Can anyone make sence of these extra folders please? I mean why are there 3? -
Anyone know if there is a US vehicle in OFP that can drive on water like the Russian BRDM? See here -> http://starstreams3.tripod.com/brdm_s.htm I think it would be cool to have a very fogy and swampy mission with lots of ponds and rivers and people could use these vehicles to get around. the mood would be very swamp like.

I’m running OFP 1.46 with the RedHammer add-on on a Geforce4 Ti4400 with the latest detonators/ DirectX 8.1 Doses anyone else notice that when you shoot a rocket or look at a street light at certain distences the corona is not smooth and natural looking, the gradient color values in the corona do not fade soft but are binding. The best way to picture this: imagine if you were to set your monitor down to 16 bit color. It’s almost like the coronas on the street lights are not displaying properly. The game looks great in 32 bit color except for the lights from the explosions and even the street lights. Anyway one else notice this?

Someone told me last night before we started an online game that if I fly into the safe zone everyone on my team will die. Is this BS? How are you suppose to capture the town if you can’t fly into the safe zone. To be honest I think it is a lam rule in the first place. In a real life situation: Your going to tell me that if a US plain were to fly into a Russian safe zone the entire US army would die?...lol Isn’t this game all about being real? Let’s keep it that way

Hmm what drivers and Operating system you running? I have the Gainward Ti 4400 and am using the latest Detonators http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=drivers What ever you do don’t use the Manufactures drivers. -

I just read that winter maps do not work with Resistance? I’ve be working with Winter_Everon which happens to be one of the most beautiful looking maps in my opinion. http://starstreams3.tripod.com/armcar_in.htm http://starstreams3.tripod.com/road1.htm http://starstreams3.tripod.com/snap045.htm Will this eventually be fixed so all the winter maps will be useable in Resistance? because this is not sounding cool at all.

Hmmm, do you know if Resistance uses penetration damage as apposed to Cumulative? I notice a lot of games today are switching from Cumulative to Penetration, I would expect no less from a high end game like this. I know that using a penetrative damage factor would take up more CPU power for sure but hell with the P4 and AMD systems systems of today the game should play like glass either way. -
That’s a good point Blackdog, and anyway: if anyone doesn’t buy Resistance in the first place they are not a true die hard which I fide hard to believe since this is the most kick a$$ game on the planet as fare as I'm concerned. == Btw, Kegetys. Would you happen to know why some of the trees are not being knocked down in Winter_Everon_v1.2? I think this map I have is By: I-DOE-I. Anyway 90% of the trees do not make a sound when you run into them with tanks and they don’t even fall. Some of the bushes make a sound and crush but not all of them, is this something wrong in the code? Or is there an easy fix?

There is no problem; I guess I just don’t understand what each folder is used for by the game engine? I mean why are there three missions sub folders? Isn’t one enough? I just thought it would be a good idea to know this info if I’m going to be any kind of mission developer.  Why are there three Mission folders anyway? (3 “not including†the Missions folder in the Main OFP program folder. -

I agree Major Fubar, I don’t even think that thing can knock a tree down unless your going 60 and hopefully you don’t die in the process on trying..lol -
I’m not sure where you live in the US but I’m in Chicago, Resistance was pushed back to July 10th so I’m sure you should see it in stores around that time

See that’s what I’m not clear on, it seems that every group of units has their own set of way points, what I mean by that is if you have 5 different sets of Groups, when you go to add a way point for each group, the way point always starts with #0 then the next way point is #1 So lets say I was to start a new group of lets say tanks, now this new group would start with its own set of way points starting with #0 Then the next group if I decede to make one would also start with way-point#0...right? I guess what I’m asking is, dose each set you define start at WayPoint#0, another words doses each new set have it’s own starting WayPoint? Thanks -

In the User folder in the main OFP game folder: There is a 1. Missions folder 2. Saved folder The mission’s folder inside the User folder seems to have all my mission names, however if I go into the Saved Folder, there are three more folders: (A) missions (B) Tmp © Users Then if I go into the next User sub folder there is another folder with my user name and inside that there is another mission’s folder. Well lets just say I’m a little confused at this point. I’ve got a total of 3 Missions folder subdirectories all in the User folder. This is a clean install of OFP and Red Hammer, what the…… is going on.... ? -

Opps, your right I forgot about the M113 ambulance that should do the trick! I'll be honest though, I realty think the inside of the BRDM looks cool and is fun to drive, I wish the US had a similar vehicle to drive over water. The inside of the M113 looks kind of plain if you know what I mean? Thanks guys! -

hmmm, didn’t know that, so your saying that the M113 can drive over water? if that is true it's kind of a disadvantage to the Russians for my plan. are there any other US vehicles that can drive across water that don't have guns on them? I don't think that BRDM has weapons it can shoot? -
When ever I use the rocket launcher, I only get one shell and then I’m empty. I’ve tried using the Reload button but that only reloads my AK gun. Is it possible to carry more then one rocket launcher shell with me? What’s the limit? The other question is, how do I drop my weapons? “Leave them behind†The Rocket launcher is heavy; I might need to drop something. I’ve seen the option to drop stuff but it only appears when I go o grab something from an ammo box, so how do I drop something manually?

I know that when you have more vehicles and things like buildings on a map it slows the game play down. However let say that you the player were not standing in view of the majority of these things would the speed of the game still be affected at that time? Another words, what I’m asking is, let’s say you had 30 groups of tanks on one end of the map but you the player was standing on the other end of the island with just one tank next to you, would the speed of the map still be slowed down by all the other units on the other side of the island? (What is not seen is not renderd) Also when an enemy unit dies, dose that result in the freeing up of some resources?

Time a group of enemy units to attract a location?

I’ve searched this forum and Avon lady’s as well as a few other sites. Would someone be able to post a few steps to get a set of units to move into a location but not right way, I would like them to start moving 30 min's after the game has started? I "do" know how to use way points to make them move to a location and attack but can I set a time on that or do I need to do something special? Thanks ahead!
