its schmuck of course. I wasn't on the server till 11 or so but I was watchin what was goin on with ofp watch while I was puttin together part of the new pc
-
@ jelly belly - we are usually on in the evening like 7 -12 pm EST sometimes earlier or later - saw you there with ofpwatch, but was busy. Last night was a dead night on the server. @ luk - I am not the best person to answer this, but bottom line is income is a multiple of the points you have when you push "I" to see your score, and a multiple of how many territories that your team occupies, so the higher that score the more you will make. Kill more and cap more to earn more. As for getting an ai squad leader into a vehicle, if you are commander, there is a button in Command and control that lets you individually control the men in the squad or watch them. Right now I do not remember the specific route to it since I have not done it in a while, but if you got to the menu for "capture territories" then you are close. I was messing around in this and found those controls. The thing I noticed though is when the game is far in, lag sometimes doesn't let you get the control you want. I kept tellin some ai of a player who disconnected to get out of a tank that was near me so I could take it, but they never did, so I just blew it up and rebuilt it.

-nomap should help out with this as karr said. this error has happened to several of the regular server players with ATI cards. In the majority of cases, it works fine. The other option is to do the install in mod folders like ofpwatch does and enable/disable whatever mods are needed (disabling all that are not needed) for a given map. This is not really much of a pain at all, some people do this, and restarting ofp after a heavy RTS game can be good for the pc as well. The basic root of the problem is having to many addons loaded at once, -nomap should only load addons as you need them, or you can do it yourself.

if the server is free and powerful, then I would say go with it, it would free up some resourses on your pc. But that is not necessary, your own machine will do. I usually copy the mission into my mpmissions folder from the mpmissioncache, and then start it like me being the server to myself through ofp. I do not know if putting it in your spmissions folder works ok or not. Then just don't enable too many ai to fight against - cause it will get really laggy and/or crash if you try to take on 12 ai. Be sure to have an ai in the general spot. hope that helps

wow no posts here in a while... Anyway thought of something that would be good to get in print somewhere. What are the key combo's for placing the waypoints in the Command and Control menu for the commander. I always forget those - isn't "shift + left mouse" WP1? then maybe "alt + Shift + left mouse" for WP2?

wouldn't be something as simple as oh say logining into them would it? Or maybe it is if it is an enemy cj/salvager, blowing it up and rebuilding it? damn you are such a tease birdkilla, how will I ever figure these things out??
-
the salvagers just go once they know of destroyed vehicles around (not sure on the range) - so destroying vehicles (better to be enemy) should make them head out - Septober - are you using the -nomap command as a startup parameter?
-
-nomap is a startup parameter like -nosplash, or -mod=@WW2. I believe adding it to ofp will make it so it only loads or "maps" the addons as needed, not loading every addon at startup. It seems to work real well, I did a test where I had all the needed addons on for karr's server, and then left on the several 100 other addons I have that are usually turned off with ofpwatch. For a week in the all addons on configuration nothing went wrong, where in the past if I left on the unused addons, I would crash out in like ten minutes. definately 1.94 with -nomap is the best config
-
well it comes down in the same fashion eh?
-
and I started to notice the frame loss about the time we bombed it and yet we still lost
-
The high altitude drop of the b61 can work - I would add that not continuing on the same course as the bomb is advised; i.e. release and loop away, or release and hard turn out of there. Be as far away from the blast when that initial flash of it goes off, then you will not get blasted. And speed is your friend... Oh and avoid flying into the radar... must add - ww2 tanks are much much better now.

I kant weight fer hte copie off Intellitipe to gat hear. It shud halp me. So how long do we have to wait for it to get "bundled" with the os since it is an "obvious extension"? Or would that be somehow in violation of the various lawsuits over the last few years......

deja vu - I think I read that last post somewhere else. hmmmmm. Is PD really "WGates" whoever that is?? Might the guy who controls the world endorse this RTS mod... hmmmmm... With all that software empire and such he still takes or should I say spends so much of his life playing RTS. Wow how does he do it - If I was only capable of so much. But alas I am just a schmuck, and schmuck says "PLAY MORE RTS" - So play on Mr Gates
