Hmm, I’m just curious about something. Is is possible to respawn AI groups? I never use Kill zones as I find them to be unrealistic, so what I do is I put a few groups of AI tanks around a location to guard each team’s base. Each US groups has at least one Vulcan for ainti air attacks and Each Russian AI groups has one Shilka for the same reason. Anyway how would I go about making an AI group respawn, would each unit in the group need to have-> [this]exec "vrs.sqs" in It’s INT field? -

When I die, I keep coming back as someone else on my team. According to the “How to do everything manual†it says that if you want your men to respawn at the Base, you need to add either the number (4) to the description.ext file or you can just use the Word Base instead of the number. I also have Markers with the appropriate names. Either way my guy is coming back as someone else until I am left with no men on my team as they all get killed. This is not what I want; I want each person to come back as them self while the remaining living is still present? respawn = "4" respawndelay = 20 -

Never mind, apparently it doses work this way I set it to 900 and they respawned in 15min’s -

I’ve got a script file that someone made that I’m using for respawing vehicles. Everything is working good except, I’ve seen in some maps where the vehicles don’t come back until half way through the session or until a few rounds goes by. My question is: how do I make it so that respawns on vehicles reappear every 3 or 4 rounds, another words I don’t want the vehicles to be replaced instantly? -

You know what, after reading the script, I just realized something. I’ve never opened the script before but it even says to add a game logic, so this must be my problem. -

Hello drcharm I’ll try that, as far as the script file I was using, it did have a line at the biggining almost like what you said. But this line read  ?!(local Server): Goto "end" so I'm going to modifly this line  and put in what you said, then save the file. by the way I did not have a game Logic called Server I wonder if that was the problem? Anyway, Doses the script below look correct? I’ve got the respawns working for the players but something is not wrong with the vhicals or maby the script file is messed up The script is working but for some reason every time something respawns I get double's of it at the Base. So for example if I jump in a tank and leave and then come back to my base, there is a new tank sitting there even though the one I’m driving was never destroyed. Shouldn’t these vehicles only respawn when the unit gets destroyed? before you know it there is stuff everywhere. what could be causing this? -

I've read somewhere that the view distance can be changed in the MISSION.SQM file using a "setviewdistance" command. How exactly should the command read and where doses it go? I tried opining the Mission.sqm file in note pad but all I saw was a bunch of code.

I'll give that trigger a try, didn't know you could do that. It's going to be a big trigger though becouse I want the whole level to have this. so when your in a plain or on foot, I want all players to be able to see a little further. Also, @-> 1ncognito If you select a way point or object as you mentioned, will that view distance just be active when you’re by that object or will everyone in the level be able to view the custom setting at any time?

Do you need to use the Quotes? Example: "base" or just base? Anyway this manual I was talking about was a very popular manual hosted at the OFP editing center, I’m sure a lot of you would recognize it if you saw it. I guess they just typed something wrong. by the way, thanks to all of you! -

I’ve figured it out, O my lord You have to first select the Multiplayer Button on the main screen and then click where it says Mission at the top of the next screen in small text. I on the other had was clicking the missions Wizard button right away. -

I just tried loading the mission wizard to give myself a start on a CTF map. For some reason I only have one template, (corporative) Why are the CTF and other templates not showing up? I’ve check the templates folder and it is filled with a ton of them. Has there been some kind of change in the 1.90 update that I’m not aware of? I've never had a problem with the wizard before. by the way I'm trying to make a multiplayer CTF map -

I don’t get this, I have never had problems updating any of my copys of OFP. First off. Doses OFP Cold war need to be updated to 1.47 before running the Resistance instillation? Also, someone keeps telling me that the 1.90 resistance update is a separate update from the update for the original game cold War. I told him that all you need is 1.90 which I thought updates everything if you run the game from the Resistece Icon. Anyway I’m getting an error when trying to run the OFP1.46 right after installing all three disks. the error is saying that there is something wrong with the mission files. These disks are in perfect shape and have always worked. Can someone please list the Instillation order as well as list the order to install Updates? ....Like this for example: 1. Install OFP Cold war 2. Install OFP Red Hammer 3. Run 1.46 Patch 4. Install OFP Resistance 5. Run 1.90 Patch? Is that order correct?

Yes, it seems you are right about the order I’ve posted above I just reinstalled everything with out errors. I have the gold CD. So basically the 1.46 patch must be applied “Before†running the Resistance instillation CD. I’m a little disappointed that BIS did not mention anything about the order in the manual or on their web site. Sorry but I think its total BS. I would have made my life so much easer if they would have at least put something in the read me files about the order of instillations. Anyway, I still don’t know what the heck is going on with the Mission wizard’s templates not loading, in reference to my other post http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=25088 -

Hello RalphWiggum That doesn’t make sense; I’ve never had a problem with these instillation disks before. I’ve checked the Template folder and all the folders are there just as on the OFP cold war disk #1. Also the template folders in the games program folder are also the same size when I checked the properties of the folders. You know I love this game but some times it can be a real pain in the a$$. Anyway this is not right, it always worked before and I just finished reinstalling all 3 disks and patching the game. I have a feeling this new 1.90 update had something to do with it. -
