  1. I'm going to be away from my gaming PC for some time. My laptop is a mac book pro and I would like to get CWA running through an emulator if possible.

Has any anybody had any success in doing so?

    Thanks.

  2. 'Why don't you go play Arma 2 then? You can fly the A10 right now, and fight with as many non-futuristic units as possible ;)

And if you want to play with a fictional A-10 then go play Frontline. :P

I do like the J.S.R.S mod, but my A-10C uses different sounds that have not been used in Arma before and more pacific sounds for the A-10C including warning, landing gear, canopy, and weapon sounds.

I look forward to hearing the GAU from inside and outside the cockpit.

  3. Why not?

    1. It's the Armaverse Ie not our universe.

    2. It's the near future Armaverse Ie even more unpredictable as far as Geo-political schemes go.

    3. For all we know they were bought in 2022 on a 10 year payment plan because CSAT was sniffing around and NATO was in need of an adequately equipped proxy/ally.

    4.

We don't know if the genocidal Altian faction was in league with CSAT when they bought/received the vehicles. Matter of fact, we still don't know if they are now, the campaign hasn't made that clear.

    5. Altis is not Greece so why would the BMP-3 be relevant?

Let's be honest here. It is because the art assets were available.

  4. Oh, I found that out by asking about it. The TPWLOS embedded in TPWCAS applies the LOS system to AI-to-human engagement. TPWLOS on its own (NOT in TPWCAS) does that AND AI-to-AI engagement. What this means is if you use the one in TPWCAS, the LOS system will only work on AI fighting human players. TPWLOS on its own applies it to every engagement, human AND AI. Why the difference, I do not know.

    Does that help clarify?

It does indeed, thank you! :)

  5. Ehm, yes. The A2 way.

My problem is that some people will push for it to be as heavy handed as it is in BF3, which I just found to be detrimental to enjoyable gameplay.

We have others here wanting it to make things harder while combating AI, which I think should be an AI issue.

It is like taking a car into a garage with a flat tyre and preceeding to ask the mechanic to fix the brakes.

My point is, is that there are multiple ways, not just two.

  6. A2 had suppression before BF3, I would even go as far as saying Dice copied it from A2. But then they went and overdid the effect.

A2 suppression level is fine, BF3 is not.

If it is an option, has it been confirmed I dont know, then I will indeed have no problems how it is implimented into the game.

You do know that the BF3 way is not the only way to simulate suppression?
