    I saw the announcement for that when I was watching the live stream. They talked about BiA a lot, bigging it up, and then announced...that. Disappoint to say the least.

    Arma fans really will complain about anything. :p Personally, I liked InstaGoat's one and no I'm not a Yank. :) Would be interesting to see it with the NATO flag since it's NATO forces.
  13. A small mission I made to use some of the great recently released PRACS addons. A section from the newly deployed Task Force Lion conducts a patrol in the Black Forest in Chernarus to root out Chedaki fighters. ReadMe It's basic patrol mission but I added in some dialogue to make the truck journey a little less bland and thanks to UPSMON the position and composition of enemy forces in the forest changes each time you play so there is a little replay value. Please report errors and feel free to make suggestions to improve the mission. I'll most likely add to it and expand it a bit. It's not a huge or ground breaking mission but I hope you enjoy playing it.     [SP] Black Forest Patrol

    I have a new version almost finished but I would appreciate it if some people would test it out before I release. I've attempted to put in place 3 alternate endings and want to make sure it works out smoothly. The endings themselves aren't that fancy, just some minor changes in dialogue and/or objective but I want to make sure it's set up right. Post here or send me a PM if you want to try it out. Also, I'm about half way through the next one, still a patrol mission, but different.

    I'll try that but I am worried that each contact would be too easy for the squad to handle and be over too quickly. The surrender thing is part of UPSMON but I can disable it if you want.

    Thanks for the comments guys. I'm working on update right now that I hope to get out soon. So far I've added in music from ArmA 1 and reduced the amount of enemy AI that appear since in my latest test my entire squad got surrounded and wiped out. In the event of that still happening I'll set up an alternate ending. Bah, thought I took care of that. I'm not used to the new task system yet, the missions I've made were for my use and some friends so I never really bothered with it. I'll fix it in the next version. I'll make the truck trip shorter too. Yeah, definitely, a couple more at the least. One of them I aim to be a sizeable battle.

    Great work on PRACS guys. My thanks to all involved with creating and making these releases possible. I've been having a lot of fun with them and I really like the various units like the Fusiliers, 1st Division and so on. Gives it a nice touch. Over the past couple days I created a small mission, nothing fancy, using some of the addons but I could use some folks to test it. Wld427 and any other PRACS guys fancy testing it out before I release it in user missions?

    Hey Wiki I'm enjoying the campaign so far but I haven't got to the main part yet. I've encountered an issue with the third mission. My helicopter clips the comms tower near the LZ frequently. You might want to give them a flight path that heads towards the river and then to the LZ so they avoid flying too near it at speed. You might also want to disable the BIS conversation system since it clashes the dialogue you have with your fellow soldiers. This code in the init.sqf should disable it IIRC: player setVariable ["BIS_noCoreConversations", true]; On the second mission I wasn't aware I had to drive to the CP so a mention in the briefing, a marker on the map or an in-game hint that the player needs to do that would also be good. hint "Drive to the CP" I'm looking forward to playing through the rest of it. Not much SP stuff for the Fallujah map and on that basis alone it's worth playing.

    Heh, I remember that thread now. First having to defend CM from some ArmA 2 players and then having to defend ArmA 2 from some CM players. :butbut: Well, it isn't really RTS, in the sense of what most gamers consider RTS. It's what's known as a 'wargame' and they can either be played in real time or be turn based and usually, but not always, hex based and can be tactical or strategic in scale. They tend to be have a good degree of realism and accuracy although it isn't always the case. A few titles are: - Close Combat (used by the USMC as a training aid) - The Operational Art of War III - TacOps4 (Another training aid) Before CMSF the CM series was turn based (I never played before then) but with Shock Force and its new engine there was the capability for both to exist but it is primarily focused on real time these days.
