Been a long time. I would have finished this earlier but I built a new PC and installed the W7 RC so I didn't move all my files onto it as I would have had to back them up again. Now that W7 is released I have begun to transfer all my files onto the new system. I have polished this up a bit. I can't remember all the changes I made but everything should work fine. If there is a bug tell me and I will fix it. Steal the Ural v1.0 Link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JKN5AMAH Expect to see a beta of the sequel in a week or two. The combat in it should be far more interesting.

It seems that way, especially with the screenshot of the forest in the first page and the fact that the issue happens with other games. I can't think what else the issue might be. You might want to go on to a PC forum as the folks there will know better than me. PC components are very sensitive so 5 years old is old when it comes to PC things, especially if you use it quite a bit. If your PC is AGP you should be able to get a replacement rather cheaply.

Looks like your graphics card is on its last legs.

It's Henno Garvie! -
CFS and A2 are completely different things. - The CFS world is nowhere near as detailed as A2s. - CFS is a flight sim while A2 covers infantry, air and armour - combined arms or mil-sim. - The AI for CFS will work completely differently than that of A2s - You can't play as armour in CFS - You can't play as infantry in CFS I might as well go on to a COD forum and rant about how it can't do large scale terrain with appropriate VD like FSX.
-
Err, the terrain in A2 can be a drain on resources. Well, the trees and buildings. Both of which are highly detailed (unlike CFS3) and used throughout the map, often in close proximity. I ain't no "expert" such as yourself but this comparison with CFS3 seems a bit flawed.
-
Isn't CFS3 quite an old game? Plus flight sim terrain is nowhere near as detailed as that of ArmA 2's.

I have Fallout 3 for the PS3 and although I haven't played it all the way through I have not encountered what you are describing. Could you explain?

Some things work better than others. :p

If Firefox screws up royally. Might give Chrome a go though, sounds like it's a solid bit of kit.

Firefox. Far more user-friendly and nice looking than IE. Perfect. No need for me to try any other browser right now.

New island projects - what do you want?

With this and STALKERGBs Brit troops (be sure to make a Spoon one) all we need now is a Werewolf addon. :omg: Beautiful music you mean. ;) -
If you want MP play and all the addons and mods that are available you will need to get Resistance. Resistance is more than just a couple addons and a campaign. It also updated the engine that OFP runs on which is why most folks got it. You will probably struggle to find just the Resistance pack so get the GOTY edition. It contains everything, OFP, Resistance and the Red Hammer Campaign. Costs £4.99. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Operation-Flashpoint-Game-Year-PC/dp/B0007VHHBW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1253723995&sr=1-2

Excellent work, the 1st mission in the campaign is great! Anybody else get a flickering texture issue when you are inside a landing craft? It doesn't happen when I go into 3rd person view. It just happens in the smaller craft but doesn't happen with the LCM.

A Fireteam seems to be the basic unit you command in the game. Is it possible to command a larger or smaller force such as 1 or 12 soldiers?
-
Great shots Col. Faulkner. Are the bayonets usable?
-
Definitely not. That's not something I have came across. Most Europeans are Pro-American and if there is some negativity it is probably due to political factors ie the Germans and French are interested in a Europe as a world player next to the US (whereas the UK and some other European countries aren't interested in that). Otherwise, vast majority of Europeans like the US which is why US films and food and so on are popular here.

I was in NYC in October just after it happened. We came across Ground Zero by accident. I remember the smell and seeing the remains of the towers. Missing posters were all over the site and Grand Central. I will never forget that. I was also in NYC earlier this year and visited the 9/11 remembrance which was next to a fire station with memorials, and the NYPD museum which had a section dedicated to 9/11. It was very touching. Never forget.

http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1133704&postcount=9 The arrival of ArmA 2 has changed things I suppose. -
After a couple weeks of 1.3 the campaign seems to be playable now, I have gone through most missions without a hitch so far (although the artillery bug in Manhattan is still there). However, there is still quite a bit to be done.
-
It wasn't in OFP but mod teams eventually implemented it.
-
Well, I don't want to play serious shooters all the time. Which is why I play BF2. BF2 is great if you just want to jump in and blow shit up for a while.
-
Voted Yes. There have been many situations in A2 where I have needed a bayonet. I use the bayonet many times in OFP with UKF and SLX. In RO and its mods, the bayonet has gotten me out of very sticky situations.
