This is somewhere I haven't posted in a long time. Taken in crappy conditions with my Sigma 10-22.
  2. This thread is really making me want to start on my series 3 land rovers for ArmA.

Trusting American television? what do you mean by that? i bet that the f-22 can take down 7 of them,Its the best fighter in the world by a longshot, and it will be for the next 15-20 years, so i think we will trust "american television". Well the Raptor can carry 8 missiles at most, great. 7 su 37(using it as its slightly more realistic than the 47) Can carry 98 Air to Air Missiles. And if the ground controller was smart he'd order them to take out the AWACS and tankers, so the F-22 is flying blind and with limits on range and dogfighting time... In a straight up 1vs1 fight maybe, but getting 98 missiles towards you theres a chance 1 would hit, oh also the 7 30mm cannons firing at it. Offcourse I'm talking out of my ass here as I havent flown either in a dogfight. The F-22 has stealth mode so it can fire missiles at you without knowing. It has the same radar cross signature as the F-117, one of which was brought down by a 40 year old AA missile system. As soon as the F-22 opens its weapon bays, it has the cross signature of something the size of a car. So as soon as it goes to fire at one aircraft, it has 7 aircraft firing back, same happens when it fires its gun, as soon as it fires its gun, it aint stealthy. Offcourse if this is a BVR fight its going to be very hard to spot, but if its in visual range it would be easier, not much but still easier. Anyway, the thing will be top dog for 5-10 years, the technology will be one step ahead of it. You wear armour to protect from a bow & arrow, so they invented cross bows, etc. Anyway this is my last post here, since I'm not an expert on any of this.

Where did you get that one? The military channel I have to ask, Why would the US Military say the F-22 (A now operational Fighter) could "take down" 7 of the Su-47( A test airframe for advanced avionics and aerodynamic research of which there is 1)?

My god. The trailer has everyone talking about it, which will be good for the film. I bet it has something to do with Hello kitty.

    Airshows

I personally believe the italians put on a better display than the reds. Thats the 2nd time I've seen the thunderbirds fly, same display. Except this time they obeyed the crowd line rules, in salthill they done fast passes right over the crowd and a split above the crowd...

    Airshows

Just back from RIAT, was a good day, bit rainey at the start but it cleared up. The Red Arrows put on thier best display I think, trying to beat the ThunderBirds( Who were rather..boring) Went to Duxford the next day to have a look around the museam. I got a flight in it when it was at my towns airshow.

Cheers, I got an Eos400d in the end, with a 18-55(kit lens) and a Tamron 70-300mm, which so far is performing far better than my dads Sigma lense. I'm going to Fairford and then Duxford for a dander round the museam. Not looking forward to the trip, about 8 hours in a car and 12 hours on a boat over 3 days..
