I thought this was a 1.11 specific problem but I'm pretty sure it's my own doing. I changed the difficulties in my profile with the one from the 'Addon Compilation Thread' and it has resulted in the above error. What is wrong here?

I get an error message just before ArmA starts. It says: Config: some input after EndOfFile When I click 'OK' ArmA cuts off and doesn't launch. I have never experienced this error before and have only recently done a fresh install of ArmA. Using the shortcut provided by the beta install. System: Windows XP SP2 Nvidia 7600GS 512MB AGP 1GB RAM Intel P4 2.66GHz I did change the difficulty settings in my profile with the one from the 'Addon Compilation' thread. It's probably something I have overlooked.

You need the Resistance expansion pack hence flashpointresistance.exe. Search for the Game Of The Year Edition (GOTY) and it has Resistance with it as well as the latest patch. It should come pretty cheap.

As an avid user of Sanctuary's GRAA mod and animations I have found it rather difficult to use the lean anims. This is because I have to press the 'A' key and the left arrow key to get the lean function to work. This means I have to take my hand off the mouse and thus aiming and firing becomes rather difficult. How would I change the keys to use the lean anims?

To CWMOD creators. I have setup a server running the CW mod but am having some troubles with the missions being unstable. There is no 'lag' but seemingly horrible desync. Sometimes missions scripts don't execute at all. What were you guys experience with CWMOD MP? Also several missions don't work such as Culps, Prelude, Skirmish etc.

You are not alone.

Set up your units/battle/whatever for a screen. Then place a unit as player out of sight of the action. Type in this unit's init field, this exec "camera.sqs" When you preview in editor you will be controlling a camera allowing you to take screen shots without the annoying ammo counter etc. Press L to get rid of cross hair. Using code to slow down time to take a screen would be good too but I don't know how to do this. Static animations can be good when used right. Milkman released a big custom anim pack on http://ofp.gamepark.cz IIRC. Pimp up your screen shots with Photoshop. But if you do not have Photoshop search for GIMP 2.0 (no pun intended), it's free. Info could be a little rusty as I have not taken a screen shot for OFP in a long time. Maybe seasoned photographers such as Ingram, Parvus or Loony will give you some advice.

Not FileFront. Just God no. It used to be a great service but it's just absolute pants. Horrible d'load speeds at about 11kb/s while I can get 120kb/s with the Aus server! But I can't seem to get files from their now. They seem to clear out some files at random as I know (IIRC) Sanctuary has had some problems with that. Anyway. Looking forward to trying out Silent War. I never knew they released stuff.

Yes. I was watching this programme (can't remember the name: takes place in a British tank museum) on tanks on Discovery Knowledge during Tanks and Tactics weekend. An ex-army guy who worked there (grey haired, tad eccentric) argued that the Germans would have been better off just mass producing the IV model. There were loads of problems with the different tanks they produced. Only certain factories could produce certain tanks, resources were split, lack of tanks because of diversification etc.

Quite impressed by the features of Kaspersky. With regards to Norton. I don't know what the hell it does on my computer. Once it used to constantly bug me with notifications, 'Do you want to start resistance.exe', or whatever. But now it does nothing and its system scans pick up the same 'tracking cookie' again and again. That is the only thing it detects.

I've completely had it with Norton Security and have been looking around for new security suites. I'm stuck between ESET and AVG suites. I know people that swear by both but I'm leaning towards ESET. I'm totally illiterate when it comes to Internet Security so what one would be the best?

It doesn't have it. OFP.info has FAR more addons than OFPFiles. It has not had a decent update in months.

Strangely, I was just thinking of looking into that myself sometime. Hearing the enemy always speaking in the same voices as my own men is starting to get very old. Dunno if it's possible, though. I imagine it would be possible. I took a poke through FDF's OFP stuff to see how they did it. It was like trying to read a foreign language for the first time. Also, I just d'loaded the Malvinas mod. It just has one Spanish speaker (someone called Salmon) but the voices don't play in game. The voice files are there though. Hearing the SLA and RACS speaking in American accents is getting a tad annoying.
