May I ask what the rest of your system specs. are? As I have the same graphics card but have most settings on low and very low with 1200m VD; shadows disabled and 1024x768x32 resolution.

Bugger! All might not be lost mate. I just remembered that there is an external graphics card in development. Basically its a pc graphics card that can be plugged into a laptop. But there has not been any news on it for a while.

The thing with laptops is that they sacrifice a lot for mobility - especially with regards to graphics cards. I found out the hard way and wasted a huge amount of money (to me anyway) on a Sony Vaio VGN-FE41s (I think thats the name). I was expecting ArmA to look the dog's danglies with it (settings full up etc.). However I have to keep the settings on my laptop roughly the same as my desktop - circa 2003 AGP machine with 7600GS 512MB graphics and 2x512MB RAM sticks put on to extend its life. Don't get me wrong it still runs ArmA well with it's 2GB RAM and Intel Core 2 Duo and in some cases can seem to handle large battles a little better. The laptop screen also makes the game look better. But for the amount I spent on the laptop I could have got a fcuking slick desktop where ArmA would have looked the business and performed greatly. So before you buy, do your research! I can't stress that enough.

That can work good for me sometimes. Also try thier site G8 for contacting some of the team to see if they still have it.

Search for the ic arma tournament. That is what PvP should be for ArmA. It's 100 times better than public co-ops and the ramboing claustrophobic maps of regular PvP games.

Does anyone know of any good links for the Dynamic Afghanistan missions by the DMA team? Including the one with the VDV, Delta Force and Delta Force heavy. Same goes for the complete Toyota Wars pack that includes missions, ECP effects, replacements etc. And the DMA Army pack if possible. The link on ofp.info does not work for some reason. I know I put up on ofpfiles and that there are links on file front itself but these are so incredibly slow for me. I really regret deleting these now. Any help is apreciated. EDIT: Managed to get the army pack, VDV mission and Toyota Wars but still can't get the others.

Try to d/l again. OFP.info had a corrupt file which they have replaced...and no PW required. I can't even access www.ofp.info as I just get a page saying the name expired Dec. 31. Has it moved to a new address?

believe me i spent qiute a while modding ofp/arma and i know that it takes (at most) half an hour to make crappy port from ofp. Yep, i know that on this forums it's always "wow" whatever is released, but i really want to know what is the reason in releasing these "addons". As stated they wanted the first release to be of OFP demo state. The OFPE ports are clearly placeholders which was obvious to anyone bar you. When I say mod process I mean this specific mod and not you. It is more than likely they have a different build process than Lib did. You also have to remember that some of these guys are already part of an addon/mod team. You also stated that the mod had been in development for 6 months which you cannot verify. It could have been a shorter period. They don't develop mods for straight months at a time. Not to mention that they have real lives since they are grown up. I suggest you grow up as well. Your comment was just an insult. Obviously it is too much effort for you to simply ask if the ports are place holders.

People can't read. You shouldn't comment on the development process since you do not know how it works. You should tone down your ego as well. Furthermore CWR is recruiting again so maybe you could join and show them your leet skillz?

Once the whole CWR mod has been released I would love to see THobson's Abondoned Armies mission ported over. Anyway,I'm no mission making guru but how do you get OFP missions to show up with CWR in the editor? Steal the Car shows up but it loads nothing into the editor. Once again, excellent job guys.

Yeah mate, it's a tree that only shows up on Christmas time. Not really important.

They are dotted all over the island although this particular tree is where you start on Malden with the mission editor. It is also the first village you take on the demo mission.
