs fine but at first its really choppy and keeps paging the hd. I've tried installing on windows partition and on seperate one but makes no difference. I think I read somewhere about some disk caching utility but really should we have to use that sort of thing??. Thanks for any advice.

1.05 will patch all versions as far as I know please correct me if I'm wrong.

Not sure about that considering myself and many others reporting these problems are using neither a DX10 card or Vista.

Its nothing to do with age of the card, I have an x1900xtx and get similar issues, also using the latest Omega drivers.. even thinking of getting an 8800gts to get rid of the problem.

Is it possible to make an updated sound for the Harrier?, the default sound is like a lawn mower not an airplane!.

Downloading it now, lucky I've got 8mbit It's not maxing out though 550k/s now.

I'm sure I saw the Hind in earlier videos of arma. I wish there was more planes though, and there does not seem to be AH64.

Totally agree with everything you said, whether the "hardcore" ofp'ers like respawn or not it has to be in there for arma to become a mainstream online game, the simple fact is most noobs are not going to want to die once then wait 2 hours until the next battle, especially if you see some of the noobs from BF2 they often die within about 30 seconds lol.

Thanks for replies everyone, I shall have to wait and see when ofpec is back up if they still have those missions.

I really enjoy using choppers and planes in OFP, but I cant seem to find many missions which are air based, can anyone recommend some good ones for me please?, either single player or coop is good.
